The story could have worked. I just didn't care about any of the characters. The standard goofy Disney humor didn't help either. I also found it odd that Jaeger, a great explorer, discovered a new plant, yet treated it like a garbage find. The whole point of exploring is to find new things. And he seemed to regard the Strange World with contempt--despite it being his discovery. It seemed the writers wanted him to be an Ahab character chasing Moby Dick, but that portrayal didn't make sense to me.
This feels like the least Disney out of all the Disney movies. That could have been a good thing that would make the Disney film more unique, but not in a case of this film. My biggest problem with Strange World is that it felt like it's just trying to a different animation studio. It felt way too much like a Sony Pictures Animation movie and I'm talking about the ones before Spider-Verse.
My problem with this movie is(and some people might disagree with me, and thats ok), if they were advertising this movie as having the first openly gay character in it, this relationship should've been one that was developed and as a "sweet reward" just like if it was any other straight couple from past Disney movies. What I mean by this is, remember how Rapunzel and Flynn Rider started out as working together before helping the other out and developing their feelings? Remember how Cinderella just wanted to go to the ball before meeting the prince? Remember how Tiana and Naveen had to work together to be human again but found both respect and love for each other? The romances in these past movies weren't immediately established prior to the past protagonists adventures, it was something that happened along the way that they didnt realize they needed/wanted in another person. My version of the movie would have Diazo instead of being introduced in the beginning as Ethan's crush that honestly is barely a character in this movie, he instead is a more important character like the son of the villain that couldve been in the movie who goes from working alongside his villain father who doesn't realize how horrible his father is to actively helping Ethan and his family protect the environment, eventually the two realizing they have feelings for each other in the middle of this conflict! With this, maybe there could be exploration of what makes a bad father vs a good father, Searcher being the good one for accepting his son no matter what or who he chooses to be, while Diazo's father would be disappointed in his kid for choosing to work with the good guys while making some subtle snarky comment towards his own son basically saying he disapproves him being gay by saying something like "You threw all our hard work anf my legacy away for some boy....." Diazo would literally mean something to this story and could have a character arc and Ethan also comes to terms with who he is and the two hook up for their first kiss after the conflict is solved. We would get our action adventure, strong ham fisted message about stopping corrupt villains from exploiting the environment, AND we get our gay representation too!
Diazo going on the expedition would've been such an easy way to develop the romance, but no doubt Disney chickened out putting more focus on it than they already did in the final product
And to a lesser extent Raya, Frozen II and Ralph Breaks the Internet. Basically this is my ranking of the Disney Revival films from least favorite to most favorite (I haven’t seen Moana 2, so I can’t comment on that): 14. Ralph Breaks the Internet 13. Raya and the Last Dragon 12. Wish 11. Frozen II 10. Strange World 9. Winnie the Pooh 8. Wreck-It Ralph 7. Big Hero 6 6. Frozen 5. Moana 4. Encanto 3. Princess and the Frog 2. Tangled 1. Zootopia
That's a tough one--comparing Wish to Strange World. They were equally as bad to me. But Wish was more disappointing because of how much potential it had, and that makes it a more memorable failure.
Even to be honest I believe Strange World wasn’t supposed to be a Disney animation production I could have a theory that this idea came from Blue Sky Studios which they wanted to make the movie unfortunately it didn’t happened because they were shut down and Disney decided to develop the film instead and ruined it
The fact is the "trees" gave away instantly that this was the inside of a body (since it was so obviously aveoli), and once I noticed that the big "reveal" fell completely flat on its face. Also, like Raya with the word trust, the family "conflict" was so obvious that I exactly guessed point for point what was going to happen between Searcher and Ethan. Heck, even Elemental did the "generational trauma" thing way better.
Man this film could've been interesting. Disney doesnt really do Scifi so a new one could've been a cool new take, but the film suffers from being very bland and unmemorable. Shame cause if they leaned more on the pulp style, it could've stood out more on the style alone. Additionally, the idea of focusing on three generations of men from the same family sounds cool too, but it was just a flop
Movies like Nimona, Puss in boots, the last wish,Super Mario Movie,Spider-Man Across the spider verse and The wild robot are way better than this movie!!!
