no it would make more sense to have the charging port for the chargers that are faster and less expensive and use an adapter for the tesla ones. Honestly I would still go to a CCS charger first because they're faster and cheaper and if they don't work then go to a tesla charger. @@DisloyalOrder3 Adding NACS ports doesn't mean that you have to use Superchargers, the other charging networks have said that they will be adding NACS plugs. It is sad that a beautiful car like the GV60 is falling a victim of the lack of public charging infrastructure in the US. Shame on our government, shame on all car manufacturers except Tesla for not building vehicle chargers. Hats down to Elon Musk and Tesla for leading the world into the 21st century!
Well soon it'll be opened up to everyone. To be fair though Tesla got a massive influx of investor money that helped them build out the network at a huge loss (of investor money)... The government also couldn't build out their own network (although some cities do). They basically fined VW into building out the EA network. What they should have done is what Europe did which is force Tesla from the start to open up their network and use a standard port on all cars.. But as we remember the last admin in charge wasn't really keen on doing anything environmental
I like Kathy! I love her energy! And for other car manufacturers that haven't moved over the NACS, listen to what her reason for changing was. One thing and one thing only: the charging network. If you live in the suburbs, sure, you can install a L2 charger, then for the most part, it doesn't matter what EV you buy, in terms of range. But what happens when you want to drive 500 miles and are forced to rely on the crappy Electrify America or EvGo networks?
Sadly that's mostly just the initial excitement of something new. I'm sure they will make more content on how the tesla is doing longterm. There are just as many drivers switching into something else from a tesla and never looking back.
@YSJ I didn't go from a tesla to another ev. I went from a model S to a regular ICE car. But I've been inside the gv60, and various EVs from different manufacturers. So I can't tell you a direct driving impression between the model y and the gv60. All I can say is, people have said positive things about how they both drive. Which will then come down to interior quality... and I'm sorry but teslas are garbage compared to other brands when it comes to build quality. But I guess teslas are still by far the best if you consider all the superchargers available to you. If you, for some bizarre reason, do not charge at home.
So happy for you Kathy! Junebug is perfect! This was very entertaining to watch :), especially when Kathy served the contract. I laughed many times throughout the video. Thanks for being an awesome couple!

I started to watch you guys when you took delivery of the IONIQ 5, then the GV60. Sad to see you become just another Tesla family, like there are so many out on YT. Kathy’s ‘long wait’ on the Y (under 2 months) felt quite bizarro world to me, as I’m still waiting on my own IONIQ 5 preorder in Canada (since January 2022, it’s been 18 months now). Wish you all the best! I may not watch as often in the future, as I’m not the biggest Tesla nerd.
After watching your video on delay and the placing new order, we were about to do the same. Then, a few hours later, an email arrived with a delivery of June 24 to 30. We ordered the long range in Feb. and changed to the new Y in March with delivery in June/July with white seats. So it was discouraging to think how long we might be waiting. Then yesterday came the vin number. Car will come within a week! Red with white seats! We are also trading in our 1st Edition ID4 and the value kept going down. So all this happened just in time. Hey Dave. I work across the street from Tesla in Mount Kisco. I happened to walk out to our parking lot and saw you walking to pickup the Y. Best of luck with it.
Any EV manufacturer that doesn’t have someone monitoring these UA-cam EV critic channels is absolutely an idiotic company and making a huge mistake! If I were an executive at Hyundai and saw this, along with others as well, I’d see that though people/she may like the Hyundai better, she’s trading it in for the Tesla, not because it’s the better car, but primarily because of the Supercharger network, which gives her more security on her many long trips!
Guess this explains a side topic that an impressive engineering feat of a hydrogen engine will have relatively hard time selling well to make it common to the public

We just took delivery of our MYp in Bangkok last month. What was fun is that they are delivering 12 cars at a time. Tesla lined up this time, 11 cars together and invited all the new owners to show or show up at a particular time, then told us to all get in our cars and flash our lights when we were already when they noted or determined that we had all flashed our lights they started an informational program on our screens inside our cars that lasted about 22 minutes. And as informational video said, after the end, we could just simply drive away and they were our cars. This method of delivery I think is necessary because of the demand and newness of Tesla in Thailand. Suddenly, in the last month, we have six new superchargers. The new showroom/service center converted from a huge Toyota dealership is almost ready. Tesla seems to be moving at a steady pace in Bangkok and the rest of Thailand I hope.

