I was at the capital theater in Passaic NJ seen that concert. Very lucky to see the Scorpions open for 🌈 then Rainbow. The black and white footage is in NJ.

This was absolutely brilliant in every respect. Not as good as stargazer of course, nothing can match it but incredibly this track comes very close with vocals, guitar and drums as well as keyboards. The overall album while very good can't match rainbow rising but this track is absolutely phenomenal.

Мне кажется,тот единственный концерт с Бонанном был самым драйвовым- классикой настоящего хард- рока. Ни в коей мере не умаляю Дио и его вклад в Rainbow,но этот концерт ,мне кажется записан на одном ,хард- роковом дыхании. Ну ,а солист - просто мега супер!!! супер!!!!!

Особенно сразу после сбивки интро и рояль посреди вещи. Там мурашки особо крупные.
Почему все альбомы Rainbow записаны так плохо , особенно 77 , этот 79 тоже плохо , 75 ещё более менее можно слушать , 81 , 82 , 83 так на троечку , кто знает почему , здесь альбомная версия , качество ужасающее !

"Глаза/Очи (кому как ближе) Мира"! Ослепительная вещь от одного из сильнейших составов Рэйнбоу! Жаль что Ричи так быстро расстался с мощнейшим и очень красивым вокалом Грэма Боннета. Он просто красавчик! Эту вещь можно слушать раз за разом и она никогда не надоест.

Nobody said that Roger Glover was (and still is) an excellent song writer. He has replaced Ronnie James Dio in the difficult task to collaborate with the man in black.

Graham Bonnet had (and still have) a great set of pipes. Ritchie knew how to choose a singer.

You might not think Graham bonnet is great after listening the 'Live Alcatraz album' 1984 I believe? Although yngwie malmsteen plays better on that recording then he does now. You'd think Alcatraz released the live album for yngwie's guitar shredding I mean it's from 1984 whatever but his attack and feel is pretty cool. Graham bonnet sounds like he partied too much the night before , it's not that bad just little off cause he is great singer. I haven heard in years.

The only album of Graham bonnet, but this album is a masterpiece of rock. All rainbow albums are masterpieces. Vocalists masters of rock. Ronnie James dio, Graham bonnet, Joe Lynn Turner. Just love this band since I was only 10 years old, listening to the masters up until now. Such a great rock band, rainbow. Vincent la Valletta malta.

I remember seeing this tour at I believe the forum in los angeles. I don't know why but the opening just hit me. When Cozy comes in with the drums and the lights and pyro all hit at the same time just blew me away. I would love to see the whole show.

I remember watching them in Wintertur, Switzerland, Feb 10, 1980. Unforgetable opening with "eyes of the world". I spoke to Don after a Deep Purple gig and he said "great band"about that time. I spoke to Grahan many times and he simply "didn't remember many gigs because he was drunk".

joelombrdo yes, I do remember since I took many pics on his side. He's taller than me, he's about 1,60 to 1,65m tall.
That's only about 5' 4" tall. About the same height as Dio. !!!

No, it is a wide known fact that Dio was 5" 4" tall. One time John Bonham said in front of Dio after a Black Sabbath concert "That dwarf can really sing" and then Dio lunged at him and had to be restrained.

I love this song and the whole album "Down to Earth". But it is a fact, that the look of Graham Bonnet with poloshirt, jacket and popper-haircut did not fit to "Rainbow", but his voice did for sure.

Боннем сильный певец. На записи это просто хард рок и сверху трактор. Но я слышал его и живьем. Может он постарел, но на сцене он не тянет свои же партии и не очень элегантно выворачивает ноты из неловких ситуаций. Как тот же Фредди, например. Если Грэм и в пожилом возрасте не очень рулит голосом на сцене, то так же было и во времена Рэйнбоу. Осмелюсь предположить, что именно по этой причине Ричи сменил его на Джо. При прочих равных в студии, Джо отлично тащил живую работу.
Всегда считал его вокальные партии весьма изысканными и сложноватыми.Поэтому ему трудно их повторить живьем,когда не всегда и самого себя можешь услышать в грохоте.Даже сейчас-в 72 года-он на грани срыва пытается петь.Посмотрите На Гиллана-тот уже лет 30 как минимум не поет,а рассказывает свои песни.Как только я вижу,как Гиллан начинает петь-у меня сердце начинает болеть-я понимаю,как ему трудно рассказывать в 75 лет,что он Звезда Автострады.Я понимаю-легенды,динозавры,трудно,возраст,но тем не менее ,всегда найдутся люди готовые заплатить за билет и стоять смотреть как старички-евокалисты корчатся уже от боли.
