Sadly yes. Deborah Makepeace died on Groundhog Day 1999 from cancer. She was only 42 years old. I’ve been told from a few of her colleagues (such as Julie Dawn Cole, Érin Geraghty, and Clare Clifford) that she was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. A very kind and talented girl who was taken far too soon.

I was told by one of the actors on this show that the tapes for A Little Princess were not wiped after they were broadcast BECAUSE a BBC employee was able to watch them in the early 90s while doing research. And I’m sure they wouldn’t have wiped it after the early 90s, it has so much historical value.

@@deborahmakepeacememorial6362 BBC wiped it out. They don't have it in their archive. At the time it was sold to some foreign TVs, like Iranian state TV, so they have the whole series in their library.
