i’m VERY late, but i’d like to mention that he isn’t lip syncing. yes, he’s using a backing track but he’s singing over it. it’s very difficult to hear but it’s most obvious every time he sings “i’m coming to terms with a broken heart, i guess that sometimes good things fall apart”.

alright, I have to admit I don't like this live version. This is encore, he is probably tired and his voice already gave up for the day, but it's painful to listen to.
He doesn't use autotune, he has backing vocals covering him up. And I mean literally covering his voice, you can't hear his voice over the speakers. Also easy to distinguish, as the backing vocals sound crisp af, where his actual vocals sound as you would expect from a live version.
I have to give him credit though for having the balls to perform this live. It's so EDM, I think you can't perform it really when you don't do proper setup and planning, that's just because it's far too synthetic at some points.
Still, I love his work and have respect for him and the song is one of my favorites. Maybe I'll find a version later where he does better. This one isn't it though.

I hate how people that can’t sing for shit, sing along to songs at concerts. It’s why I love watching live concert recordings. Because then you get a chorus effect from the massive audience where the good singers and decent singers drown out the shitty singers, and the song isn’t ruined. Downside is the is recorded right next to a group of girls that cant sing for shit, and are loud AF so all you hear is off-key nonsensical yelling.

Yeah literally the only song with playback. Its because the sound on the song is so acoustic... and well the concert is anything but that. Also hes totally tired and wants to save his vocal cords. Hitting those notes at every concert every other night for the whole tour would do some damage.

I am a live audio engineer, pitch correction can be done in real time, Bellion doesn't need it though. If you've ever watched his BTS videos you can see how accurate his vocal control is.