I remember Schaffrillas saying in his analysis of the film in his analysis video concerning Disney’s villainless films that Strange World’s environmental subplot would’ve been more affective if the film had a straightforward villain that wanted to exploit the titular strange world for personal gain as well as adding urgency to the climax and strengthening the family conflict and the adventure theme of the film. The closest thing the film has to a villain would be Callisto Mal, since she comes in telling the main characters that their fuel source is dying and brings them on the mission to find out the cause and insists on killing the strange creatures destroying their fuel source even after finding out that fuel source is actually the one harming their world. But I do have mixed feelings on the idea of Callisto as the villain. On the one hand, Schaff does make a good point on how her being the villain would give better stakes to the climax and a better motivation for the Clade family to resolve their conflicts and work together. But on the other hand, having her as the villain would have brought back the twist villain cliche that many hated and no doubt, many probably would’ve been frustrated with her being the twist villain since, like the other twist villains, it being revealed toward the end of the film. I mean, is worth it bringing back the twist villain trope for the sake of having more urgency in the climax?
While that is true, Schaff also pointed out that one way that the movie can rectify that is to reveal to the audience that the villain is secretly evil when the other characters aren’t looking. That way it be less of a “fooled you!” to the audience and more so building tension as the audience is constantly worrying for the character’s safety. He mentioned this when he talked about Anna and Elsa’s grandfather and how Frozen 2 could’ve gone down that route. Sort of like how Treasure Planet did with John Silver. Bottom line, if you’re making an action adventure movie like Strange World, you better have some stakes to the story than just “family drama” and “misunderstandings.”
@ Still, it would be annoying to go through the twist villain trope again, even if you reveal the villain is evil to the audience early and not the other characters. Considering Strange World came out 6 years after the last Disney animated film to have a twist villain with Zootopia, if SW would’ve had a twist villain, it would’ve felt like Disney was slipping back into the habit of twist villains; and like I said, people on the internet would’ve complained about it.

Strange world had it issues, but I watched it on a bus trip and absolutely fell in love with the characters and the concept. It's a shame no one gave it a try initially, myself included
Right? My friend and I wanted to do something since I was in town, so we went to see it on a whim since it was the only cartoon in theaters at the time. Ive never seen this movie. But this movie feels like the polar opposite of scavengers reign. A show about humans trying to survive in an alien world. But that show is way darker and a lot of the plot comes from not just survival but how the alien world makes the humans have to change and how in turn, the influence of humans changing the alien world. Very fascinating.
Wow, I can't believe that movie even exist, same goes for Wish. I see why many fans believe Disney lose its touch/magic in making something good/enjoyable, which is also the same problem with some Disney Channel shows, if they get rid of all the bad writing and mean-spirited moments, along with cringeworthy acting. Also, I'm not sure if Strange World, Wish, or Ralph Breaks the Internet was Disney's worst, no no, it's definitely those unnecessary live action remakes, and yet, I don't know which movie causes the downfall to the studio, or what year it's been happening, who knew things just keep on getting worse for no reason, curse you Hollywood and those cash grabs, almost like I never understood why people also called Raya and the Last Dragon disappointing.
I actually surprisingly loved Raya & The Last Dragon and Encanto. Then after those, Disney's recent creative decline started. They just been hit and miss
I thought Raya was good as well. Not great, but not disappointing. Looking at the wiki list of Disney animations, they've been going downhill since Ralph Breaks the Internet in 2018. Encanto was good, but there's Strange World and Wish. Counting Pixar as well, there's Onward and Lightyear. I'd also include Turning Red and Elemental--though some people seem to like those for some reason. I liked Luca and Soul was okay, though I think a lot of people liked Soul. And there's Inside Out 2, which I haven't seen yet. I don't think Disney is "getting worse for no reason." Personally, I blame activists--because their agendas come before story, often making them bad storytellers.
I wonder if Strange World followed the plot similar to Treasure Planet, adventure story dealing estrange parents that motivates the characters to go on an adventure.
The problem with this movie and films from the last 5 years such as Turning red, Lucca and Elemental is that more than stories they feel like trends...most of then are good, but not great. That's why they are so forgettable. We need great stories with heroes to be admired (...not just relatable) and villains that are larger than life (...not just abstract concepts of the imperfections of human interactions)...This is just my opinion
Since pando was a weed/virus all along does that make Searcher in the wrong and Yeager correct to abandon his family as well? What would they have done if they'd stuck together and discovered the turtle at the start?
