I have to agree, the Halibut is too big if you don’t want a loose comfy sweater. It’s definitely not fitted. But it is beautiful! ❤❤❤❤

I love how fussy Fiona is with fit! I think after sleeves and blocking, the yoke will drape better and it will be perfect. Keep going! And if I win, I’d get ALL the pink yarn 🩷🩷🩷

I understand your point about the fish jumper , I too have this problem with that type of yoke especially when it is a thick fabric when you have a beautiful bosom you don’t want to make it look like they are growing from your neck!! sorry if I sound personal .It is beautiful but I don’t think it’s flattering to you. I would spend on pattern and yarn for cloudbow. Thank for your crazy fun pod cast. 😘

What a lovely colourful episode. If I was lucky enough to win the gift voucher it'd be a tough choice but I think I'd have to go for a redesigned needle organiser.
Congratulations on 2K+ subscribers. The Halibut sweater looks great - give it a bit of sleeve and some steam to get a true effect. I look forward to seeing that and the Wood Anemone Sweater. The Anemone Blanda color way is stunning and strikes a cord for me.

Fiona! I would recommend to keep going as long as you will wear it. It’s absolutely gorgeous. It doesn’t look too loose at the top, but I had the same issue with that type of sweater construction before, so I understand why you might feel that way. Truly, though, it looks stunning on you! 🤩

I’d love a SQ of monarda, or one of the new bug project bags! I think Fiona’s sweater definitely needs sleeves. If it were dressmaking I’d say the bust point is probably too high - I get that excess a lot in woven garments as the fullness is in the wrong place for my bust!
Thank you Lorna, that’s an interesting point! I think to get the fish pattern into the yoke a certain amount of compromise has had to happen with regards the yoke shape and where the increases have been made 🤷🏼♀️ (although I’m not a pattern designer, only my thoughts!!) I’ve decided to press on and see what happens after blocking. 😊

I think you should rip out the Halibat jumper Fiona. It is absolutely beautiful on you but if you’re not 100% happy with it you probably won’t wear it.

You didn't even need to make it a hybrid knitting/golf channel 😉 If I had £100 to spend with botanical yarn I think I'd finally bite the bullet and buy the yarn for a lady violet sweater. Or a Cecil shawl, which I love. Or a glittering snowscapes. But I would definitely need some more love heart gonk needle stoppers as my son has taken one of the ones I already have, has named it and is refusing to return it 😂😂😂

For the giveaway, I have subscribed for years and I love your podcast. I'd spend it on some yarn and one of those fab bags with the bugs on. As for the Halibut, I love it and you should finish it as it looks great and I'm not sure how you would make the colour work smaller because the motif is big with lots of stitches, maybe amputate a fin?
