I think this is THE BEST New Directions performance. It's just so powerful, emotional, funny, all mixed in one. Everyone shone so bright here and the way Finn led this is just chef's kiss.

I remember crying when I first saw this! It was his glory.
This episode had some of the best vocals for a lot of characters.
Having seen the full reaction, I would say that he was meant to outshine her here. She had her whole crowning glory moment in Its All Coming Back to Me Now, which offers us some of her best vocals of the show. I won’t spoil it, but I think it was definitely a redemption for him after what happens at the end of s2.

Yes Finn did such a great job of Jessie's Girl that when Stevie Nicks (yes from Fleetwood Mac) was on the set, she said it was Cory's performance of Jessie's Girl that hooked her on Glee!

This IS his best vocal ever in the show, hands down. This song was about everyone but he outshined all of them. He has a natural 80s rock rasp and grit voice that's why meatloaf songs are his thing. RIP to the legend cory monteith.
With Cory as Finn was so good he sings with a 80's Rock Musicals movies vibes kinda little bit of Grease with something like 2004-6ish touch of rock Glam i think Jessie's Girl and Paradise By The Dashboard are the Best songs choices that suit his voice

This is one of the best musical numbers Glee ever did, hands down. It's a perfect mix of rock and show choir, and it highlights a lot of their voices really well (especially Cory). I don't go back and listen to Glee songs very often but this is a classic.
This is the performance that wins Nationals for the Glee club, so it had to be really extraordinary!
They often wear red and black in these competition performances because they are the school colors.
One of my favorite covers from the show! It’s just so good and I love that other characters got little solos/duets in it as well.
Cory really had an amazing voice when it came to any rock style song on Glee.
FINALLY!.... I've been waiting for a reaction video of this performance. This is their best performance and his best vocals ever.

I have to point out one last thing. This is around the time Leah and Corey got together in real life. When he hits that incredible note at around 5:25ish she completely breaks character and I truly believe that’s all Leah Michelle when she kinda winks and points to him with such pride ❤️ It’s such a beautiful moment and I’m so happy it was captured.
Naya breaks character too, towards the beginning of the song when they’re lined up on the steps and she rests her head in Brittneys hands like a pillow. This performance is filled with adorable little moments

This performance really was epic, Cory was definitely a lot better at the more rock style songs. 👌 You've reacted to quite a few Finn and Rachel duets so far but Rachel has done so many amazing duets. My favourites are Time After Time by Rachel and Sam, A Thousand Miles by Rachel and Sam, I'll Never Fall In Love Again by Rachel and Sam, Barracuda by Rachel and Elliott (played by Adam Lambert), Suddenly Seymour by Rachel and Blaine, Brave by Rachel and Santana, Every Breath You Take by Rachel and Santana, Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead by Rachel and Kurt, Being Good by Rachel and Kurt, Popular by Rachel and Kurt, Flashdance What A Feeling by Rachel and Tina, Give Your Heart A Break by Rachel and Brody, I Just Can't Stop Loving You by Rachel and Finn, Next To Me by Rachel and Shelby (played by Idina Menzel) and You Are Woman I Am Man by Rachel and some random guy lol. All of those are FANTASTIC duets that I can't wait for you to react to! Also there's Just The Way You Are by Billy Joel that was sung by Rachel, Sam, Santana, Blaine and Kurt all together. That's a beautiful one. 😊

This is by far my fave Glee cover. I never get tired of watching it! It’s 100% Cory’s best performance and he absolutely nailed it. It makes me so sad to think that he’s not here to see so many people admire his incredible talent in this video. ❤️
Finn's/Cory's voice has so much energy when he sings rock songs, I love his voice in any song but rock classics are OUT OF THIS WORLD, I highly recommend you listen and react to more of himself!

I always loved Puck's and Finn's voice the most and I haven't heard anyone highlight them because they were in the shadow of the other fantastic singers, but those get enough spotlight so i'm glad to hear some praise on some other voices for a change ♥

This is the pinnacle of glee. Everything comes together deliciously after seasons of failures. Seeing all the journeys of Finchel, Brittana, and Klaine as they are singing in unison at the front of the stage, Cory Monteith’s real life growth as a singer, and what this moment in the show represents…this represents what glee is all about. It’s one of Finn’s best performances (where, like others have said, he outshines Rachel) and after all the seasons of characters telling him that he sucks, the real life audience is happy to see him have this great moment. (Maybe it’s amplified because his voice doesn’t sound super auto tuned, so we, as the viewer, know that this is a result of 3 years intense vocal training.) When he sings “But God only knows what I can do right now” you know he was feeling his oats! And his head bow at the end !!! Easily top three performances of glee. If not my favorite

About Finn, my favorite performance of all time, is Jessie's Girl.
I'd say that "Being Good Isn't Good Enough" and "Being Alive" would both amaze you, or you could compare the two versions of "I'm The Greatest Star", which both suggestions are Kurt and Rachel. They have such good voices and they make some really good solo songs.
You going on and on about Cory's vocal performance even BEFORE he has that big moment where he hits the high note just fills me with so much joy. He was such a gift to the world. And your reaction to that note was awesome!! I was looking forward to it!!
I really enjoy seeing your reaction videos! My first episode of Glee was Season 1 Sectionals and like you I thought it'd just be a group of people singing and nothing special. Hearing Lea Michele sing "Don't Rain on My Parade" was eye-opening for me! This particular video will always be a good memory...After I saw this performance I knew it was finally the year New Directions would win Nationals! Yes I know it's scripted, but it was great of the writers to reward long-time viewers with an incredible set of performances and marvel at how much they all grew as a group since season one. Like many others I felt this song was Cory's shining moment where he actually danced pretty well in addition to singing like a rock star! He gave this performance his all and I felt so happy for him that his hard work behind the scenes paid off wonderfully with an iconic performance.

This is one of my favourite competition songs! You should do Edge of Glory from this episode too! Also I’ve been binge listening to Gleek of the Week since you were on it and I love it! 😁
I'm excited for your reaction to this one! From Glee I would suggest you watch 'I Know Where I've Been'. Also I think you'd enjoy reacting to the group Home Free. They are the world's only country acapella group & they do both covers & originals. Also they have over 100 music videos out on youtube. Plus there are a bunch more from their lives shows that people have filmed. I wouldn't check out their cover of Mayday until you've been watching them for a while, cause it surprises you & it wont have them same impact if you watch it too soon, but some of my favs I would recommend include Summer in the Country, Diamond Dreams, Sea Shanty Medley, How Great Thou Art, Spaceship, Remember This, Some Girls Do, & almost any of their Christmas songs. They are a 5 man group, but with their stuff from on youtube you will see the baritone member change around mid 2016. The other 4 members have been the same for a long time.

Finally! This is what I’ve been waiting for lol. It’s one of my fave songs ever and they did such a great job with it and Finn/Cory got to shine. And he sang it so well while running all over the place.

These were the best vocals because the main characters were supposed to spin-off into a friends-like series after winning nationals. While the rest were to stay in high school until they graduated. But the spin-off was cancelled.
