The thing is the Falcons have a very good roster. Unless they want to start a rookie in two years this pick makes some sense. Cousins deal is essentially two years. Next year is a down QB class plus the Falcons don't expect to be drafting high enough to actually get a top guy. Then the third piece is how many QB's started last year again? There are decent odds Cousins doesn't make it through the year and that backup (Penix) could become incredibly important.
When Stafford is healthy there's very few QBs that can sling it like him. Mahomes is better with improv and arm angles, but Stafford definitely has a bigger arm. Three of the top 5 WRs seasons in league history has Matty Guns as their QB. That's saying something.
Colin has always grossly understated the state of the quarterback position in the NFL for most teams. For crying out loud, most teams have a mediocre quarterback at best, and statistically maybe 1 of the 3 dudes drafted 1-3 in the position this season will stick and be starting 3 years from now.
Defensive coordinators turned head coach have a real history of not developing 1st round QBs. One draft is not catapulting you into Championship contention. The Texans were an anomally not the rule. Keenan Allen has sniffed exactly 0 championships, Swift is on his third team for a reason. They are definitely better but that wr core is not the Bengals, Vikings, Dolphins...
Its funny because a bust for most teams is a valuable peace for mahomes.... remember he won two super bowls throwing three touchdowns to supposed busts. And the league better hope that rugby kid doesnt work out@123shoshan

My thoughts on this draft in a nutshell are; NFC North and NFC West will be bloodbaths, Commanders loaded up on a lot of impact players, Patriots actually had a really good draft for the first time in a long time and finally went heavy on offense, if Russ or Fields fail behind this re-tooled Steelers oline, defense, and run game then they're cooked, what the fuck are the Falcons doing(even if Penix is great in 2 years, their next 2 picks were still reaches) no more excuses for Bryce Young this year, and that having Howie Roseman is a cheat code in the NFL like having Spo/Riley in the NBA. Got the 1B corner, doubled down on secondary with Coop DeJean and I expect him to be a bigger Tyrann Matthieu and the Eagles STILL came away with extra 3rd, 4th, and 5th round picks for next years draft
Let me guess. Colin thinks the Bears are winners because they drafted a USC QB. After all, Sam Darnold, Mark, Sanchez. Matt Leinart, and Carson Palmer won multiple Super Bowls each. NFL Draft and media overhyping USC QBs is a tradition like no other.
Just trade Cousins after 1-2 years, and eat some of the last few years of his salary from the team you trade him to. Not a big deal. Cousins has probably 3 years left of decent play. This gives Penix 1-2 years to learn the offense and develop.
31:34 Not only can Deebo not get open running regular routes, his lack of effort blocking or selling a play when he's a decoy is bullsh*t compared to Aiyuk or McCaffery or Jennings going all out helping the other players extend runs or get open. If you are limited in your abilities as a WR, the LEAST he could do is use fricken big body to help other teammates by blocking or selling his decoy routes.

@@blackkrakken349 what are you saying? Tyreek Hill is 5’8” and he is over 190! The other 2 you mentioned are both 15lbs heavier, and similar height. So he lost 10% of his weight to run fast? Draft the top corner Quinyon Mitchell and arguably the top DB in Cooper Dejean.
6'7 Johnny Wilson who I thought had a 3rd rd grade you find in the 6th
and you draft one of the Top 4 tailbacks in Will Shipley to compliment
the biggest off season addition for Philly in Saquon Barkley.
The one thing I wish the eagles would have done was Keep Swift. And instead of getting Barkley one out and got Patrick Queen. But the eagles are going to be able to score a lot of points. GO birds
Why compare tech businesses to the entertainment business, which sports teams are. In my mind, it would have better to compare the NFL to other sports leagues or possibly any other entertainment segment.
Hopefully AOC & GM can put twenty points on the board every game because the defense looks really good. The NFL DARK HORSE is the Raaaaiderrrrs!
Colin Coward! Talk about the Steelers line how impressive tomlin rebuilt it in one year where’s the praise?
Stop with the Steelers already. They’re the worst team in their division. They are finishing last. Go root for the lousy Pirates. Hahaha 😂 😂😂
Tomlin is going to get fired this year… The Steelers players aren’t listening. No praise for the Steelers dude. Look at the calendar. It’s not the 1970’s anymore…
One year? They've been trying for years. Maybe they finally have the guys but that is certainly not a one year effort to get there.
