Hi Mel. Thank you for sharing your horse riding story. I, too, am interested in hearing about the techniques you've used as a rider to compensate for your lack of vision. I haven't ridden a horse in over two decades; but when I did, I always followed someone and the rides were pretty straightforward and simple on trails. I don't think I'll ever pursue riding regularly, but I'd love to have some opportunities to ride again one day. I just need more time... or maybe a couple of clones who can work while I go and do fun things. Hee hee.
Thanks for sharing your storry. I am taking riding lessons since I was very young, but like you when I got to my upper high school years due to be travel time to get to my stable expense. I had to stop. I do hope to get back into writing though and I would be interested if you could make a video and some of the techniques you used to compensate for your vision loss for writing. I am visually impaired and I’m always looking for new ways to adapt working with and caring for the horses.
