YAHH! It's pretty rare to catch dog chase footage and despite personally experiencing how serious it can get feel in the moment you still gotta laugh about it or you never make forward progress.
@andycook7162 yeah lucky that car came along in the opposite direction. I once had a wild boar chase me up a steep hill in complete darkness- terrifying!
These get to be more and more like the old Top Gear adventure trip episodes. Now complete with leaving Lawrence behind, and an impossible-seeming roadside repair!
Love how James has gradually acquiesed to the word "flippers" across this series and is now just saying it instead of fins. Hope he doesnt get bullied by all the other divers when he goes home 🤣
Classic Thailand !! Just spent 6 weeks there cycling, brilliant … best food ever - just stop when you see a cart or roadside stall, real food by local people. 7/11 has its purpose but the roadside ‘ready meals’ are better 😊
I like how the dog pack played you with some great strategy…the first one wears you out a bit and makes you feel relaxed and distracted after they didn’t get you…while the others lay in wait for the second REAL wave of attack! 😂
James, Lawrence and Francis yous lot are the best - i know this tour of yours is not over but it's 1 of THE best cycle things I've ever watched 😍🙏😎 #enjoyguys
Francis (and Lawrence), how do you not get the camera chafing the jersey? I tried the similar setup, and the jerseys (of different brands) showed sign of wearing at the spot where the camera sits at the back within just a couple of rides. Always enjoy your content. Stay safe, keep rolling!
Really enjoying your ‘Project Thailand’. The chemistry of friendship through your adventures really comes across. The series has been a tonic through the miserable weather back here in the UK. Thanks. 😂 Could I request some information about which types of shoes and pedals the three of you are using.
You should never ride through water which is not clear. One of the bicycle youtubers I follow fell into a 1 meter deep hole construction worker had dug in the street but not secured properly. But you could also just run through a nasty pothole.
Yes, never eat in tourist places...anywhere. Food is generally better in local places. I spent a month in Thailand some time back and learned to avoid tourist locations.
Well, that video had it all, starting with a proper monsoon deluge. What a difference between the really chill dog at the 7/11, then the pack later on. Clearly those dogs plan ambushes for cyclists. James' Jar Jar Binks impression cracked me up, as does his flip-flopping between saying "poo poo" and "shit". Also, his tan-lines on his arms make it look like he's wearing a pair of tights. (It looked even more prominent in Lawrences video)
I know out would have been instantly UA-cam delisted but it would have been soooo coool to license the A-Team theme music for that segment where you repaired the bike 😂
I'm sorry I laughed so hard when you were chased by dogs multiple times. And when you're about to ride again after fixing lawrence's tailfin just to find out the road was flooded. 😂
A casual look at any weather app with 7-10 day forecast would've told you to stay away from Koh Tao. Windfinder is another good one. Thumbs up go to the lady with an old drying rack
Been thinking about youse up here in Chiang Mai, bloosy weather, that's hit south of here. South of Thai has copped it as you might guessed by now, you're goin to hav to expect a wet ride. mind you, it's brass monkeys up here, last couple days have been freezing (think summer in Skegness) and drizzle or outright rain. Neither your storms or the cold up here is seasonal, Thailand turned it on just for you lot... Mind how you go....
Hey! After you finished your trip to Phuket you should jump into the next plane and join me during my bike packing trip through Vietnam😁 Enjoy your time in Thailand and keep on going with your great work!
Had a similar experience years back in hoi an Vietnam So bad that I’d arranged to meet my wife at a bar and it turned out the only way to get to it was via a local elderly lady with a cross between a punt and a canoe who took me to the front steps in deep flooded streets Ironically the bar in question was also the dive club centre International travel at its best especially in the far east. Roughly same time of year too Plus roads all around for days were like that
Breaking News : Snakes swim Especially through the Amazon, looking for a "Prime" target. Have Francis & "footballer" Mason Mount ever been seen in the same room ? 🤔 🌧 🇹🇭 🌴🐿
@@Daniel-lc5qi I crashed out of PBP last Summer at 25mph+ downhill breaking my collar bone... also another crash on the mtb this Summer, same side... apart from a few scratches the tailfin remains in perfectly in tact. They are surprisingly resilient.. which is just as well for the price tag.
James, your bike fit videos encourage a more upright position, but most of these videos show you riding aero with your elbows on the handlebars. What’s up with that?
For some reason I really enjoyed that dog chase footage.
YAHH! It's pretty rare to catch dog chase footage and despite personally experiencing how serious it can get feel in the moment you still gotta laugh about it or you never make forward progress.
That first dog was going to catch them.
@andycook7162 yeah lucky that car came along in the opposite direction. I once had a wild boar chase me up a steep hill in complete darkness- terrifying!
Me too. I feel kinda bad for laughing but…..
I laughed pretty hard, especially after a bit of a shite day.. ✌️
These get to be more and more like the old Top Gear adventure trip episodes. Now complete with leaving Lawrence behind, and an impossible-seeming roadside repair!
agree, they definitely feel this way! Good job guys!
The filming and the sound track that accompanies these films are brilliant. Chucking it down, spray off the bikes and not a drop on the camera lens 👊👏
My favourite video so far such an adventure, the sweet lady at the cafe and the dog interval you had to do was funny 😂
Laughed out loud when the two other dogs joined the chase....
Love how James has gradually acquiesed to the word "flippers" across this series and is now just saying it instead of fins. Hope he doesnt get bullied by all the other divers when he goes home 🤣
Are the dogs for interval training?
😂😂