I tried an experiment by asking ai the problems by copying the script and dang, ai has some accurate points: Ai response: This script is a wild ride! It's got a lot of heart and some interesting ideas, but it definitely needs some work. Here's a breakdown of the major problems: **1. Pacing and Structure:** * **Too much exposition:** The opening narration dumps a ton of information on the audience. It's more engaging to reveal the world and its history gradually through action and dialogue. * **Rushed character development:** We don't get to know Searcher and Ethan well before they're thrust into this adventure. Their motivations and conflicts feel underdeveloped. * **Uneven plot progression:** The story jumps between different threads (Searcher with Jaeger, Ethan with Callisto) without a clear sense of momentum. Some scenes drag while others feel rushed. * **Over-reliance on coincidence:** Ethan just happening to be on the ship, Legend conveniently opening the door, Splat leading them to the heart - these feel contrived and undermine tension. **2. Character Issues:** * **Jaeger's inconsistency:** He's presented as a reckless, selfish explorer, then suddenly becomes a loving father and grandfather. This shift needs to be earned and explored more deeply. * **Searcher's lack of agency:** He's constantly reacting to others (Jaeger, Callisto, Ethan). He needs a stronger arc and clearer motivations. * **Ethan's sudden change:** His desire to be an explorer comes out of nowhere. It needs to be set up earlier and connected to his existing personality. * **Callisto's unclear role:** She seems to switch between supportive friend and antagonist without a clear purpose. **3. Dialogue and Tone:** * **Excessive exposition:** Characters often explain things that should be obvious or could be shown visually. * **Repetitive dialogue:** "I appreciate that..." and variations of it are used too frequently. * **Inconsistent tone:** The script shifts between humor, drama, and action without a strong sense of overall tone. Some jokes feel forced or out of place. **4. Worldbuilding:** * **Unexplained elements:** How does Pando work? What are the Reapers? The world's inner workings need clearer explanation. * **Missed opportunities:** The script hints at interesting themes (environmentalism, legacy, family) but doesn't fully explore them. **Suggestions for Improvement:** * **Start with a stronger hook:** Instead of narration, begin with an exciting action sequence that introduces the characters and world. * **Develop character arcs:** Give Searcher, Ethan, and Callisto clearer goals and motivations. Explore their internal conflicts. * **Streamline the plot:** Focus on the core conflict (saving Pando/the creature) and cut unnecessary scenes or subplots. * **Build tension and suspense:** Use foreshadowing and create genuine obstacles for the characters to overcome. * **Refine the dialogue:** Make it more natural, concise, and revealing of character. * **Deepen the worldbuilding:** Provide more details about Avalonia, Pando, and the creatures. * **Establish a consistent tone:** Decide whether the story is primarily an adventure, a comedy, or a family drama and adjust the script accordingly. This script has the potential to be a fun, exciting adventure. By addressing these problems, you can create a more engaging and satisfying story.
If it wasn't for the fact that there was a screaming two year old running amok in the screening I went to, I would swear I hadn't even seen it. As for the film itself, I hardly remember it. I remember the song at the beginning, the bit on the boat where they discover the eye and a cute joke at the end about the ex wife moving on, that's it.
I like Strange World. The movie is like Indiana Jones meets Star Trek. Disney didn't market it. Strange World is better than Lightyear and Wish and all the live action remakes they've been releasing for a decade.
The first major turn off I had over this movie was the characters' names tbh. I mean, cmon, the main character is **Searcher** ?? And his dad is Jaegar? It's so on the nose it's painful. It was the first sign that the writing was gonna be weak to me, combined with the lackluster design.
I'd say the film had potential, but at least I think it has better animation and designs than Wish By the way, I think one of the reasons why the movie was a financial failure, internationally to be more precise, it's because it was released during the 2022 World Cup
It really makes me Facepalm how Poorly Executed this Movie, is it could have been something much more, the Idea of Eco-Punk/SolarPunk Movie about Ecology and Family Dynamics are not entirely Horrible on Paper, However the way it's Presented and Executed is Horrible, not to Mention how Jarringly Generic the Animation Style is, if they've gone for Full-on Hand-Drawn Animation and a more Coherent Storyline, it would have been Better. at the end of the movie scene, is a turtle ? what the heck ??? Anyway, i prefer Legend the dog actor scene, the dog is a lot better than the human actor.
Ok i admit. I did want to like Strange World. But i know coming one year after Encanto was not going to be easy peasy. The animation, lighthearted tone and old fashioned adventure are the saving graces of the film. However, i feel like the lack of stakes both physically and emoitionally as well as a thinly written script just drown out the good parts. It does have a promising start with setting up the multi generational family conflict. But when the three generations of Clades men unite, the momentum goes downhill from there but slowly. I could have just made Callisto a traditional villain where her true intentions are slowly revealed as the story progresses. I regret rushing to see the movie that Thanksgiving weekend. If Disney planned from the start to have it go to streaming on Christmas weekend, i would have waited until then. I find it hard to believe director Don Hall went from Big Hero 6 to this.
