Different languages are being used in different manners. Singers have their own styles. Coach Rozette is gradually understanding this well. Hopefully, it will not be needed to stress too much on the differences in future. It is more difficult for a Western singer to sing a Chinese song than the other way.
I would say the same! I bet she would not be able to pronounce the cantonese words right while keep her idealistic ‘legato’ way to sing…. I think it’s hard for her to fully understand how beautiful some Cantonese songs are and how hard it is to sing properly without changing some pronunciation!!

I do believe that it's not the culture diference between east and west, cuz in Chinese Cantonese pop we could hardly find anyone else mainly doing it. For the debate in the beginning, my take is that Cantonese pop music inherits the tradition of Canto opera, which has a huge emphasis on 字正腔圓. You really want each word of the lyrics to pop. The audience is supposed to know every word just by listening to a song. That chunky way of singing is more emotive AND it also serves to help the audience to understand the lyrics thus the meaning of the song very easily. From my observation, that piece is not stressed in English songs.

It’s Jackie’s signature style, and technique, and audiences recognize his voice with these techniques. He doesn’t have to conform to other people’s standards. Rozette should get over it. You don’t have to like it, it’s a style - like dancing style, some people have lighter gait/jumps, some people are smoother in their moves. If everybody sings with the same style, there is no need to give any feedback at all.

我覺得老師認為的推拉感是因為中文字是方塊字，每個字都有獨立的音，不同音可能就變成不同的字，影響聽者對於歌詞的理解。這首歌剛開始張學友將每個字做斷點，作為華語為母語者聽起來會有種惆悵、喃喃自語的感覺，再加上歌詞的發音也會造成聽起來有推拉感。
但英文或是字母拼音為母語的聽者，會以為一個英文單字為什麼要拆成一個字母一個字母唱，再加上英文字是拼音文字，因此只要字母拼起來一樣，即使轉換音調，對於歌詞的理解也影響不大，就像老師示範的「以為愛」，聽起來會變成「依偎矮。」
正確，以為愛，中文的意思正確應該是「以為」愛，愛是受詞，分開更能凸顯句子的意思。

其實關於那個虹的唱法，是由於老派歌手，也成為古早歌手的唱法，叫做大滑音，港臺早期歌手普遍都會有，也許源於他們都有日本文化，翻唱一堆日文歌曲的影響，演歌式的唱法！
真的蠻喜歡這個老師，他有什麼話講什麼話，我看過他那麼多影片他對Beyond感到興趣，對楊丞琳的批評，對五月天的批評，對那英的搖頭，講真的啦，或許我個人不喜歡五月天，那英還有楊丞琳吧，他講了五月天唱這樣怎麼可以活到現在，我也在想同樣的問題😂

五月天是如何活到現在？記得我大學同學們對五月天的瘋狂，去討論一些已經經過市場驗證的成功歌手唱功如何，其實沒多大意義，twins唱功如何？這不用討論，但無礙她們的成功，就是唱出該有的感覺，而且無法替代。
想跟老師們分享：
1. 「以為愛」那句，可能是因為「愛」字，想強調語氣，讓字義影響了唱法。
2. 撕裂音搭配「哪怕喊破喉嚨」，但有時候他會真的唱破音😂(有聽過）
3. 我覺得近年張學友在演唱會的唱法、呈現方式跟過去相去甚遠，而且他應該有意為之。或許可以同一首歌比對，會加速老師對他的認識。

其實很重要的事情是，東方歌曲的唱法，曲調轉換跟歌曲口氣是跟隨文字念法跟抑揚揚頓挫的，所以張學友的唱法狀態，或是那種推拉感會特別重。就像日文歌會有日文歌的那種推拉。英文歌曲來說，真的有那個推拉感，反而是不洽當且不和諧的。這通常就是文化文字與法的問題。
如果老師知道學友哥為了他最愛的唱歌，是如何自律及不斷精進自己的歌唱方式，就能夠明白為何他的歌聲能夠隨著年齡的增長反而更加迷人了！（特別是在看完陶喆那段影片後更有感了）
學友除了是歌神之外，還是一個影帝，所以老師最後說他像演員是真的，今次這首歌學友整個演出是完全配合歌詞，不論發音和支體語言
是的，这个我也想说，学友每每演绎一首歌。都会看到他把自己的情绪切换到对等的频道，这种就是真专业艺术家的级别。记得之前看过另外一个频道评论张学友的某一曲，在不认识他且无法理解歌词的情况下单凭音乐及演绎来理解歌曲内容，居然能说出个大概出来，那一下我突然理解到什么叫音乐无国界，而且也感叹张学友的造诣
影帝？？學友從未在香港電影金像獎獲得最佳男主角，佢嘅演技有排都追唔上，最叻都係印度國際電影節攞過。係啲歌商業味重而令佢走紅，其實好多人都唱得好過佢，佢鼻音太重。

認同老師的觀點，其實華語歌壇可以不必再有人用這種風格唱歌，太多了，就會過度油膩，而張學友這樣唱從很早開始，且也是他獨一無二的特色，我們只需要一個張學友。

本质上在中国的流行歌曲演唱方式都是从西方传过来的，所以没有什么所谓的鉴赏风格和文化不同之说，也没有什么所谓”中国人喜欢这种唱腔“。事实就是张学友在演绎这首歌的时候已经老了，声带松了气不足了，才会唱成现在这副样子。不用喷我，我是他的歌迷，我只是不希望他现在这种状态还硬撑着活跃在舞台上，去听听他年轻一点时候的歌声完全不是这样的！

You don’t have to like it, it’s a style - like dancing style, some people have lighter gait/jumps, some people are smoother in their moves. If everybody sings with the same style, there is no need to give any feedback at all.

He is my idol when I was a kid. I remember he went to New York to learn how to sing when he was young. He had his own musical drama, but I haven’t chance to listen and watch. I feel bad for that. Anyway, he is one of my favorite singers.
我觉得听歌是一种很简单以及很享受的事，若是喜欢听那首歌曲就直接听下去；不喜欢听就跳过吧！根本不需要加于多层次的想法和解释，因为这样只会把听歌的乐趣给复杂化了。

記得有看過某篇文章說過本來張學友本來臉部共鳴是沒那麼誇張的，那是源自於他在成名之後的某段時間開始，他有鼻竇炎的問題，導致他一直鼻塞流鼻水，嚴重影響他唱歌，結果就只好改這方式
今集的理解和反思很好。問題是所有觀感皆是色蘊、受蘊、想藴和我執的作用。
覺得要理解前面討論那一段中式唱法的差異，可以朗誦古詩給Rozette老師聽聽，尤其是將進酒或滿江紅，更能反映中文的特性

Whether a song will be popular often depends on not only the melody and the singer’s timbre being nice, but also the lyrics need to be sung clearly and the content of the song needs to be resonant, so that it will be liked by more people. Therefore, many pop singers who debuted in Hong Kong in the 1980s and 1990s also have a corresponding style when singing each song. If you interpret the song emotionally, it will be difficult to sing every word of the lyrics coherently. Sometimes if you sing like that, the atmosphere expressed by the lyrics will be different.
But since 2000, more and more Canton pop new singers will not sing the lyrics clearly, which is Not popular with music fans of my generation. 😅
