Did I leave a cabin area out? Let me know in the comments if there is cabin that should be avoided. Or let me know of a cabin horror story if you stayed in one of the types I mentioned. I bet there are some crazy ones out there.
Great tips Addy!!! I had a cabin by the kids club on the Horizon and maaaannnnnn I hated it. The kids were out of control. They ran up amd down the hall ALLLLLLL night and day. I will never do that again.
Never go on a cruise ever, everything sucks, and there is nowhere to sleep or relax. Wish you recommended some cabins that would be good despite everything being trash.
Thank you. Stayed in interior aft room 2 floors above the club heard that deep base thump all night long ! Stayed in interior forward above the theatre heard all the many rehearsals, bingo, drums , loud microphones . You are spot on .
Hello how are you doing my name is Augustus Caine, and I’m thinking about cruising on my own I’m talking about traveling alone by myself and I wanted to say something on your comment section some Interior Room Cabins, have windows small windows I mean its not better than the Ocean View, but at least you’ll see a little something something, if you know what I mean but the Balcony, oh no I don’t like because it’s a little bit to extreme for me going outside, looking at the water is a little bit suicidal, it could even be a risk, a big risk taking the Balcony/Verandah Cabins and it can be too high above and that right there I’m afraid and scared of heights! Now the Ocean View, yes I’ll take that but the Balcony, NO. The Suite Cabins, I’ll bring my own family! Now ma’am, yes, of course you will hear noises there’s over a thousands of people or more than a 1000 make it millions traveling all over the world from different states, so yes you will hear noises the same-thing with Hotels, and Motels, yes you will hear people you might hear people having sex I’ve heard that before. People will be partying the whole nine all night having a good time so yes, you will hear all that stomping and the music, lots of Loud music and lady kids, run around all the time I’m sure when you was a baby or a child you did the same thing including me, that’s what children do. And the entertainment and the shows and all the theaters, of course!People traveled around the world to perform, especially the talents. The late night clubs is definitely going to be super noisy and super loud and me I travel to have fun not sit in my room all day sleeping all night I wouldn’t mine the party fun outside, room and outside of your room cabin you will hear people walking and walking around. You will hear people coming and going. And that what you was hearing outside of the ship that was the dock workers so don’t think when we all travel to different cruises, we’re gonna expect to get some sleepy beauty of quietness because it’s not going to happen my dear. If so, then cruising is not for you.
You are absolutely right…there is no perfect spot on a cruise for absolute quiet. But if you do know that you want to avoid obvious noisy areas, then those are the areas to avoid.
Uh oh. We’re on deck 1 in a Deluxe ocean view on MAS 1.5. Never been that low. Chose that to save coins. Only good thing we are early risers. 6:30/7 am. I’m praying 🙏🏼
Try to avoid a room near the "I-95" on a ship. The main thoroughfare behind the scenes of a ship that gets crew and equipment from point a to point b on the ship. #firstcomment
Hi there, great tips! I always research the deck plans, even creating my list to take with me of what’s where. We prefer cabins midship. Didn’t think about where they might place us if we were to win a bid on an upgrade which, we just did for the our upcoming May sailing on the Resilient Lady and of course, we won’t know if it’s accepted until before the sailing. I know you’ve sailed on Virgin, so let me know your thoughts. We currently have a Brilliant Suite and bid to upgrade to a Gorgeous Suite; are these suites located in non-desirable locations?
It's not a horror story but I booked a last minute cruise guarantee room on Deck 2 forward with portholes the room was huge, waves hitting the ship at night was loud and I knew when we were docking and leaving but it was cool

Fingers crossed!

good idea
Very good tips Addy, I also like to stay away from above and below the casino.
Perfect!
What about Central Park view room on Royal Caribbean?
😮 Oh no!!!! I gotta check with my travel advisor 😅

No you should be good. Those cabins are pretty much midship 🤩
Thanks that was a huge tip to acknowledge because i really never thought about the Cons of having a room under lido deck
I was on deck 3 on Enchantment OTS and the clothes hangers banged around 24/7. I couldn’t even hear room service knocking.
I try to push all the hangers to one side. and if that doesn't work, I just take the extra ones out and give them to the cabin attendant.
I'm curious what floors are the suites are on
varies from ship to ship
That’s why I am afraid to book a guarantee cabin!
