Tuning: Drop C#
So here is the bass track from the previous Cigaro guitar cover. I've made the bass louder so you can hear it better.
To get a beefy bass tone I split the DI signal into two channels. One is for the low end and kept pretty clean with some heavy compression on it. Then there is a distorted track to give some bite and fuzz. For this I ran it through my usual guitar plugin chain and high passed it around 750 to 1khz or so then blended together. Again compressed to keep it nice and even.
Pretty straight forward on bass on the whole with nothing really difficult to note. Have fun learning!
Tab software used is Guitar Pro 6 - plan to upgrade to 7.5 at some point!

I can't hear any of the bass through my monitors. The drums, guitars, and treble in general is just way too high.I can hear rattling from the strings, butt it sounds extremely compressed with no mid range at all.
Yep... that sounds like system bass post 2003...
