    I participated in a few hectic but fun re-enactments at Tewkesbury in the late '80s and early '90s, so much fun, a super festival, your vlog brings back loads of amazing memories, thanks so much!

      With such a small boat it’s easily done. I am subscribed and even clicked the bell so I will look forward to it.

    About halfway down that canal is where the Lechlade canal will come out, at the Saul Marina. You also missed the Slimbridge Wetlands.

    Still enjoying your vlogs, I will subscribe once I've caught up. Loving the music too, especially the one with the banjo, and yes it's playing as I comment. 👍👍

      History has always been an interest of mine... I'm definitely only slightly knowledgeable though... there's just too much history to fit in one brain! M

    Enjoyed your vlog even more than usual being local to your location, thank you for explaining to everyone about the history of the end of the war of the roses ending in Tewkesbury, also the Abby being associated to so much bloodshed, it was a very violent time in history. great vlog thank you.

    Glad you found the Purton hulks, one of my favourite places in the world. It was a pity you didn't get to see a sship coming into Sharpness. It's an amazing sight, that even non boaty people are spelbound by. Love the vid's by the way.

    Purton is the graveyard for the trows,the boats used on the River Severn...
    If you ever visit Ironbridge there is the last surviving,fully renovated trow at the victorian museum...
    Michael,you make history interesting,I’d have listened if you taught at my school!!!
    Brilliant vlog again both.

    Well, that was irresistible clickbait - I’m due on the Avon in a few weeks’ time! For a second I thought I’d be stranded. I shall have to remember to book.

      Haha, sorry. We are usually terrible at clickbait, so have to take advantage when we can! Annoyingly it really works! Sorry! Enjoy the Avon, we loved it and pretty much had it to ourselves! Jo

    the war of the roses shows that normal succession of the king is fraudulent at best but can i say today's video has been so picturesque thank you cheers

    • @MinimalList
      @MinimalList  5 років тому

      Considering monarchy basically comes down to "I'm the king cause I've got the weapon" I'm not sure succession by weapon is all that fraudulent. And it's certainly more honorable than gerrymandering! M

    @ 2.30 the purton hulks, put there to slow erosion. without them the canal would have been breached by now.

      Thank you, but I'll have to leave history to the professionals ... may end up teaching the history of programming language development, one of these days, but that'll make for a very different channel! M
