I’m really looking forward to this one. I especially want to see how well the tank reacts to the pads (scratches etc.) and how it is used to hold a (small) load.
Hi Trevor. The suction pads on the rack are really good. They do not mark the tank although if they were left on for some considerable time the tank would need cleaning afterwards. The secret to non scratching is to gently lift the edges of the cups to break the seal and not to try and pull them off. I had an errand to run yesterday to collect some medicine from the vets. The larger bag in the film was used. It’s a bit too large for the rack if honest. I secured it with a bungee cord. Didn’t move at all. Although, Trip machine do a pouch that would fit perfectly 👍
@@JackBonhamMotorcycles Which leaves one question, are you going to replace the catalytic converter with an X-pipe? I replaced mine last year (with the TEC version) and it transforms the bike. Torque and tractability are noticeably improved at low engine speeds, fuel economy is untouched and the exhaust note now has a growl without making much extra noise.
Hi gentleman Jack. Please be extremely careful that never come off when doing 100 kmh or 60mph with things on top of it. I’ve got the Givi tank bag and put the provided straps under the seat and also around the front. I’ve seen too many come off Jack. Let me know how it goes ? I
Thank you John. To be honest I only purchased it so I can fit a small pouch on it that contains a phone for Google maps or a small flat pouch with a few things. That said I had a few items from the vets on it and it held fast at 60. Although the items were not heavy 👍
Are you aware that you can reverse the cover of your Monza gas cap? Doing so makes normal gas fills much more convenient not to mention that the cap will no longer interfere with your Aero rack. Enjoy your videos, they are quite relaxing.
Hi Mike. No i didn't know. I will have a look at that. That's what I love about doing this UA-cam channel. Coming across great people like you that often give great advice. Thank you 👍
@@JackBonhamMotorcycles I had the similar gas cap on my 2016 Thruxton and that was one of the first things I did to it both for convenience and looks as I remember my old bikes had Monza caps that, when opened, faced the rider not the handlebars.
Looks good on the Bud Elkins version I bought one for my t120 Diamond version nice rack but unfortunately with the ghost Union Jack transfer the suckers don’t work any suggestions anyone Cheers Jack.
Hi William. I am not sure how large the transfers are on the diamond version but I managed to get mine to stick to the Bud Ekins transfer. I just pressed up and down on the sucker like a pumping action and eventually after a few presses it stuck 👍
A practical piece of kit that's going to prove to be useful this coming season.
Thank Mark. It looks pretty good too 👍
@@JackBonhamMotorcycles It sure does!
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers! 👍
Excellent review, love the T100
Thank you Chris much appreciated. Yes the T100 is an excellent bike 👍

@@JackBonhamMotorcycles Thank you very much. They were the answers I was looking for. It looks like I now have one item for my birthday present list.

Might a bit of “helicopter tape” (thick transparent polyurethane tape) help with the adhesion? The tape is sticks well but is removable.
