Yeah, I'm down to the wire, too. Been a very busy month and the weather has kept me from rattle canning outside. I'm hoping that I can get some more done the next couple of weeks as I don't think it'll be as busy as the others. Truck is looking great!
WOW what a nice looking truck your going to have love the way its going looking forward to seeing it all done thanks for the update keep pushing your doing a nice job
I had a 1954 f100. I sold it before the restoration was finished. I have big regrets but I am going to also do a replica of the truck as I was picturing the finish. Thanks for sharing and giving me the inspiration to pull the kit out. Looking forward to more videos 😊
Those decals are from the '57 Ford Hardtop kit. If you picked this kit up in the late eighties/early nineties, it was likely the white box with the blue build on it. As far as the potential 1/24 vs. 1/25 scale size discrepancies go, you're well aware how Monogram tended to be quite generous when it came to scaling those . Sit a 1/24 scale Monogram '70 Roadrunner or '70 Chevelle next to its AMT 1/25 scale counterpart and you'll see that the Monogram offerings ate their Wheaties this morning. And the box! So the 1/25 scale wheels working with 1/24 tires is par for the course - not to mention the best kind of happy accident! Best of luck with the USACC build! I'm trying to cross the T's and dot the I's on mine, but because I'm rife with indecision and have an inability to let well enough alone, I may or may not have my hands full with multiple iterations of the kit in various states of experimentation/construction. One of these days I might actually finish a build!
The old AMT '49 Merc had wheels like those but I really liked the 413 Max Wedge option. I built the Revell '56 kit and it's good enough for my standards.
Those tires were originally from Monogram in several of their 1/24 scale street kits. They are the right scale for the USACC 55 Ford group build and they fill up the wheel wells a lot better than the actual kit tires do. Good luck with the project and Happy New Year.
might have something in come, love to get an idea; search for the parts, get maybe 90 percent done ,then i jump the fence to something else, i dont remeber the last kit i finished completly, i have close to 600 kits and most of them are 50s-to 80s. from stockers up to top fuel, drool over your back ground shots, i started with the mpc pro serise kits then started going the track, i would get home and biuld a race car,
The Trans Ams from the TV show "Knight Rider" came from a train derailment. I wonder if the Camaro you referred to was the same one? Your build looks great. I love anything with steelies and caps!
Awesome suspension work. I think the bumpers would look better chrome. The rims look good btw, no offense but there are a lot of A holes in your fb group. Dont listen to them, your builds are interesting and unique.
I lowerd mine with all the kit parts.its alot of work I zed the front frame to tuck it low. I scratched the paint .so I boxed it.i can email the picks .I also used the same frame under a 48 ford car.lowed what's your email I'll send picks

The stance is looking good. Nice engine choice. The decal sheet is from the AMT 57 Ford H/T. I have that sheet in kit # 31838

Thanks 👍
Pretty sure that decal is from the ‘57 Ford.
Happy New Year my friend, you better get busy LOL
Thank you. You got that right!
Nice 😅
If thats the train wreck I think it is, some of the cars used in the Knight Rider TV show came from the same wreck.
Might have. It's the same time frame.
The train wreck for knight rider happened in 1983
Awesome suspension work. I think the bumpers would look better chrome. The rims look good btw, no offense but there are a lot of A holes in your fb group. Dont listen to them, your builds are interesting and unique.
😆 There are 61k people on that group. So YES. LOTS of A Holes are on there. 😆
