Hoseok album is a masterpiece. So to let you guys know on one of the songs on the album, it’s called “What If” Hobi sampled Ol Dirty Bastard “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” which was co written by ODB and RZA of Wu-Tang Clan. This whole album has full on 90’s hip hop vibes! Like the more you guys listen to this album the better it gets. Like yes we’re use to happy Hoseok but at the same time when I say this whole album screams JUNG HOSEOK and tells a story from point A to B. It’s beautiful and the way even though the album is short, he gets his messages across in such a uniquely beautiful way that keeps tuned in and starving for more from him!!! Each song conveys a specific meaning it’s just this album is brilliant honestly. Also to add into this fun fact “Jack in the box” is a type of House dance! If you guys didn’t know. I would also say if you guys want more on the album. I say you guys should watch JHOPE’s comeback vlive! He goes in depth in explaining the process of making this album come to life and his songs.
J-Hope is an artist and is setting the bar!!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the sample on "What If". I'm here for all the 90s hip-hop vibes! I was wondering why people were House Dancing to Beyonce at his listening party until I saw his v-live, and it all made sense. The album is reminiscent of energy that reminds me of Wu-Tang, the gritty vibe, and some people saying this is dark, but this is the Hoseok that makes Hobi who he is. His Lollapalooza performance is going to be bananas! HOSEOK TALK YOUR SHIT!!!!
Guys Arson's message is simple: hoseok: "The flame of passion I've been burning just to get to the top has grown out of control. Looking back, this is like an arson that I committed against myself."

I myself really grateful for this solos project of them. We might get to see their unapologetic self, unfiltered self that they have to suppressed while working as a group, BTS, cause you know working in a team we have to compromised our ego, ourself to fill in the group dynamics, in order for the group to function well and not fall apart with personal ego. So this is a really blessing for us to get them to do solo project. We can see how well they grew individually and how their experience as BTS shaped their artistry that they try to hide all this time. I'm so ready for all of their solo project

It totally gave me Cypress Hill Insane in the Membrane vibes lol. This is my fav song on the whole album. But honestly just the WHOLE thing is amazing. It’s very cool seeing this side of him behind all the BTS stuff and behind all the fame, ya know? And I love how he explained it all in the VLive. Also I laugh any time ANY of the BTS members cuss 😆 I react the same way you do still. I’m really excited to see all the HobiPalooza vids cuz I wanna see him pop off 🙌🏼🔥🔥 I especially love the part where it zooms into his heart and you see how it’s all burning with ash all over or whatever but it’s STILL beating. Like HE set fire to it all and lit it up. So he’s definitely an arsonist haha.
Thank you for making the Cyprus Hill association!! I have been listening asking myself what it reminds me of/what sounds he's leaning into. I can totally hear it. So cool 😎
There is so much to dissect that this would definitely take multiple watches and listens to really understand what he is trying to convey. What I really love about this whole release (theories aside) is that everyone always talks about Sunshine Hobi, the one who brings light and joy to BTS and ARMY, but with this, he is showing us that dark part of him that he never really talks about as Jung Hoseok. We hear about dark things through J-Hope of BTS, but not Jung Hoseok. It's so interesting and refreshing in a sense to see the member depicted as "sunshine" reveal the darkness and struggles he faces as a person in the industry. It just goes to show haters that what he puts up isn't a facade. There are just many parts to him like everyone else. It also gives ARMY an opportunity to learn more about Hoseok, the emotions he has faced, and what he has been through underneath the smiles.
I’m thinking, we all was in his DAYDREAM including him but now that jhope has woken up, this is what reality is. He wanted to show us a much deeper darker side that we never seen before cause it’s the reality especially to get to know the j hope that we think we know. Think about jack in the box (the actual) it’s all happy and fun and games but inside it’s dark and scary til it’s ready to pop out. Ayoooo!
Yes his rap is crazy here! He caused this fire (his career, choosing this path) and now he's asking himself what he should do now. He should stop or keep going because part of himself wants more? The album playlist in order is just magnificent piece of work. Hobi has outdone himself yet again…this time showing his absolute raw nakedness and speaking out loud all the hope, needs, fears, doubts he went through. It feels like I’m sitting in therapy with him. It’s so HEALING. He chose this song as a title track because summarize everything he want it to say, summarize Jack In the box. He put his soul in this album. The fact it’s also placed as the last track and the lyrics going "now i ask myself, choose what? do i put out the fire, or burn even brighter", asking himself with which side of himself he wanna continue after all the reflection & talk about his identity... IS SO PERFECT. 🙌🏻🔥🔥 CAN'T WAIT FOR HOBIPALOOZA Hobi is so TALENTED AND VERSATILE. I love his voice, the way he raps and change the flow, his lyrics, concepts and creativity. What an artist. I love him so much and I'm so proud of him. 😭💜 btw this is Hoseok talking about Arson: "J-Hope's ignition of my own passion. I ignited a passion for myself, to pursue a career, to pursue my music. But looking back, I kind of went out pof control, and the whole world around me is on fire. I have released a lot of songs and music , and I have gotten to receive love and support from all around the world. So now, the fire or the ignition of the passion is not easy to put out anymore (...) And this song is also about how now I'm at crossroads- a point of choosing between whether I want to put out this fire that I started, or do I want to continue and make it flame even more?"