@@manuelorozco7760 The downside to having Callico as a villain is that she would’ve been a twist villain and it would’ve been frustrating for those that managed to see the film in theaters to see Disney resorting back to using their twist villain trope after seemingly having stopped using it after Zootopia. It’d feel like Disney regressing back into its twist villain phase for the sake of having a villain. Someone said Jaegar as the villain would’ve been a better choice as it would teach a harsh but real-life lesson that not all strained family relationships can be repaired and I do feel like it would be a better option than resorting to the twist villain gimmick.
Making Callisto a TRADITIONAL villain would mean that the true intentions have to be revealed at the halfway point or sooner. What you're speaking of is a "twist villain", not a traditional one.
Disney seems to have created films that cater to a niche audience, assuming this would be the future demographic. Unfortunately, that assumption hasn't proven true. I watched one of these films on its opening day, and while I thought it was okay, I soon forgot about it. The same goes for other recent Disney and Pixar films. I will admit that I found "Inside Out 2" to be decent, and I still remember it, but I have heard negative reactions to it. Personally, I didn't notice any flaws, although I do consider "Inside Out 2" to be another disappointing film of 2024. At this point, Disney needs to stop focusing on niche audiences in the film industry; it isn't working and could further damage their reputation. To put it bluntly, they are taking too many risks without thoroughly thinking them through. I completed a marathon of watching all Disney films from the beginning, and I can say that they have undergone many evolutions over their 100-year existence. The modern Disney we know today is nothing compared to what they produced in the '90s, '70s, '50s, and '20s. Additionally, their reliance on AI for storyboarding, scriptwriting, or animation will not help them either. AI is still not feasible in the industry, and it doesn’t make sense why most studio companies are gravitating toward it-only a few are, but I don't believe this is the end for animation. In fact, I think a French-style revolution in the animation industry should happen to establish a new or traditional framework for animation and filmmaking. My apologies if this didn't really answer any questions about "Strange World." All I can say about that film is that it is indeed a very strange oddity. Unfortunately, because they made the decision to cater it toward a niche audience that wasn't interested, it ended up being a unique concept that struggled upon release.

With this, maybe there could be exploration of what makes a bad father vs a good father, Searcher being the good one for accepting his son no matter what or who he chooses to be, while Diazo's father would be disappointed in his kid for choosing to work with the good guys while making some subtle snarky comment towards his own son basically saying he disapproves him being gay by saying something like "You threw all our hard work anf my legacy away for some boy....."
Diazo would literally mean something to this story and could have a character arc and Ethan also comes to terms with who he is and the two hook up for their first kiss after the conflict is solved.
I've never even seen it and it's STILL better than Wish. 💀
And to a lesser extent Raya, Frozen II and Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Basically this is my ranking of the Disney Revival films from least favorite to most favorite (I haven’t seen Moana 2, so I can’t comment on that):
14. Ralph Breaks the Internet
13. Raya and the Last Dragon
12. Wish
11. Frozen II
10. Strange World
9. Winnie the Pooh
8. Wreck-It Ralph
7. Big Hero 6
6. Frozen
5. Moana
4. Encanto
3. Princess and the Frog
2. Tangled
1. Zootopia
Actually Wish was a slight improvement. Just my two cents
Wish is also carried on just having far superior ideas alone
That's a tough one--comparing Wish to Strange World. They were equally as bad to me. But Wish was more disappointing because of how much potential it had, and that makes it a more memorable failure.
Sounds like you should watch it
To this day I still have not watched this movie and I don’t think I will at any rate.
Just like Abuelita Elena from Coco and Namaari from Raya and the Last Dragon, Jaeger Clayde never apologizes.
Actually Super Mario is on the same level as Strange World
🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓@@manuelorozco7760
@@manuelorozco7760 Nah, Super Mario at least was entertaining.
And since you mentioned Nimona: the two openly gay characters actually are treated as characters, instead of just small plot devices for a checkbox.
@@randomthoughts6680 To each their own I guess
The world building looks great! That plot twist even sounds golden. Too bad they were more focused on checking the boxes.
