If you are interested in our virtual classroom set-up or our virtual classroom tour for middle school social studies, you are in the right place! This video walks through our very simple set-up for teaching virtually/remote teaching part-time.
One thing I forgot to mention in this video is that we will be using an Ethernet cord for the most reliable internet connection, especially having 30 kids on at one time! There is also a charger on the wall behind me, which is a must!

Why did your turn off comments in the prince EA video? Because you didn’t want anyone to comment on y’all’s ignorance
Every time he makes a good point you say
    “sChOoLs aRe cHanGinG”
    “sToP bLaMiNg tEaChErS”
You tell him to stop blaming teachers and then skip right over the section where he talks about how not all teachers are bad and that it’s not all their fault. Then you go along act like nothing happened
When he talked about common core and you guys said we want to switch back to “the normal way because it’s too hard” that’s completely untrue. We just want to learn stuff that we could actually use in real life.
Go and actually look at the cited sources

Hi! We actually left the comments on for this video for about 6 months, but we turned them off during the last year and a half because we were struggling to keep up with the volume of the email we received with comment notifications (this video was much more popular than most on the channel). We realized that in certain spots it was not clear to students watching that we are actually very supportive of students learning what they need to use in real life. As we speak, I'm actually working to get quality job-related skills and curriculum incorporated in social studies classrooms at the national level. We were often speaking to the behind the scenes challenges and road blocks that prevent teachers and districts from making the necessary changes, such as with state/national laws (which include the latest round of standardized test requirements, for example), teacher prep courses at universities, and school boards. No matter what, there is a lot of work we have to do reforming the education system, and everyone plays an important role... perhaps you can even take on a leadership role at your school and reach out to district staff about changes you'd like to see. Have a great day!
