If you have a high spin rate, wouldn't the sinker actually not be an ideal pitch for you. A high backspin rate causes the ball to 'rise' which is counterproductive for a sinker. High spin rate guy should usually focus on 4-seam that rides and then a sharp breaking ball. Low spin rate guys are usually sinker and changeups pitchers because of that 'heavy' feeling.
