Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi visited the Syrian capital Damascus a day after visiting Beirut amid an Israeli ground invasion in south Lebanon. According to the Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson, Araghchi will meet Syrian officials to discuss regional developments and bilateral relations. The Iranian FM's visit to the Putin-ally nation came days after Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin visited Tehran to meet Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkain on September 30. A day later, Iran launched 180 missiles and drones at Israel on October 1.