A really Lovely couple. Feel sorry for her stepping down to a car with no parking sensors, no hud, no dashboard, no buttons or knobs, no hand adjustable air vents, and an interior by IKEA compared to the quality and luxury of the Genesis.
Congrats on the new car! 10 seconds into the Y ride, though, shows a huge difference in ride quality. Its the primary reason I went with an Ioniq5 vs the Y (that and having to fight the Y for control of the car during a test drive). However, don't you feel kinda crazy having to look for fit and finish issues with a brand new car when you get to the lot?

Congratulations on the Y! So glad it all worked out for you. So enjoyed the video and I just might be considering a white on white Y also!
Congrats! Happy for you!
I so enjoyed the excitement of the day. I am quite envious as I too ordered my car in April, unfortunately for me it was 2022! Obviously it wasn't a Tesla, it was an Ioniq 5 and also I'm in Canada. Patience is a wonderful thing! Kathy's smile was infectious and I smiled along with her😊 Thanks for the vlogs, well done.
I cannot even get my wife to drive my Model Y. Perhaps I can show her this video... Thanks for the video!
I pick up my Model Y on Tuesday... can't wait.
Kathy put her foot down! 👏 Things got real when that pen top came off. lol Congrats on the car.
Congratulations Kathy! The contract was hysterical.
Congrats. It is nice to see that they are going to only SC while in Florida since they do not have a regular charging outlet. Makes me feel like I can supercharge alittle more.
Sign me up for 'Team Kathy', you go girl! 😂👍
Yea congrats 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🍾🍾🍾🍾. We are witness to that contract 😁😁😁😁
Congratulations on the New Model Y! Is it ever a concern that if you get caught in a storm with severe hail, that it could break the glass roof?
it can. tesla uses cheap glass.
Truly happy for you guys, safe driving.
You guys are the best! Love that Kathy made you sign a prenup on camera 😆
A really Lovely couple. Feel sorry for her stepping down to a car with no parking sensors, no hud, no dashboard, no buttons or knobs, no hand adjustable air vents, and an interior by IKEA compared to the quality and luxury of the Genesis.
Congrats on your new Model Y Kathy!
That was fun. Thanks for sharing.
So happy for her!
The contract part was cute! 😂
you two are goals haha! happy youtube recommended your channel!
Picked up my Model Y at the same place in Mt. Kisco on Feb 28th of 2022. I have nearly 40k miles and not one issue. Love it! Enjoy!
Great video. Great name for the car. Best of luck. If you’re traveling down through Central Florida like to meet you both and talk EV’s
My wife loves her Y. We test drove the ID4, Ioniq5, and Mach-E, and bought the Y instead. Best value and ecosystem out of the lot.
These 2 in videos together are priceless❤,and Karen got that Tesla smile.. also,Dave your right dont bother with that gap on the hatch, they fixed mine and it caused problems somewhere else..but that door trim was ugly. Congrats Karen!! . Also i got my 3 in June of 2021,good month ,lol
I stumbled upon your channel through my “Tesla” obsession and doing “Tesla” UA-cam marathons. Can’t stop smiling watching this beautiful inspiring funny couple. Just picked up my White on White 2024 Model 3 Highland this past weekend. Love the name “cream puff” btw and thinking of stealing it if that’s ok with you😂😂😂.
I love my model Y. Off on a road trip today. No planning required. There are days when I think. Maybe a rivian or something else. But no. I have said that the charging infrastructure was a problem for ccs cars for years
GREAT VIDEO! GV60 PERFORMANCE WAS BEAUTIFUL CAR.... I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS.. SHOULD HAVE GOT KATHY A MODEL Y PERFORMANCE COME ON DAVE SPEND THE SHEKELS
