    With the Brightness value held constant, all sliders will move when I move one slider. Therefore, all colors will change when one color is modified. So if I want to modify multiple colors, will I have to create multiple Magic Mixer layers, or create multiple color masks?

    Thanks Dave. Great tutorial on a great tool. As an aside I was curious if you had any best practices for color separation. For instance, I know the new point color in ACR is great for discriminating and altering various tonal ranges in a color band to downplay/highlight a color. Is this something that can be done in the Magic Mixer or another process using TK9? T
    Thanks again for all your tutorials. They are a great learning tool.

      good question.

      The Magic Mixer allows you to change luminosity values of different colors, coupled with the Modify Color Luminosity button that is used for fine tuning the Magic Mixer adjustment. Point Color works with Hue, Saturation and Luminance while the Magic Mixer is working color luminosity. The TK9 Plug In for Photoshop has Color Masking, a very powerful color masking creator and it can be used with various Photoshop adjustments. With it you can pin point a color, just like Point Color and then alter the color in any way you like.

      As Magic Mixer is not a MultiMask output option if you want to apply colour mask to a Magic Mixer layer you can either create the layer and then make the mask in MM and output it using output as mask option, or make the mask first and output as selection and then create the Magic Mixer layer, the selection will become the mask for that layer.

      @datstheone1 2 місяці тому +1

      Also, if having set up a Colour Mask on a layer you can then use TK9 Multi-Mask Edit BlendIf to be even more precise in targeting a specific colour. Testing on a test image made up of colour swatches of full range of hues and lightness I was able to isolate an adjustment more precisely using this approach than with Lightroom's point colour on same test image.

      @@datstheone1 Thanks, I will try this.

    Here’s a thought. By using the layer mask that comes with the converted image I wonder if we could get an image that contains B&W and colour? For example, if the leaf was selected and filled with black would it remain in colour while the background goes B&W?

      It will Keith. I will be showing some cool things you can do with selections in future videos.

      While I appreciate its usefulness, I wouldn't have been able to afford it if it was 4x or 5x of its current price. Thanks to TK, his pricing is right for folks like me.
