Let's get this out of the way for the Pro's that will be in the comment section... You could have still made the turn, you go where you look, don't make the choice to go down... blah blah blah.
Next time, come up a little out of the lean a little and just run off into the grass. I had a guy check me in the corner of 10 at Summit Main years ago and I had to take it into the grass and just run it out vs. locking the front tire and potentially having an even more unfun experience.

Putting sliders on your motorcycle may save it on a low side crash but if they catch they can cause bike to flip in air destroying you bike.

If I can remember, the gloves were the Alpinestars SP versions, its one of those. and I did grab the brakes way too much and caused me to low side 👍

It’s not that you were going to fast you just lost Focus momentarily. Riding a bike on edge takes 100% concentration

Not local but its my favorite track 🙌 My advice, learn the lines really well. You can be the fastest rider at a track session but if your lines arent crisp, you’ll be in the dirt in no time. Both tracks at NJMP are fast but sometimes you need to take a step back and see how to get around some turns. Hope to see you out there next year! 👍

What happened is....I wasn't riding my ride lol I was chasing some fast riders and pushed over my limits causing myself to low side into a turn. Just went too fast into the turn.

Glad you are ok. As soon as I noticed that you were trying to catch up to the other guys, I knew it was inevitable. On track days, I try to just go my pace and don't trip up when guys go faster.

You should feel lucky that you crashed on track but not public road, brother. Just repair the bike and get back on track, making mistakes make you drive better.

Definitely had the wrong gloves on guys, you both are right 👍 at the time, I had already bought the track Alpinestars gloves which were still coming in but obviously it didnt come in time 😪

Will definitely be getting Pirellis this season but it wasnt entirely the tire that caused the issue, it was really me 🥲

you entered the turn at 84mph!!!! way too fast! they all have powerful motorcyles and supersports have good breaks and powerful engines 200hp! yours is only 125hp and not great breaks. you pushed too hard all the way to the turn!!! they pushed faster reached peak 160mph earlier passed you and immediately started to slow down. at the turn they probably entered it at 70mph 60mph and their supersport can lean better and go through the turn. you went too wide all the way into the corner. you must be close to the center of the turn! you need to practice the technique at slower speeds until you know how to approach a turn! I also have a z900 2022 and it is my first motorcycle and I watch a lot of vids and learn but I never tracked and I would probably not take risk and try to develop the technique/skill first before I go full throttle. lol
