Hey Mate! Are you still with this guitar? I´m considering buy one and your video helps a lot, wanna grab it very soon Btw thanks for the tips about oiling the scale too, awesome channel, sub! Cheers
Hello Douglas, thanks for commenting. I sold this guitar a couple of months ago, eight strings are definitely too much for me. Due to the lack of quality control and overall guitar feel, I would not buy this guitar again, as stated in the video. I would spend a little bit more money on any used quality guitar.
I have this guitar too and I've just gotta say, completely satisfied!! It sounds better than my other guitars. It's got a deeper/richer tone and it's pretty comfortable to play once you get used to the wider neck. going from this back to a 6-string makes the 6-string feel like a ukulele. lol
I like how they made the control routing big enough to easily convert to active pickups and put a battery in there. Seems intentional. Thanks for the review!

Hi, Ale. Good demo! I feel encouraged to get one of these to try an experiment. I think it might be possible to convert this into a 12 string double course drop octave, if I can find a bridge that could be modified. I play bass VI, and want a 12 string like the Burns Hank Marvin plays on the song, "On The Beach", from the Cliff Richard film, Wonderful Life. for some reason Burns quickly discontinued their drop octave version of the Double Six. I like a wide fretboard, and this might support the 12 strings with a new nut and bridge. I have a strong utilitarian streak, but The main problem I have is the look of the thing, and the pickups. My preference would be lipstick pickups. And I like a more vintage look, but for the price I could deal with it. Will definitely play it through a guitar cabinet. It would be for "low" guitar parts, not as the bass.
Hello! Thank you very much for your words. Wow converting this to a 12 string would be a big work! Definitely worth the risk, as this guitar is super affordable. Let us know how the project goes!
Its pretty rough out of the box. Frets are absolutely amateurishly polished. And the packaged strings will not do the job for the F# tuning. But its a great option to pick up an 8 string.
Do you think the body and neck are okay? I dont know if to buy this and upgrade or go for a Schecter omen8 and still upgrade it If the wood is equivalent to a 400€ 8 string then i will go for it
Hi, as I said in the video, I had a terrible experience, as the nut was wrong, the setup was non existent and the overall cleaning and craftsmanship was very poor. Maybe I was unlucky, but I suggest you to buy any used Jackson or Ibanez 8 string
Excellent review Ale \m/ Cheers !!!! Nice budget guitar, does it stay in tune??? I bought an Agile Septor 827 standard, and the Cepheus (passive) stock pickups sound very good in Archetype Abasi. Best Regards.
@@AleArzMusic yeah, those are good for mods, I'm planning to replace the stock pickups from a good friends from Guadalajara Mexico: Pastillas Nixh e Hijos Nixh custom pickups ua-cam.com/channels/lNwG-H-fRXBbGZObsgTy7g.htmlvideos
Bro,did the 10-74 strings fit well in that nut?Mine came with 09-65 and not sure if i have to adjust the holes in the nut.Just to mention i replaced the stock pickups with Fishman Fluence Tosin Abasi set.It turned out really good.
Hi man, yes the 10-74 set fits well, BUT as you can see in the QC section of the video, I had to re-file the slots because they put a standard nut on s FanFret neck! Now I've also put EMG 808s on and it sounds great
Thanks for this vid i love cheap guitars i just change the pick ups then enlarge the nuts to put much much heavier strings file the fret board and put in a killswitch and youd never believe its the same guitar im gonna set this up with 15 to 105 gauge tuned G#C#G#C#G#C#F#A#
@@AleArzMusic thanks mate! i just ordered one from Thomann not actually a 8string player but i like to challenge my self..and be inspired playing again.
Ciao Alessandro, grazie per il video. In generale cosa ne pensi?

using an M80M and going back to any other extended range guitar makes it feel like a kids toy lol.
Agreed. Thanks man
When I see an 8 string I immediately think about Doom.
Rip and tear until it is done!

Just got mine, HB 8 string, black. First multi scale.
Decided to go for B E A D G B E A. I don't want a bass and a guitar, I want an extended scale.
Awesome, glad you like yours.

I been playing 6 string for 15 years I'm really considering this for my first 8 string cause if I hate the extra strings I'm not in too deep
Thank you.
I just bought this i ordered better pick ups and im changing the string gauge to 15 to 105. It should be fun
Definitely will, it's a fun guitar
Great Video! I really want to try out one for myself! But next is a Schecter. I just love a transparent top more than the solid black tops. 😁