What boxes bfrr
It sounds like mostly the social justice boxes disney is always trying to check off
I remember Schaffrillas saying in his analysis of the film in his analysis video concerning Disney’s villainless films that Strange World’s environmental subplot would’ve been more affective if the film had a straightforward villain that wanted to exploit the titular strange world for personal gain as well as adding urgency to the climax and strengthening the family conflict and the adventure theme of the film.
Considering Strange World came out 6 years after the last Disney animated film to have a twist villain with Zootopia, if SW would’ve had a twist villain, it would’ve felt like Disney was slipping back into the habit of twist villains; and like I said, people on the internet would’ve complained about it.
personally i think jaeger clade should have been this films villian, when searcher and ethan try to save the turtle heart, jaeger comes and tries to stop them as his obession of getting across the mountains has fully consumed him as well as thinking the future of avalonian people lies beyond the giant turtle.
you know the movie really missed the oppurtunity to tell a brutal but truthful message that "sometimes not all strained family relationships can be fixed but that's okay"
@ That’s an idea for a villain I can get behind that’s not resorting to the old Disney twist villain trope.
I wouldn’t watch this movie because the characters look so ugly!!
I've passed on animations like Sym-Bionic Titan and Samurai Jack because I thought the art was ugly. But Sym-Bionic was pretty good, and I've heard Samurai Jack is really good.
I had low expectations for Strange World because it's modern Disney, and modern Disney is full of activists who can't write worth a damn..
@@chriscollins2095for me I looked into Strange World, and outside of a cameo of The Backson from the Winnie The Pooh 2011 film, I couldn’t care about Strange World at all.

This.
I think Wish had more wasted potential.
@ True
@@chriscollins2095 To each their own
Im tired of hearing that the characters suck and theyre ugly. I think its an interesting take than the usual Frozen look theyve done in the past decade. Also, the characters arent bad, to make the plot go forward all the characters repsond and interact well of eachother, for the sake of it as a family feature.
This is one of disney animated movie that upset me the most. The premise have so much potential in the world building, and visual style, and story but the result just... Meh. Also missed opportunity for not casting Dennis and Jack Quaid as the father and son duo
Strange world had it issues, but I watched it on a bus trip and absolutely fell in love with the characters and the concept. It's a shame no one gave it a try initially, myself included
There are a lot of movies that have neat concepts, and poor execution, ie all of Disney animated films over the past 4 years.
I watched it on a plane flight and honestly, it wasn't the best but was good
Right? My friend and I wanted to do something since I was in town, so we went to see it on a whim since it was the only cartoon in theaters at the time. We were the only ones in there and were lowkey expected it to just be a pleasant hangout type thing, but we ended up really enjoying it, me especially. I get why it's not people's thing and criticism about it is definitely warranted, but the characters and aesthetics felt right at home and so nostalgic for me 💖 It's definitely a comfort movie for me
I bet if the characters were real, you would marry them. Too bad they’re fictional.
When I saw the trailer for strange world I thought huh this is a neat movie and then I forgot when it came out glad I didn't watch it knowing how It turned out and that It was part of disney I swear what has become of the company I wish they burned down and go bankrupt for how many bad decisions they've been making😮💨
@@Fantasygod930 I didn’t believe it wouldn’t be worth hurting to see it in theaters. I didn’t think the way it was executed was going to get that out of hand.
Strange World is one of my least favorite Disney movies
blaming its failure for having a gay character is bizarre since I recall zero marketing around that.
frankly i recall barely any marketing period, and i live in Los Angeles, where they maximize marketing the most. The best I saw was a couple of bus stop posters with just a face and nothing saying what the movie was about. The title doesnt help either. It's too generic to be descriptive of what the films themes are.
It wasn't that strange. This is a movie with no heroes, no villain, and no real plot.
Not even an artstyle!
Forgot this movie existed
To be fair, Disney has never been the best at Science Fiction when it comes to animated films
This movie os being reocgnized as a film that shouldnt be watched beacuse its known for its lack of marketing. When its obviosly no one just wants to give it a chance
I only saw one trailer for this movie. And i still haven't seen the movie
@@TheAllSeeingEye2468 You didn’t miss out on much. Not as much as I hoped that is
Ah. This film. It exists.
@@albislopez At least I enjoyed the other films a bit more than this one. So they’ve lost a bit of their magic touch
Since pando was a weed/virus all along does that make Searcher in the wrong and Yeager correct to abandon his family as well? What would they have done if they'd stuck together and discovered the turtle at the start?
