This definitely has its use cases, like search and rescue (as you mentioned). Or if you're in an island where supply of electricity is not stable. Where I live, there's always the threat of earthquakes and volcano eruptions, so this will make a great emergency light. But definitely not for everyday use because it's so heavy.

OMG...that is one huge single cell! I don't think Wurkkos or Sofirn makes a "38121" format LiFePo4 battery! 🔦😳

I think Cyansky purposely made this flashlight to use one 3.2v LiFePo4 for safety reasons. Technically this flashlight could also be designed to run on 3 x 21700 cells with 5000 mAh each, but all those batteries must have uniform capacities and current and voltages. It's difficult to ensure that all three cells have the same properties, therefore having one huge 15Ah cell to power the flashlight is the much safer solution.
