Dorian was so, so, so intelligent and retained that medical expertise. I think Viki was pissed because she was hoping that Dorian would fumble around and would sound stupid and would have forgotten most of her medical training.
Two brown eyes in Llanview...Dorian and Nora's looking into each other. They didn't realize it but they were good for each other. And Dorian's testimony and tears actually helped her case in the long run because this was when she finally started to gain more allies. A few people in Llanview began to see that Dorian was not the heartless golddigger that Viki so desperately tried to depict her as.
Ppl forget she got fried nearly twice for something she did NOT do...and suffered humiliation all the way without one friend to support her. It always made me why she had to bribe David Vickers to concoct phony evidence against her when she should've set out to prove her own innocence. Plus, I also wondered why didn't any of Victor's children open up an investigation right after Victor was laid to rest. This was pursued nearly 20 year after the fact(which makes it harder to prove)
I never got why Dorian pulled all those stunts to get Nora to defend her. Esp given Nora had to drill bo & viki. Yes she did have some good moments but in the end she didn't push bo esp when she had him really nailed about his personal bias against Dorian nailed. I thought it ridiculous that the jury didn't see a serious problem that vikis powers & influence got Dorian arrested on bos very first day as commissioner. It sickened me to see Nora go to viki and apologize to her when she was doing her job keeping a woman off death row! That's another sick thing that the d.a. office did not have to go for death. So vikis fake outrage hearing Dorian getting death bugged me when that's all she went on & on about Dorian getting death.
I think 1994 was the best year OLTL ever had. Personally, I don't think it ever did as well again, I think it was all downhill from there(Strasser's Dorian, RH's Todd, the late Phil Carey's Asa) you're right OLTL kicked ass in 94? God WTF happened?
94 was unbelievable all around. 93 was brilliant but it really only had the one story the gang rape which was so brilliant as it was played & written dead serious & given how true to life sadly gang rape happens & how easily it can when u have a bunch of wild frat boys loaded & hormonal & gang rape is really a sick pheonemena where men that in any other circumstance would not rape a woman do once the orchestrator gets it going. Studies have been done about it. Gang rape is really as close to animal & our primitive impulses as you can get. It's not human. That's why the show got so much success at the emmys as oltl was famously ignored by it. Anyway 94 esp during may sweeps was it's best allaround.
So many great moments here. I miss the old Dorian/Nora relationship. And Dorian going too far in her theatrics. Viki's facial expressions are hilarious.
After I posted my comment, they mentioned him briefly in Part 2. It wasn't much but still. They could technically resurrect Tony at anytime because from what I read, Tony's body was never found.
Maybe the authrorities closed the file on any suspicion of murder(which we all know on soaps that the ppl with clout that gets offed kidnapped, raped, etc. will be put in front of all investigations ahead of second class citizens. But all the same, it made for great drama, a great year, powerhouse acting, emmy nods and even wins. 2003 on the other hand with yet another victor surprise...I just went "oh LORD." Lol
@ThorneAstor I wish they'd mention him too. I think they don't because he doesn't really fit into any stories. Whereas Meredith can still represent a part of Viki's childhood and lost innocence, Tony came along much later and was only around a few years. They should bring in some kid of his though, or a new Tony and say Tony isn't dead.
I take it subsequent regimes long forgotten about Tony. As time went on there was no longer a research and continuity person on the soaps so certain histories with characters and events would be misrepresented or retconned or unacknowledged. While I can understand how some writers or showrunners want to make their own mark, they shouldn’t discount what came before.

These are great. I remember watching this story on the VCR after school while my mom cooked dinner.

Viki is a clown.
Why does nobody ever mention Tony?
ThorneAstor ok!!!
He was referenced several times during this storyline. Once in the Mausoleum scene with Viki and Dorian and another time in the court scenes.
I wonder if dorians testimony helped or hurt her usually nobody puts the defendant of murder on the stand.

In vikis testimony she mentioned tony. Are u talking about more regularly?