*Jhope is Impressive,,,ARMYs please don't stop streaming Jhope's New single “ARSON" and also with the whole new album “Jack in the box" !* *Our goal is 30 million in first 48 hours , Remember it , Army please don't disappoint Jhope, Today is one of most important day of Jhope's carrier!*
"Been to hell and back..."...Maybe, "been to heaven and back", feels like. It wasn't possible to remain in that state. What happens after you hit the zenith? Suga, in "Interlude: Shadow", seemed to be asking the same, only to be met with fear, especially acrophobia (fear of heights, falling). In this case J-Hope seems to have come back from 'The Zenith' with numbness, like his nerves were incinerated upon hitting atmospheric highs, and life has lost its pallor ever since. There's probably a sense of dissociation there, too. Feeling distant and removed from everyday life and the goings-on of other people (hence, the extras running around on fire in the background and foreground, ignored). Interesting contrast in post-zenith side effects, that Suga's nerves are heightened due to newfound fear while J-Hope's are dulled from overexposure. One is high energy and increasingly frenetic, whereas the other, here, is relegated to a punishing low.
I loved this song!! Comparing BTS's fame to an uncontrollable fire, the other members as "rational accomplices", the flow switches, his "job being done", so smart and good Fascinating to hear him compare his ambition and success to something that's inherently "criminal"
My interpretation of Arson is how he has sacrificed so much to become famous and get recognition with the other members(referring to the verse: I burn with my buddies) as they have also sacrificed a lot. They're finally at the top, and isn't sure if he wants to continue to be in the fame industry or not. Therefore everything he has done, is done. The KPop undustry can be so sneaky and rewrite their contracts, and make the members do these things in order to get more money. I don't know if this is what Arson truly means, but if it is, then damn did J-Hope just create an amazing call-out to the kpop industry.
I heard this whole album it gives 90s rap and Arson feels very Cypress Hill vibes.. I am not mad at it. I dig it.. I feel this song represents what he has done in his past, he did the kpop thing, he did his time with the group he checked all the boxes, fulfilled his contracts as a group, now he done with all that, now its his time explore who he is. This guy album sounds like a person who has been containing the fire of self discovery and waiting to open that box. Do your thing J "sometimes you gotta be a fierce lion to be who you wanna be"
Hey guys, I’ve seen Arson at passed 12 midnight since it’s released. He rocks and he’s burning hot. But I really enjoyed watching your reaction to his MV. You guys are so hilariously on fire. That’s the JHope effect. 🔥
J-Hope says he wanted new challenges and to show his fans a different deeper raw side of himself and he's succeeded tremendously.. Also you can see the box from MORE in the video
The whole album "Jack in the box" is freaking masterpiece..when you read the lyrics of each track, it hits very different, telling a story, his cadence, his flow, the production! do not play with this man & his art, he's serious about it, he has went beyond! Hoseok outdid himself again.."Hope world" & "Jack in the box" is like full 360° turn! (Tho from daydream we know the depth of his lyrics which introduces us to harsh reality of his/their lives as idols, as BTS in "hope world" also this song gives me a lil bit "hangsang" vibes, which is again from "hope world" so it's also not surprising to see this side of hobi..not that different from hope world if we think, but surely the big difference in vibe/concept) this album is so personal & vulnerable, giving such classic hip hop like you can hear his influences but it's also so freshly hoseok, completely him but also a new side of him! I'm genuinely in love ✨💜 now about "Arson" the lyrics are thought provoking & paired with this imagery, arson is next level stunning! hobi is really bringing us out of "hope world", into the depths of his genius mind🔥🖤 i I'm love with all the tracks, specially equal sign, Arson, safety zone, what if, future...well👁️👄👁️ every jack in the box track is my fav until i hear the next one i guess 🚶🏻♀️🚶🏻♀️🤣 *Fellow ARMYs: stream Arson & Jack in the box y'all!💜*
This song and the MV is so sickk!!! It's absolutely mahd! Like I'm blown! Absolutely!...WOW! I can't wait to see what these guys surprise us with in their solo career😁.
to add to other ppls analysis i think not only is the fire his passion but it symbolizes how uncontrolled passion can be destructive to oneself and the people around us. his insides were charred and still had embers so im thinking its a commentary on how hard theyve had to work and how they needed this break to cool down and recuperate. idk tho
Hobi murdered everything!! I get the same vibes from this just like Suga's Interlude: Shadow, the first part seems reminiscent of the past and what he wanted as an artist, then even the jumpsuit becomes burnt so he's already been through it all, he's then talking from the perspective of Now and what's next
Hope's song was fire, you should check out Pixy (They debuted last year with the song Wings) next are their songs are straight heat 🔥 Would highly recommend Addicted and Bewitched by them. Their debut song Wings is also good. In the case that you do decide to get into them and the storyline I recommend watching the world views for each song before watching the mv so that it makes sense.
