heres also another tip: before u do flying hook then super, you can also throw a basic attack before super,and if u manage to hit the whole super, you can get infinite supers. hope this helped
I really think carl is better in brawl ball (also the other star power is better in everything exept bb) but ig for sd that is how you are supposed to play (also gears i suggest damage and gajet or shield) otherwise good guide underrated {saying this as a carl main}
I suggest using his second gadget that pulls you when you use your main attack and his star power that gives 20% shield while using his super and for his gear you can use shield because he is a brawler who needs to go near enemies while using super, it is a life saver and for the second gear you can use the speed boost or the one that gives you 15% attack up when u are half health,, extra gadget is okay but I am contented with 3. for his techniques you should master his pickaxe and maximize it using the wall (it is already explained in the vid). don't hesitate to use his super especially in crucial moments, your super gives you movement speed while using it,, don't wait for the enemies to go near you before using your super, you can use it to rush or dive the enemies and don't just use it in one direction try to use the zigzag technique it can help a lot to dodge the damage. use your super too to escape,, his super is easy to obtain. just remember your wall is your friend ☝🏻🤓