The art was nice, I didn't dislike the characters. But it was flat. If it was like atlantis it woyld have been brilliant.
I tried an experiment by asking ai the problems by copying the script and dang, ai has some accurate points:
Ai response:
This script is a wild ride! It's got a lot of heart and some interesting ideas, but it definitely needs some work. Here's a breakdown of the major problems:
**1. Pacing and Structure:**
* **Too much exposition:** The opening narration dumps a ton of information on the audience.
**2. Character Issues:**
* **Jaeger's inconsistency:** He's presented as a reckless, selfish explorer, then suddenly becomes a loving father and grandfather.
**3. Dialogue and Tone:**
* **Excessive exposition:** Characters often explain things that should be obvious or could be shown visually.
* **Repetitive dialogue:** "I appreciate that..." and variations of it are used too frequently.
* **Inconsistent tone:** The script shifts between humor, drama, and action without a strong sense of overall tone. Some jokes feel forced or out of place.
**4. Worldbuilding:**
* **Unexplained elements:** How does Pando work? What are the Reapers? The world's inner workings need clearer explanation.
* **Missed opportunities:** The script hints at interesting themes (environmentalism, legacy, family) but doesn't fully explore them.
**Suggestions for Improvement:**
* **Start with a stronger hook:** Instead of narration, begin with an exciting action sequence that introduces the characters and world.
"Oh sweet, one of my favorite bands is gonna gonna be featured in a Didney film"
*Said Didney film is strange world*
God dammit.
Can you please do a video about Disney Junior?
I like Strange World. The movie is like Indiana Jones meets Star Trek. Disney didn't market it. Strange World is better than Lightyear and Wish and all the live action remakes they've been releasing for a decade.
I actually feel the opposite. Wish and Lightyear are slightly better
Can you do a Villain Analysis on Emperor Belos?
The first major turn off I had over this movie was the characters' names tbh. I mean, cmon, the main character is **Searcher** ?? And his dad is Jaegar? It's so on the nose it's painful. It was the first sign that the writing was gonna be weak to me, combined with the lackluster design.
I'd say the film had potential, but at least I think it has better animation and designs than Wish
By the way, I think one of the reasons why the movie was a financial failure, internationally to be more precise, it's because it was released during the 2022 World Cup
I don't know man, I enjoyed it way more than Frozen 2 (so boring) or even Encanto
Encanto is way better. But to each their own
It really makes me Facepalm how Poorly Executed this Movie, is it could have been something much more, the Idea of Eco-Punk/SolarPunk Movie about Ecology and Family Dynamics are not entirely Horrible on Paper, However the way it's Presented and Executed is Horrible, not to Mention how Jarringly Generic the Animation Style is, if they've gone for Full-on Hand-Drawn Animation and a more Coherent Storyline, it would have been Better.
They could have done Better with this Shit.

Both Arcane and nimona succeded where strangre world failed for the gay representation. I'm not saying that LBGTQ representation is inappropriate for kids. Kids want something mature now. I just want good reprensantation.
actually i thought its lbgt represtation was pretty solid, they didn't make a big deal of the fact that it was a gay relationship and just treated it like normal relationship, to me that's the best kind of representation
There's a video game that does this premise just much better lol. It's called The Wandering Village. Very good.
Yeah, nobody wants "the message" in movies
I actually like this movie. Because it’s inspired by Sci Fi pulp magazines from the 60s. Every review I’ve seen never mention it.
It still could have been written better. It had interesting worldbuilding and a premise that could have worked. But I didn't care about any of the characters, so I didn't care what they were doing.
at the end of the movie scene, is a turtle ?
what the heck ???
Anyway, i prefer Legend the dog actor scene, the dog is a lot better than the human actor.
Hot take:
Wish > Strange world.
@ As tiring as I find twist villains, not sure If I 100% agree with you there
Making Callisto a TRADITIONAL villain would mean that the true intentions have to be revealed at the halfway point or sooner. What you're speaking of is a "twist villain", not a traditional one.

I've personally never had a problem with this film. It actually seems like a very solid experience.
This was the biggest leftwing propoganda film. Its like disney cant help them selves. Its the modern Song of the south.
Actually, that would be Frozen & Frozen 2.
The art style is fine.... nothing we haven't seen in the past decade. The plot is a plot. It's just the bare necessities you'd need for a movie.
The art style is only fine because a barrage of films with such a crappy style has lowered our standards.
Turns out marketing a kids movie about having a 🏳️🌈 main character isn't such a good move after all huh??
