    Oh man!!! I saw your video yesterday, and my compressor had just failed but I wanted to try this mod so bad that I had to cut the AC belt to just install this mod and try it! I don’t think that a lot of people understand the clutch of an e46 and how vague it is, but this mod made me smile every time I press the clutch. My first video here and I didn’t hesitate to hit the follow and the like button 👍🏼✌🏼🤲🏼

      Hahaha damn son thats how you
      Know you love your bmw! A new compressor can always be put on but the way it drives is the most important part 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

    I just did it and it transformed the car... now my shifts are smoother, the car feels more natural to drive. As a car nerd I liked the philosophical part ahahah

      Brooo thanks for the luvv some times I can go into some rants but that part is closest i’ve gotten to explaining a connection to a car you know? Lol
      Also, i tried to do it one night bro and rounded the mf nut thats holding it on -.- need to find a replacement nut and then figure out a way to remove the busted one

    I bought the big clutch stop from bimmerworld for $20, this is much cheaper but same concept. Made a huge difference for me, clutch doesnt feel like my foot is going to Australia and back anymore. Im considering the mason engineering clutch pedal as well which supposedly makes it even shorter.

      Hahaha To Australia 😭😭😭 Bro when I got in this car and put my foot on the clutch for the first time i thought my shit was gonna go through the floor and just keep going out the engine and onwards lmao. The difference is night and day. But yeah im looking to upgrade it more aswell with a DTM style short shift kit once I begin my build! Stay tuned!

      Hi. I really dont like this long distance of depressing the clutch pedal. thank you for your comment on how you did it with clutch stop from bimmerworld... i was looking at in on their website but they said all E46 models require the clutch to be partially or fully depressed in order to start the vehicle.. what does this mean? im from europe

    • @tigim101
      @tigim101 9 місяців тому

      @@MNE0000 you have to depress the car to start the car (atleast in the USA). If your clutch stop is too thick, when you press in the clutch it wont let the car know the clutch is pressed and you wont be able to start the car. So its just saying to not put something super thick down there or else you wont be able to start the car without programming that feature out. Mine worked fine out of the box.

    Does you pedal runs off of the bolt, I believe that my pedal is not hitting exactly where it should,
    Another question, is your clutch hard to push ?
    I changed my clutch, flywheel, master cylinder and slave cylinder, but I feel like it’s too hard

    I have a automatic, but when your slave cilinder goes to deep it start leaking. Thats like when you bleed your brake flued not with a pump but with the brakepedal.

    Do you bottom it out or set it? If it is not bottomed out, wouldn’t you want a locking nut to ensure it doesn’t back out?

    • @pythondon
      @pythondon  Рік тому

      It’s bottomed out! Yes i thought of adding a nut to give me more precision on where it stops. It ended up stopping perfectly where I’d want it anyways though.

    I noticed my shifts were feeling like crap... removed it and it feels fine now. Maybe the bolt is too long for my lci. The clutch felt completely disengaged. Maybe I need to do a clutch bleed

    • @pythondon
      @pythondon  Рік тому

      Could very well be the case, if its too long you may be half engaging the clutch which is no bueno at all. Try a shorter one if you can. I think i give the measurements in the video. 1.5 inches long is what i can remember i think?

      @@pythondon yeah It was the same length as yours... but i dont know if you guys in the us also measure the top part or just the thread
