Great video. Kenny Burrell is one of the all-time greats of jazz guitar. His recorded resume on Wikipedia is amazing and there is no one alive today who compares to him. He has played with everybody you can name, let alone done so many legendary records on his own.
Great lesson! I love how you casually talked passionately about Kenny Burrell and his style. My first experience with jazz music as far as the guitar was Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown. He was more Texas swing but me being a 20 year old back in the 80s, I associated him with jazz. But then I heard a radio show out of Oxford Ohio. The radio personality was Mama Jazz she would play jazz music on weekends. And it was through her I heard Cincinnati local Jazz guitarist named Cal Collins. It was then, I made the switch from Listening to Black Sabbath, AC/DC, etc. etc. to listening to jazz.
Soulful ,elegance, swing.and a very cool cat❤😊.
