  • What did we just buy? Check out our brand new 2023 John deere 1025r cab tractor with heat. This is an absolutely beautiful machine! Come along as we head over to our local Midwest Machinery Co. in Princeton where Mitch walks us through this yanmar diesel powered 25hp tractor. We had it setup with a strobe light, forks, 120r loader with John deere quick attach bucket and added option for running a heavy duty snow blower. This tractor will be used for moving lightly loaded pallets around home base, snow removal next season primarily sidewalks and tighter driveways, aeration, tilling and more. I couldn't get my trailer out of the backyard with all the snow we still have and it won't fit in the enclosed, so i drove it home. When I finally arrived back home I took my son for his first tractor ride around the block. I can't wait to put this baby to work. I have no issues with mine in the winter in Iowa even at below zero weather. You'll love it! Best tractor in the 1 series class.

@bladezllc I have an outlet timer and if it is going to be really cold I set it to come on 3 or 4 hours before I will need it. Thats all it takes and anything other than that is a waste of money. I have large row crop tractors too and same rule anything more than 4 hours is throwing away money on electricity.

I have a 1023e and I use it as a plow with a 60inch mower deck. I don't have a cab. Its cold when I plow but hey its wisconsin so I expect that. Plus I got a deal on a 2022 model with .3 hours now over 50hrs on. I will be getting more attachments this summer. Like a tiller, forks, and a box blade. I got the quick hitch on my so easy taking off the rear attachments

    • @bladezllc

Nice! Yeah, the quick hitch on the rear would be extremely nice. Thanks for the comment. The forks are a must have, I've already used mine a fair bit.

I have a 2023 1025R with the factory single-point hydraulic connection and the Heavy Duty 54 inch snow blower. The HD snow blower uses the European style front 3-point hitch, not the quick attach. This is the green style snow blower, not the yellow blower. In order to use the single point hydraulic connection my dealer installed a single point hydraulic coupler manifold on the front three point hitch lift cylinder hoses along with two pioneer style quick connects for the snow blower chute rotation hydraulic lines. This setup works well. I'm only mentioning this in case you want to add the single-point hydraulic kit and use the HD snow blower. The front three point hitch is a little more involved to put on so you will likely want to leave the mount on all year long. This unfortunately is not compatible with the brush guard unless you do some cutting on the brush guard. The front European style three point hitch also requires an additional $800 bracket if you decide to use it with a mid-mount mower. I know your dealer said to change the engine oil after 8 hours but I cannot find that guidance anywhere from John Deere. The maintenance schedule says to change the oil at 400 hours and an older parts lists pre-dating our model year says to change the oil filter every 200 hours or annually. I've heard other owner's talk about how John Deere changed the recommended hour requirements. I'm not sure which oil ships from the factory but John Deere does have a 10W-30 Break In oil and that recommends running at least 100 hours on that oil. Enjoy your new tractor!
