Thanks Ivan, I think that the Tumbling Toms will appreciate the move into the big pots on their own without any competition for water and feed so win-win. Well done to your neighbour for giving you those lovely lettuces. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Checked them this morning and so far so good
Thank you Stevie
I always grow tomatoes in planters and throw the compost away each year but I noticed you used to grow them in soil in your greenhouse how did you prepare the soil for the new plants
Just dug it over and added fish blood and bone
Thank you James
Great! Thanks
Thanks for the update Ivan, container garden looks amazing. So nice of your neighbour, to leave you lettuce plants. I've started harvesting my mini cucumber, this week. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Sheila much appreciated
That's nice of your neighbour. We've just had some courgette plants given
Great isnt it
Thank you
I really like Jacks Magic compost. It’s fine with little or no lumpy bits and good enough for seeds.
Great stuff Thank you
Good luck with your tomatoes, usually a hardy bush, lovely looking cucumber
Looking ok this morning so far so good
Thank you Tom
Great job with your move of the Tumbling Tom plants Ivan! Looked like you got a really good rootball so I'm sure they'll perk up strongly in the days ahead. I grew some for the first time last year and they sprawled all over the place - so this year I'm trying some in hanging baskets. Lots of growth so far but no harvest yet - fingers crossed for you too. 🤞
Thank you Anthony
I hope the tumbling tomatoes 🍅 survive the transplanting nice size cucumbers 🥒 same size as the ones I have grown this season, All the best Iven. Tim 😊😊
Checked them this morning and so far so good Thank you Tim
Hi Ivan. Would you mind telling me the name of the mini cucumber please?
Hi Tina they are called Mini Stars
I dug up a bush tomato plant ( like you overcrowded ). It looked so sad for 3 days now it’s perked up so good luck fingers crossed 🤞
Great stuff Thank you Chris
Ivan, I thought your tomatoe plants looked happier in their new homes.👍🍅
I think so too Thank you Jen
Those are nice little lettuce plants. I hope your tomatoes do fine in their new pots.
Thank you Connie looked ok this morning
Great video Ivan, veg doing well. Keep up the great work. 👍
Thank you Mark
Hi Ivan love your content have you got a compost bin I don’t recall seeing one 👍
Hi John Thank you much appreciated and no we are not allowed one
That’s a shame never mind looks like you found the compost that works for you 👍@@ivans-gardening-allotment-uk
Cheers Ivan
Thank you too
My bush tomatoes - and they're all so-called dwarfs and semi-dwarfs, too - are going mad. Some of them are almost 3ft high, indoors on my windowsill. My outside toms, including tumbling tom and tumbling tigress, are outside, and not quite as vigorous, thank goodness, as the windowsill ones!
Hope you get a great harvest
Thank you
