Shame on Maytag for producing such a defective part! I thought I was buying a quality dishwasher, only to have this soap door break a few months later. And I warn you, don't go to all the trouble and expense to replace it! It will break again right away! Shame on Maytag! You produce a bad part, then continue to sell the same bad part years later! Why don't you fix what is wrong with it and then sell us a working replacement? Go ahead, read up on this problem. EVERYONE is having the same trouble. Just replacing it is hard enough, and it's expensive, AND it will rapidly break again! There should be a law against predatory sales like this. I'm voting with my pocketbook... NO MORE Maytag!
Lol, mine is 8 years old. Still not sure if that's what's failed, but if so it took 8 years, so I'll install another one. Sorry about your luck but those are some huge assumptions in your comment.

Your luck is not typical. This is a defective part, read all the complaints. And the replacement parts break just as fast. Shame on Maytag!
