Beautiful recipe looks delicious and mouthwatering 🤤🤤
Fancy making an episode on Babi Pangang !
Lekker hoor!!!
Lekker hoor eet smakelijk 👍👍👏👏👏
Dankjewel
So is the rinsing chicken thing from the Netherlands or the US? I’ve never seen that done before and after googling it I see it’s quite controversial. Surely just cook it?
I don’t rinse chicken normally. But since this was rubbed with lemon juice and salt, which helps to tenderize, I rinse to get that off the chicken, since I don’t want to cook the lemon “into” the chicken.
@@ToinesKitchen ahh I see. I didn’t know that. Thanks.
Rinsing chicken is Indonesian thing. Your welcome (we have dirty chicken)
Hi Toine, I appreciate the video and recipe for Ayam Goreng, but I’m concerned about the high sodium level.
The nutritional information states it has 3182 mg, which is 138 % of the suggested daily requirement.
Would omitting the salt listed in the recipe bring this down significantly?
3182 mg of sodium is a lot, is this all from the added table salt?
Any insights? Thanks.
The nutritional information is automatically calculated. So all of the marinade ingredients are used in the calculation. But not all of the marinade ingredients end up in the chicken.
I can see if I can figure out how to change it.
Thanks. Just surprised by the nutrition facts, and concerned about high sodium in our diets.
I appreciate the reply.
Great videos, always!
I figured it out... the calculation used sliced deli chicken, rather than whole chicken. I have fixed that on my website!
Don't use chicken broth, but use coconut water.
I will have to give that a try... I've been using chicken broth for quite a while, always open to try new versions of the recipe!
@@ToinesKitchen using coconut water is the traditional Javanese way. It makes the chicken meat sweet naturally.
@@ToinesKitchen You can add rice flour to the left over liquid used to boul the chixken, then fry that liquid in a very hot oil. It will become a very delightful thing. Look in UA-cam, Kremes .
