- Based on Bohumil Hrabal's novella, this is the short we created with the help of Handmade Puppet Dreams, Heather Henson, and The Jane Henson Foundation in 2007. Adapted by Alex MacInnis. Shot by Isidore Mankofsky. Paul Giamatti as Hanta. Feature has been in various stages of development and stasis since then, but is moving forward again. Stay tuned!

Thank you so much for your comment! Hrabal's work persists in reminding us of the things at our fingertips that are the true treasures in life, the "flood of sparkling experience." We are losing it so rapidly in the age of tech and AI. The story feels more relevant than ever. We are working on the feature and hope to bring it to life soon.

Genuinely beautiful and artistic puppetry short films like this deserve more recognition, and it’s so important that they’re accessible in these types of video formats. And even if we have to wait a while for the feature film version of Too Loud a Solitude, I’m so happy I’ll be able to watch the short film. Anyway, absolutely amazing work!

Finally, someone who shares a mindset with me! Short film is a boon to humanity, animated short films in particular. There are short animations out there that produce such a striking, baffling effect on me that i cry every time. Short film is important and vital, awareness of this medium must be raised worldwide because animated shorts are beautfil and mesmerizing! Take Pixar's 'Lava' and 'Bao' for example - marvelous I say! Would love to learn more

@@ArctaProductions "I Have Fought Against It But I Can't Any Longer" has an outro called "Ten Times a Day, Every Day a Stranger" and it contains a reading of an excerpt from this story
