India cannot be in the permanent UN Security Council because India is a partner of the most dangerous country in the world right now and not matter the nature of the war crimes commit for Russia in Ukraine India is blind side and don’t want to see anything and continuing defending Russia no matter what because the number one priority for India is get the best Bussines for their country and do not matter to them that the gas and petroleum from Rusia they are buying and increasing day by day are full of Ukrainian blood, as you can see India is helping a terror state to commit genocide and impose a war with no sense to invade another country for honor Putin ambitions, and all of these is supported indirectly for India . As an American, indias constant habit of playing both sides, sickens me. They could smash anyone in Asia. Instead, they bend over for anything to avoid a fight. They're decent people, but, they're as "fair-weather" as it gets. They may be a large link in the chain of democracy, but time has proven again and again that their also the weakest one.

Hi! I’m from the USA. This may surprise you but we have a generally very positive view of India. India is a democracy, which we prefer. Many of us would like to see India experience an economic miracle similar to China, we would like to diversify our risk. And we have some shared values. There are American enterprises building factories in India. We respect that you have a remarkable and long history. My Personal opinion is that India should have a seat at the table economically and Geo politically. That doesn’t mean India should join NATO I just think they’re a substantial nation and should be included.

India has succeeded with its non aligned policy since it’s independence from Britain, it wanted to forge its own path in the world and not be dominated or reliant on America or the West in general, however that policy was made over seventy years ago, the world is vastly different place now. Indias attempts to play both sides, has in the past worked well but to continue supporting Russia when it has invaded and occupied a sovereign nation, slaughtering men, women and children in the process is, I believe reprehensible and very short sighted. There is no such thing as "true" neutrality. It's fun to posture like some kind of moral-elite by "not taking sides", but both action and inaction have consequences. Further, neutrality only works when you are in a "winning" position --- as soon as India requires help, it will be remembered as a nation that chose to isolate itself for either entirely self-serving interests (i.e. leveraging NATO), or to hold some sort of artificial moral superiority. The former is insulting. The latter dispels any sympathy. Whether they take the side of NATO or Russia is for them to research and decide, but don't pretend that India doesn't share this world with the rest of us.