John take on KD had me crying 😂😂😂 “What is this?” I knew I wasn’t crazy when watching KD , his Effort is embarrassing.
Not a mention of the Steelers draft and off-season??
What happened to Middlekauff-Haberman ?
I don’t see how my Seahawks are last in our division. Our head coach beat the shit out of the niners who get to see him twice a year and while he didn’t do as well against the rams I just think from a defensive master mind such as himself he’s going to be a real problem for the offensive coaches in our division. Personally I see us as 2 with niners 3 and cardinals last
Da Bears win every offseason, just ask them
They were top 3 this time for sure!
True statement
Winner: Cardinals-Drafted the best player in the draft by a mile along with 7-8 potential starters at positions of needs.
Many thought that Nabers was just as good! For sure he is faster than Harrison!
The German Soccer Club has a player (an American) Timothy Chandler, he barely plays, but he is called by the the „Innenminister“ in English interior minister.
He is important for the atmosphere in the locker room, he speaks multiple languages he helps with integration of an multiethnic multicultural team.
For a team to work you need these characters.
How does he say “Arthur can design his contract better because he has more money” and the next sentence say “this league is different because everyone has the same resources”. I mean…what the fuck are you talking about, guy?
More guaranteed money and less overall money due to giving out more guaranteed money.
These two love what the Rams and Chargers did in the draft by taking oline and dline heavy, but shit on the Cowboys for doing the same thing.
Clearly vrabel is their “pal” and saying “buddy” to Ran is condescending. I mean come on dude. Titans are a small market team so don’t act like you pay attention to the titans and know what’s going on. Vrabel didn’t play well with others and btw did you see his record the last 2 years and the bad O line? Look it up. And if vrabel is so good why’s he not got a HC job….
Not Colin advertising NFTs 😂😂🤦 c'mon man
Counterpoint: it's easy not to like the Bears
Does Colin realize how much better Kmet is than Everett?
Let me guess. Colin thinks the Bears are winners because they drafted a USC QB. After all, Sam Darnold, Mark, Sanchez. Matt Leinart, and Carson Palmer won multiple Super Bowls each.
NFL Draft and media overhyping USC QBs is a tradition like no other.
Caleb Williams played at Oklahoma so a lot of this is just drivel lol
Just trade Cousins after 1-2 years, and eat some of the last few years of his salary from the team you trade him to. Not a big deal. Cousins has probably 3 years left of decent play. This gives Penix 1-2 years to learn the offense and develop.
Colin, the interest in NBA is simply not there. Look at the ratings. Stop trying to push it on us.
31:34 Not only can Deebo not get open running regular routes, his lack of effort blocking or selling a play when he's a decoy is bullsh*t compared to Aiyuk or McCaffery or Jennings going all out helping the other players extend runs or get open. Then you watch lazy fat Deebo going through the motions. If you are limited in your abilities as a WR, the LEAST he could do is use fricken big body to help other teammates by blocking or selling his decoy routes.
Agreed I’m done with deebo and Kyle schemes his offense around him because that’s how to use him Jimmy needed deebo but Brock with his timing accurate throwing needs true WRs that get open having one wr rb and 2 gimmick guys you have to scheme open you hit a point where the top defenses can stop what you do well
24:17 “oh Jesus “ The moment Colin had enough with being interrupted. Guy is acting like it’s his show and Colin is just a guest that begged to come on.
You're reaching. That had nothing to do with Colin getting interrupted. More like a reaction to Joe Alt's size
Raiders gonna be taking Sanders next year.
Many fans know what's going on, we just don't want others to know it.
xavier worthy was not hurt a lot at texas😭
Exactly, he played every game😂
I was gonna comment this and he had a lot of drops one year because he played with a broken hand
@@blackkrakken349 Now he’ll play against men, who will manhandle him at the line! He is too light, 160 lbs, come on now!
@attilasuto6013 You keep thinking that. He's the same size as DeSean Jackson, Devante Smith and Tyreek Hill. He lost weight to run the 40 at 165, which is not his playing weight as he said and everyone who stopped to listen would know.
@@blackkrakken349 what are you saying? Tyreek Hill is 5’8” and he is over 190! The other 2 you mentioned are both 15lbs heavier, and similar height. So he lost 10% of his weight to run fast? Interesting, he couldn’t do anything else , because his catching ability isn’t par to the rest of the receivers. He was smart to maximize his value through, before his phenomenal run time he was a second or third round pick.
