    I definitely relate to running the looper in order to continuously adjust the settings without having to switch back and forth between playing and tweaking, Jared. If I had any personal affiliation with looper systems, I would do it too.
    It’s January 2024 as I comment. I’m thinking of making Core my next modeling unit. I might try takin a leaf out of your book and running the looper if I get one and make my way around to programming my own patches on it.
    P. S. You did everything here using the front panel. How different would it be going through the same process with the software?

      I use recording/line. And I have a stereo jack which splits to 2xMono Jacks and I use headphones out. If going long distance I'd add 2xDI boxes but I don't, my mixer is on stage with me.

    Hi Jared, thanks for your videos they've been really helpful. I'm cleary a moron as i'm struggling with my GT-1000core. I've created a patch, put it in a new liveset and eported the liveset to the GT-1000core but how do i actually find and use my liveserts via the actual pedal when i'm out and about without my laptop. I'm scolling through the menu theres nothing (that i've found) about livesets anywhere, going crazy! The user manual doesnt explain any of this frustratingly. Also i could dowith help learning how to assign the thre footswitches to enage/diengage stompboxes in my patch? Again i can't find any instrcutions from boss on how to do this, is this ino anywhere if you can point me in the right direction? I don't understand how someone new to this unit is supposed to work this out! Thank you.

      @@johnycat7373 so you can’t save a group of presets into a set list to select for a gig etc, you just have to create one in one of the 100’s of the slots and order them in a way that’s useful. I never got to the bottom of the foot switches either. I’ve sold the unit now, it’s an amazing bit of kit but I did t use it enough to justify having it and tbh I could do with something a bit simpler personally.

    Hey Jared. Happy Thanksgiving! Im liking the way your setting up your patches for each song, ie. intro, verse, lead, verse, lead,outro, etc. What I would like to do is use existing patches, rename them so that they are named the song title I am doing (covers) so I can scroll from one song to the next in my set. Can I rename the preset patches I need to the song name without changing the same renamed patch used on other songs? Im a bit confused in what will happen, because I heard you mention, to be careful (somewhere I saw it) as it may change all the same patches being used on other songs. Example: I may use "Clean Ambient" patch renamed to "Rain Song", and its distortions, etc, and then use that same "Clean Ambient" patch renamed to "Is it love" on another song in my set. Do you see any caveats to this way of renaming patches to song names in my sets? Concerns, warnings? Thanks in advance

    • @JaredGunstonTV
      @JaredGunstonTV  3 роки тому

      Thanks man!! U can copy I think where I mention be careful is where I set my amplifiers for clean, od and drive and solo as 4xstomp boxes so when I copy and rename new songs if I make an adjustment on one of the amps it applies down the whole device to any other patches with that same stompbox engaged.

    ok I got another one for you brotha. I use a chain of robin trower effects. Wahfull, trower distortion, fulltone fat boost, deja vibe, and my fulltone wah cause I absolutely love that tone. Looking for advice on how I would use that chain of pedals and run it into the gt1000 core. Can I use a full chain including wah, into one of the effects loops? My thinking is to run a full chain into the effects loop, and then use that effects loop in a clean patch? Am I even close man? I dont know if I should use the fulltone wah in one effects loop, and the trower pedal chain in another effects loop. Im simply trying to get the cleanest version of my sound in a patch that will not mess with the tone I get through the chain and wah. Let me know if im not making sense.

    • @JaredGunstonTV
      @JaredGunstonTV  3 роки тому +1

      Hi man! Tricky one to answer, how would you run those pedals into an amp, before the input or into FX loop. Nothing stopping you from running them into front end of GT or through an fz chain, FX chain is actually rad cause then u could set you guitar input correctly on input of GT and from GT into those pedals.

    • @MontyDeane
      @MontyDeane 3 роки тому

      @@JaredGunstonTV Thanks brotha. I think after all the debate, the obvious hassle of carrying the stuff around, and the awesome tones generated by the core, I am going to scratch the trower pedals. I suck at programming these things via GT so gonna look around for a good trower patch. Core has the classic vibe I can use. Sure will help free up much of the crap to carry. Guys can someone help please. I have only started out with electric guitar a year ago (been playing guitar for years,just not electric). I don't know much about amps and stuff,only just started researching. I only got a Roland cube 20gx modelling amp which I bought 2nd hand a year ago. What kind of output do I need to use this boss GT 1000 core. Other than sending it straight to a PA. Say I wanna practice at home (I am not talking about headphones which is one option,cool). Do I get just a self amplified speaker? What is the best option so that I can carry with me for a small gig as well. These modellers are made with the intention to send their output to what in order to get the best out of them (without affecting it). Thanks for any answer,I know this is not the right place to ask but because I am getting one of those I thought to ask here.

    Ok so I’m new-ish to Digital effects Modelers etc… so I apologize for sounding dumb.
    So …. With that setting you did with the Control 1 switch where, you can switch between the divided amp signal path (Clean/Dirty) do the rest of the effects remain switched on when you switch from Clean to Dirty?
    Is it possible to keep on a tremolo effect for example with the clean signal and have it switched off with the dirty? And can that be done with FS1 and FS2?
    Apologies in advance if this is common sense. My brain hurts just listening to the info on this effects unit

    • @Techo1329
      @Techo1329 2 роки тому

      Mate, with the divider split into 2 chains (A and B), when you switch to B you bypass everything on the A line and vice versa, even though they remain on. So if you have an effect you only want on the A line, just position that effect block on the A line, then you don't need another switch as when you kick to the B line (dirty) the A line blocks are no longer in the active chain.

    Jared, could you elaborate on what you're looking for as far as "horrible frequencies" are concerned? Thanks

    • @JaredGunstonTV
      @JaredGunstonTV  3 роки тому +3

      "Horrible Frequencies" haha! ie that hurt your ears. For example, boost 2 or 4k at 12dB, that's a HORRIBLE sound. Or try 160, 300ish, and 500/800 specific frequencies will be louder then others when boosted at the same DB, your ears will tell you which ones you can live with and which ones you wanna have gone completly. And here's an idea: if you wanna subtely remove a frequency try -1 or -2dB at a lower "Q" or say 4 or 2 (this widens the frequencies affected), and if you wanna surgically remove a really harsh frequncy like 500, try a 16 "Q" at -5Db... again all at your own descretion. But your ears will guide you. And a final TIP, don't go made on the low and high cut frequencies, be gentle with them and have them as a safeguard should in a life environment you need a little less bass or top end... I personally recommend on the low side start at 80Hz and don't go about 120Hz. and for high end cab "realism" 6.3kHz.
