The trinode for those that are curious are: quint/shadow bats/dark omen. There's optionally a 3 node setup to put in shadow spark. There are BAs with quint or shadow spark which result in the same results so NWs can mob with whichever they choose (:

@@Niimsy progression is actually pretty slow, the game doesn't even "Start" until you hit 200 in a big sense. There are many dailies to do and lots of grinding ahead, ask any veteran and they will say pre 200 is the tutorial

As a NW main, I'd say it's pretty good. I go Quintuple Throw, Shadow Bats, Dark Omen for my tri node. The other one is much less necessary, and you can go for all your other nodes before you go for it, but it's Dominion, Spark, and Stitch. Dominion's main benefit is summoning more bats, which aren't buffed by the dominion node, Spark is only good if your bats can't one-shot (since I mained NW since before the revamp, it wasn't used at all), and stitch is your bind so it doesn't really need a buff, though it's kinda funny with the change making it into a kinda bad AOE attack when grinding. That trinode is okay if you're making a new NW, bad if you're already established if you don't have all your other attack and buff nodes maxed. But keep that trinode for once all your other nodes are done if you roll into it.

They are definitely on the lower side for vertical range, except blaze wizard I guess. They are not bad though, except maybe wind archer and night walker.

Both bats and the close to zero cooldown dark omen add a lot to vertical range for nw, but you still want to kill enemies with no more than 3, maybe 4 bounces from the bats. Like in hall of honor I could stand in the middle row, kill that with quintuple throw + bats, mostly wipe the top row from bouncing bats and pretty much clear the bottom one with dark omen. Depending on the map and your damage, nw can be decent or very bad. Long flat maps don't work very well, you want multiple but close platforms, kinda like slurpy forest depths, but if it's bigger, with more spawn, it's probably better. Not too big though, you lack the wide ranging attacks to properly clear big ones. Also 5th job skills consume a lot of mana, so you need potions to use them off cooldown, or you'll be oom after one or two full rotations. Nw has shit mana pool, not only low hp.
I remember playing as a NW before Ignition, I wouldn't really call it a revamp, more like a small upgrade of QOL and a lot of retexturing skills and their icon looks. The only one who got a major change are DW and Mihile, the others got basically some recoloring of their skills and maybe some buffs, which is considered a revamp, but to compare other classes and how their revamps changed their gameplay without harming the class's mechanics too much (like Marksman, I/L, F/P, Shadower), the KOC revamp seem... kind of a lackluster...
Yeah, it’s been nerfed hard because of how many bosses are in game now. Chaos is still pretty decent but normal zakum is a 2nd tier boss. The crystal isn’t even worth a mill when you sell it to the collector and the gear is 110, pretty low lvl for bossing gear
You can only mega burning other characters to 150. Your lvl 250 hyper burning character must be deleted if you’d like to do another hyper burning character

Yes and no. If you have a pet with auto potion and meso grab, you might run through pots pretty quick but you will always have money to get more. If you don’t have a pet, it’s pretty expensive up until about 4th job when you get the bats that heal for more hp per hit. You still spend a lot on pots but significantly less than before 4th job
I'm hyper burning a nw now, and while it is by no means a good mobber, especially since I come from playing luminous, but with the triple level ups it is still quite fast, though with the small mp pool 5th job skills are quite a big drain.

Just came back to maplestory and this is now my main. Im at 205 and trying to do some bossing for gear and leveling. Its a lot of fun!

As a NW main, I'd say it's pretty good. I go Quintuple Throw, Shadow Bats, Dark Omen for my tri node. most LUK classes have such bad mobbing I level them to 200 atm for legion and Night walker is the worst

You have to kill the arms for the exp. If you kill the body the arms just die and give you nothing.

Night lord does more damage but is more of a glass cannon while Night Walker does less, but has more utility like a bind and s, etc