I agree KD is not playing at a super star level
Colin Dak didn't have a running back last year you sound ridiculous.
Buccaneers again underdogs after winning the division 3 straight years. Put the chip on bakers shoulder. Fine with me🤷🏼♂️
Afc north is better.
No respect to the young raiders qb who had to deal with alot of adversity last year and outplayed all but stroud in his draft class. I think people will be surprised on his upside
I love listening to you guys but damn the love fest with MC Vay and Shanahan is intoxicating damn come on you guys try and be level-headed sometimes.
Silly question, but please enlighten me: What is a "ham and egger"? 🤣
Boxing term, A poor fighter who is just there for a meal.
'Bob's Burgers" has a great episode with a fake boxing movie "Ham n' Eggers"
Ryan Pace, what joke, sooooooo glad he is not in Chicago any longer. He just makes moves that don't make any sense, it's more like unprepared panic moves, that cost time, money and games.
COLTS HAD AN A+ DRAFT…
Sure bud
Yeah they did
@@PeteMD Finally Chris Ballard got a draft right. Now if we all can figure out what’s going on with his metamorphosis into a cross between Axl Rose and Chucky the doll, we would all feel less creeped out…
@@NeverB_Gameover I hope so anyway. Really you have to wait 2 or 3 years to see how most of these draft picks turn out …
“Weird doesn’t work”, def about skip
Rams get players who are serious grown adult men. A+. Closed the gap with the Niners. SB contender.
You two obviously didn’t watch the Browns last year. We were down nearly everyone. If our line is healthy, we’re not down to our 4th string QB. Like Watson or not, we were 6-3 with him starting games. You schmucks should actually do research.
Chiefs make and win superbowls because they have spagnuolo and one of the best defenses in the nfl. Without that Mahomes not going anywhere.
The Falcons have the best qb room and roster in the South. That's the damn job period. Go against conventional wisdom and get skewered. Typical, everyone needs a talking point I guess
When Colin mentioned he was talking to someone in his field and they were talking about a media person struggling and how “weird eventually doesn’t work” - he was definitely talking about Skip Bayless.

As a Bears fan, I never thought I would see the day we had an offense with this much talent.
Time will tell. Perhaps the payoff for years of incompetence?
It's the bears, they'll blow it. I already bet $150 that pinky won't start over 15 games in the league. Should get paid within the next 2-3 years.
Let's hope your OC figures it out because he couldn't do it in Seattle.
Bears fans say this every two years!!!
⬇️🤡
Looks good on paper, but way too early to celebrate- they've had teams that look good on paper before.
Best segment of the week
Middlekauff crushing it!
I like him! Brings great energy and insight
I used to live in Chattanooga Tennessee. Man Tennessee in general is a vibe bruh i miss it so much. Such a fun state and yeah drinking is heavy there 🤣🤣 that all we did go to a family member house and drink and grill all day then hit the club later wit the homes and drink and play pool and darts n shit it just walk downtown it be lit downtown Chattanooga
Steelers and saints had really good drafts
Preciate it. As a smaller market team (Saints). I never expect Colin or even John to give us credit. Thought the Steelers had a really good draft too
As someone who lives in Green Bay this is not a great spot to come and stop drinking
Oh Colin. I’m a Cardinals fan, I can’t stand Bidwell, but please don’t excuse Keim. Literally 5% of his draft picks worked. And the ones who did work (hasaan Reddick) he let walk. Just stop.
True, but while he mentioned Keim the topic of that part of the discussion was owners, and the Bidwills are pretty clearly near the top of the list of bad ones.
@@AlowisciousMahoney absolutely.
Colin still believing in the Broncos is hilarious.
Eagles should Win that Division.
Wash got much better.
Dallas may win 10 games tops.
One and Done.
NFC North is Loaded.
They all got better.
Got to give it to the Bears.
Packers are still with Detroit favorites. But anyone in that Division can win it.
Should be interesting.
Go Pack Go.
Chicago definitely did the best job when off season. Nobody knows what C Williams is going to do. That kids got a lot of pressure on him. They're calling him the next Patrick mahomes I love it as an eagles fan. But all in all they got better a lot better. But Green Bay is still way above them. That's going to be good. And yes Minnesota definitely got better.
Thanks for the late night upload Uncle Colin!❤
Look at number 2 pick zack wilson just got traded for peanuts, baker mayfield 1st pick and is on his 4 th team
Right, there is no sure thing…
Stafford is going to be old all of a sudden! Could be this year