They are a super group together! But every solo they have ever done is their own master piece as well. To see their own creative side is amazing and to hear their own stories is even better!!!!!! Can not wait for everyone's solo
He Always been this person since the beginning but he took it in a different level I love this new version of j hope I can't wait for the other members 🫰❤️💜
he’s talking about he did this to himself he burned everything about him his years of youth his sweat to get the success he has he has DONE the job he’s on the top now he’s wondering if he should stop the fire or BURN brighter. he committed arson to himself that’s why he keeps repeating it’s DONE there’s no going back he will continue
Hoseoks new song is fire. Words can't begin to explain just how Fire and Dope this song is. I live the old hiphop beat of the song and I also love how catchy it is. I love how the lyrics rhyme with eachother and I love his voice in this song aswell. The MV is amazing as I love how burnt-out everything is, I so love how "arson" is written is fire. I also love the message behind the lyrics too. Thos side of Hoseok I'm loving I can't wait to hear the entire album now.
the way i took the message was that the whole song was like a metaphor for creative burnout. the fire he set was his passion, like he talked about in more, but eventually this passion became unsustainable and he eventually started to hurt him, hence talking about waking up enveloped in fear, losing touch with his inner self and it being a self arson etc.
J-hope perfectly described the album when he said that he has only one story told in all the songs:)) ... I really like the songs..Hobi has questions and answers in songs that every man has in his head ..

Ayoooo!
I'm loving this aggressive Jhope! He's not stopping. His ambition and passion is on fire!
There’s a lot to discuss about hobi’s music. That part where the fire was out (on the outside) but the fire in him was still burning was lit!
yo!!! This is rap!!!! Fvcking rap! Jhope bringing underground rap is everything!!!! Yes he was spitting bars, fire and arson!
As an old head I can say this whole album is a hip hop masterpiece. J-Hope has a unique flow and it’s showcased here. 💜
BRO IM HERE SO EARLY-- But also, im freaking in love with this album so far and Hobi
🙌🏻🔥🔥 CAN'T WAIT FOR HOBIPALOOZA
Hobi is so TALENTED AND VERSATILE. I love his voice, the way he raps and change the flow, his lyrics, concepts and creativity. What an artist. I love him so much and I'm so proud of him. 😭💜
btw this is Hoseok talking about Arson:
"J-Hope's ignition of my own passion.
*Jhope is Impressive,,,ARMYs please don't stop streaming Jhope's New single “ARSON" and also with the whole new album “Jack in the box" !*
*Our goal is 30 million in first 48 hours , Remember it , Army please don't disappoint Jhope, Today is one of most important day of Jhope's carrier!*
His whole album is FIRE!!🔥
The whole album is fire!! Gives me 90’s hip-hop vibes.
I loved this song!! Comparing BTS's fame to an uncontrollable fire, the other members as "rational accomplices", the flow switches, his "job being done", so smart and good
Fascinating to hear him compare his ambition and success to something that's inherently "criminal"
Jhope light up a fire 🔥 in our hearts with his ARSON on the stage of Lollapalooza.
Jhope. Just a FACT. His an Artist. NO CRAP BUT RAP!
When the fire goes out I think that's the aftermath of everything, but Jhope still has the fire INSIDE OF HIS HEART to keep going. Pretty cool.
I’m so jealous of the armys who get to see this and more live plus the whole album 😩
Great video AMIGOS !!! ARSON SOOOOO DOPE!! JACK IN THE BOX LET'S BURN....🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💥💥
Im obsessed with Pandora's box and equal sign🔥🔥
If there was a Marvel movie "The Human Torch"..this would be the perfect theme fight song
The way I see it is… he’s done all this. Set fire to the world and his job is done! Now he’s set free to be who he is!
I love your reactions as always. Thank you for appreciating j-hope as he deserve. We were all blown away.
J-Hope says he wanted new challenges and to show his fans a different deeper raw side of himself and he's succeeded tremendously.. Also you can see the box from MORE in the video
I clicked this so fast. FINALLY 😭😭😭
You were so right about the solos! It's been amazing! Thank you Hobi for kicking it off right !
