Alveary makes multi-age homeschool convenient because all students are studying the same time period so it's easy to combine history readings, say, for students in nearby grades. And courses like music, handicrafts, picture study, and others are already designed to be done all together!
@CMI_Alveary thank you for responding. And what about religious studies? We are Muslim. Actually a lot of Muslim homeschoolers love CM because of her holistic style and emphasis on religion but some curriculums revolve their history around biblical studies or understanding. Often times it's easy for me to just mix it up to our scripture but I do get concerned about it being so entwined that it's hard to maneuver.
@@chelseyummali Thanks for the question! Following Mason, our curriculum is rooted in the Christian faith and includes Bible lessons, etc. However, we do have Muslim members who adjust Alveary for their families and have enjoyed it. I'd recommend watching some of our Book Previews on UA-cam and exploring our sample page if you haven't already to see if you think it would fit your family well! ua-cam.com/play/PLvg0fKfOahKRNZVXHDeJNvsz7oxLLcB8J.html and www.alveary.org/the-program
@CMI_Alveary thank you. Yes def I understand that. I have only taken a quick look at some of the samples online. We do follow CM and have had an easy time adjusting what we do over to our faith. Most often just switch out Bible for Quran etc. It's easy enough. But this is when we've had control over our own curriculum. I assume I'd simply apply the same concept.
I picked this video to get a quick overview of what is alveary and this is not it. It would be helpful to have 1 video that gives an overview of what you actually get from the alveary. An example of what you receive as a mother, a time table, a lesson plan, something more like a demonstration. I have watched 3 introductory videos from your channel and I still don't know what the lesson plan looks like.
Thank you for your feedback! Have you seen the samples on this page? www.alveary.org/the-program. You might especially enjoy this free term of composer study lesson plans as well. www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/29lj85yxrfa4fqxonejpf/Menotti-Jazz.pdf?rlkey=l54bs7sgmbdij9gm434pdpmba&dl=0
What would you recommend for families with multiple grades and not enough time to teach multiple seperate curriculums?
