Hajime was the best character here, Shigeru came back to his hometown to end everything but she came in and stopped that from happening, giving Shigeru new purpose and helping hik fulfill the promise he made to her all those years ago. Now they can be happy together and give Hajime's parents some grandchildren someday.
This made me cry like a baby.
What started out sad turned happy.
She really saved him for almost going down a dark path😢.
Hajime figured it out that he had come home to say goodbye to his parents, because he was planning to take his own life, just like her own father did. So Hajime wanted him to keep his promise of getting married to her so he would go on living. It was her love for him that saved him.
Hijime really saved Shigeru when he was at his lowest and was ready to toss everything away but she gave him a reason to live and it's sweet that he kept his promise to her 🥰 and I'm sure now his parents can look forward to their first grandchild. ☺️

ikr alot of people give up on life because they ain't got nothing to offer but you got plenty to offer you just have to put your mind to it and give it everything.and don't think about throwing it away do your best payback just a little to help a friend in need like shigeru did for kazu and mad kudos to hijime for helping him remember the fun times and yes so the parents can see there first grand child

He tried to make it up for it though, he paid all the money back so i guess he knew what he was doing was bad and he wanted to truly apologize to his friend, world is not as easy as it seems, Shigeru didnt have a chance to run away, but his friend after dumping the debt to him, chose to come back with the money and was even prepared to get a good beating, none of this compensates all the years Shigeru suffered trying to pay the debt, but it shows how much sincere he was when he apologized. The fact is that he couldve run but chose to not leave without repaying the money and apologizing, dark times makes people choose dark paths, even Shigeru was about to do something unforgivable to his parents but chose to not end everything at the end

I'm usually pretty critical of these manga dub stories for things like characters, the writing, and so on, but I actually can't really say anything about this story. None of the "My name is blah blah blah" at the start, there was actually an organic way of introducing the characters' names. The characters had personality and there was actual substance to them. 100% one of the best of these manga dub stories I've seen.
There are people who just being there. Can change someone’s life for the better. It’s nice to see, the old saying. A good woman can inspire a man to overcome any obstacles in life, and keep that promise. 😂

Story Idea:
An adult woman (FMC) receives a wedding invitation from her childhood friend and her first love(MMC) who she hasn’t heard from since high school. The reason why they cut contact was that she was a tsundere that teased yet loved him, but he finally had enough and stopped talking to her. She tried to talk to him but he always ignored her like she didn’t exist. He then left to a university far from her and now she learns that he’s getting married. After the wedding, she goes home heartbroken that because of her attitude she lost her first love. When she falls asleep she wakes up back in her high school days, before he cut contact with her. Taking an advantage of this event she vows to change her attitude to become a better person and to not lose her first love again.

Great story but I’m really curious as to why the girl somehow always remembers the guy from her childhood or a promise they made like 10 years ago and the guy completely forgets about the girl from his childhood or the promise they made. Do the writers give the girl excellent photographic and event memories and give the guy poor photographic and event memories or is that girls have better memories than guys
That part did frustrate me, it’s not that hard to remember someone especially the promise.
I can accept the memory thing in this one, he was so depressed that he wanted to end things, depression has been proven to cause poor memory and learning capabilities so its is a plausible thing that he was so depressed that all of those memories were locked away only to be triggered by her reminding him
