    RIA,
Your pholourie, aloo pie and tamarind chutney are all fantastic.
Kudos to you!! My husband always say my aloo pies are better than what sells on the side of the road.

I feel like I have been brought up in a traditional indian home when it comes to my aloo pie and pholourie.

Great !!! Can't get Tamarind here where I am but I use English brambly apples to make something similar. Quite a tart apple for cooking, baking & chutneys. ... cooks down easily. Tons of scotch bonnets, crushed garlic, usual spices and oil - no added water .... but I am sure I can't teach an old dog new or any tricks... you have seen it, done it etc etc!! It's all about you and your channel with lovely recipes... so I'll stop here and say thanks again :-) ... good night

Love philistinism, but when I go home, I haven't found a vendor who makes real pholouri. Seems to me it's just flour and saffron, tearless. Your recipe seems authentic. Keep it moving. Hi Taste of Trini. Delicious as usual. I must have mentioned this before. When are you going to introduce the Trini classic: The Chow? Mango/pineapple/carambola (five finger)/sour cherry/pomme cythere ( is it available over there?) In fact any sour fruit you can find over there, for instance: apple. It will make for a fantastic hors d'oeuvre. This is classic Trini. It will definitely open appetites. Control the Heat!