I'm genuinely in love ✨💜 now about "Arson" the lyrics are thought provoking & paired with this imagery, arson is next level stunning! hobi is really bringing us out of "hope world", into the depths of his genius mind🔥🖤 i I'm love with all the tracks, specially equal sign, Arson, safety zone, what if, future...well👁️👄👁️ every jack in the box track is my fav until i hear the next one i guess 🚶🏻♀️🚶🏻♀️🤣
*Fellow ARMYs: stream Arson & Jack in the box y'all!💜*
4:08 I just noticed in all of the reaction including me that we naturally got happy when J-Hope cursed😂
J-hope proving once again why he's my bias!
Exactly these solos are going to be amazing u are right!!
This song and the MV is so sickk!!! It's absolutely mahd! Like I'm blown! Absolutely!...WOW! I can't wait to see what these guys surprise us with in their solo career😁.
to add to other ppls analysis i think not only is the fire his passion but it symbolizes how uncontrolled passion can be destructive to oneself and the people around us. his insides were charred and still had embers so im thinking its a commentary on how hard theyve had to work and how they needed this break to cool down and recuperate. idk tho
Can't wait to see your reaction to the whole album! It's really amazing! Especially Equal Sign...
You to baby's ❤️❤️💜❤️ so good and so funny sweetie pie 🥧 thank you so much for the reaction 🙏
Hope's song was fire, you should check out Pixy (They debuted last year with the song Wings) next are their songs are straight heat 🔥
Would highly recommend Addicted and Bewitched by them. Their debut song Wings is also good. In the case that you do decide to get into them and the storyline I recommend watching the world views for each song before watching the mv so that it makes sense.
Check out jhope’s MAMA 2022 live performance
Jhooooppe This song is str8 fire. The vibe is teasing us for more low-key. I can't wait to watch videos of him performing it live. 😍

They are a super group together! But every solo they have ever done is their own master piece as well. To see their own creative side is amazing and to hear their own stories is even better!!!!!! Can not wait for everyone's solo

J-hope FIRE 🔥🔥💥💜💜💜
he’s talking about he did this to himself he burned everything about him his years of youth his sweat to get the success he has he has DONE the job he’s on the top now he’s wondering if he should stop the fire or BURN brighter. he committed arson to himself that’s why he keeps repeating it’s DONE there’s no going back he will continue
I hope you guys go to Lollapalooza! I'll be there. Support our Hope!!!
the way i took the message was that the whole song was like a metaphor for creative burnout. the fire he set was his passion, like he talked about in more, but eventually this passion became unsustainable and he eventually started to hurt him, hence talking about waking up enveloped in fear, losing touch with his inner self and it being a self arson etc.
YALLLL PEEPED HOW THE FIRE WAS FIRST OUT IN THE WORLD BUT AT THE END THE FIRE WAS IN HIM ✋🏾🙃😳🤔😲😲😯
Your excitement and enthusiasm is contagious…l just live your reactions💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
ARSON. ❤️❤️❤️
You guys are AMAZING!!!!! Love your breakdowns, your flow, love it!
J-hope perfectly described the album when he said that he has only one story told in all the songs:)) ... I really like the songs..Hobi has questions and answers in songs that every man has in his head ..
AND ONCE AGAIN J-HOPE REVOLUTIONS AND SHOWS THAT HE HAS A PERSONALITY INDEPENDENT OF OTHERS' OPINIONS. REAFFIRMED HIS SIGNATURE FROM "MORE" TO "ARSON", EMBLEMATIC, ALTENTIC AND OF VERY ATTITUDE, FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T LIKE MORE OR DIDN'T UNDERSTAND, ANOTHER DARK PEARL OF OUR ARTIST WHO DOES WHAT HE LOVES AND CHALLENGES THE SURREAL PERFECTIONS AND BREAKS STEREOTYPE RULES, THE MUSIC BURNS LIKE FIRE IN YOUR BODY AND THE SUPERFLUOUS WILL BE ENCINERATED. CONGRATULATIONS J-HOPE FOR CONTINUE TO FOLLOW YOUR LINE, SATISFIING AND PLEASE THOSE WHO HAVE TO PLEASE, YOU CONTINUE TO THE TOP OF THE SUCCESS STORY WATCHING THE DESPERATE WHO DO NOT LEAVE THE BOX, NOW I ASK MYSELF: "I CHOOSE THAT I SHOULD PUT THE FIRE OUT OR BURN EVEN BRIGHTER." PEARLS OF A HIGH IQ BRAIN AND THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA. J-HOPE IS ICON AND YOU HAVE TO RESPECT THE KING. 👏👏. I LOVE.💗😍. THANKS FOR REACTING IMMEDIATELY. 👏👏