+Charlie-w9ur Exactly: 7/11 is junk food and street stalls can even have a star of Michellin (!)
The dog chase scene was great. I love these videos since you guys are so funny and entertaining❤️
05:00 classic dog sprint!
Pythons do swim...🤐

Cracking episode, best so far! pissed myself 🤣
Warm weather, full length fenders, disc brakes makes cycling in the rain only slightly less fun than in the dry
James, Lawrence and Francis yous lot are the best - i know this tour of yours is not over but it's 1 of THE best cycle things I've ever watched 😍🙏😎 #enjoyguys
I had a shit time in Koh Tao, this somewhat made me feel better... lol
This series is so, so good
nicely edited, the video felt sympathetic and funny, well done

All using spd gravel shoes mine are Quoc theirs are Lake 🎉
@@bbikerlawrence Thank you, appreciate you taking the time to reply. 👍
4:39 that's bafta winning conflict and resolution right there - storytelling at its best - with a twist!
That seaweed snack is super good ngl. Always bring a bunch home whenever I visit Thailand.
That was some seriously good content!

The dog chasing reminds me of the American Flyers film
That's why some people go touring on touring bikes -protective strong racks with brazed mounts ! Amazing bodge repair skills.
The big sheet was a great opportunity not wasted! Glad y'all feeling better ish. Them damn dogs 🤣🤣🤣
All hail the big sheet!, guessing it took more than one sheet to clear up
Lawrence rocking/swaying motion (type sickness) - Yeah I get that, probably quite common. Usually goes after a good sleep.
Looks like a type 2 fun day. Brilliant though, thanks for sharing.
Yes, never eat in tourist places...anywhere. Food is generally better in local places. I spent a month in Thailand some time back and learned to avoid tourist locations.
You guys are really inspiring me to go on a cycle tour of Thailand!
What's the background music around the 5:00 minute mark?
subterranean street society - sunshine island

If you find a surfboard carbon repair kit, you can use this to fix the bike! Maybe you can find this in Phuket?
Mother nature fighting back! Weather getting more wild. Tornado in Santa Cruz CA over the weekend, hold on to yer buttz.
See that hurricane on that ftench island off Madagascar. Yeah world weather is extreme
@@glennoc8585Normal!
You guys should try Pad Khra Pow pork basil with rice. Tasty. Tell them less spicy
Thank goodness James is better at fixing broken racks than securing cleat bolts. 🤣😆
what brand is jimbos jersey?
I know out would have been instantly UA-cam delisted but it would have been soooo coool to license the A-Team theme music for that segment where you repaired the bike 😂
Not making it too fun....rain, floods, pythons, trucks, dogs nipping at heels...what an adventure!
I'm sorry I laughed so hard when you were chased by dogs multiple times. And when you're about to ride again after fixing lawrence's tailfin just to find out the road was flooded. 😂
7/11 should sponsor you.😂
They are everywhere here as well. Speedway is a separate brand but wholly owned by 7-11
@ its like in Philippines. 7-11 everywhere.
Since all the tailfin racks snap, they should really entertain this idea
A casual look at any weather app with 7-10 day forecast would've told you to stay away from Koh Tao. Windfinder is another good one.
Thumbs up go to the lady with an old drying rack
where does one get a camera strap like yours? I always have trouble carrying my camera while cycling
They are apparently discontinued, from what Francis said a couple of years ago.

03:43 - funniest part of the whole trip
ThEy'RE NoT fLiPPerS, James. ThEY're FIIIIIINS!
What Laurence was experiencing in the end is usually named "land sickness"
First class bodging on the bike rack guys 👍
Blue locktite on the cleat screws….give it a try!
Well, that wet weather put a spoke in the works.
You guys are troopers.
You should definitely try the microwave food from 7/11, they are top notch delicacies
Gives new meaning to "go with the flow"
Land sickness is a thing! (after time at sea)
James is hilarous, i also wish to have the elegance to open an onigiri like he does
“Elegance”
Here's a good advice to avoid and scare chasing dogs, you can whistle loudly, that's intimidating factor for them and working mostly
@4:42 Oi. Did you just tread in my pavement art and ride off!!

Didn’t look like it was super fun, but an adventure nevertheless

You cheated
Not on this day!
The lady with the sponge @0:18…
Maybe trying to clear debris clogging up a drainage grate or something.
Pretty soon you guys will have enough footage for a "Best of dog chases"
The dog chses 😅😂😂
im going to koh tao in 4 weeks, hopefully its better by then hehe
I wasn't expecting the jar jar binks
Well that was indeed a tad moist, almost needed the snorkels for riding.
Should of stayed up north and done the Mae hong Son loop 😄
So boys, there’s probably a good chance you were wading through your own crap! 😂
Circle of life!
wet it may be … but warm wet!!!!

20ft 🙉
Rather him than me ! :)
THE last sentence!! I AM DYING😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@4:49 - just like the old joke.... Lawrence does not have to be faster than the dog... just faster than James.
Boy can’t sprint though
@@Bikefitjamesstill faster than you Boyo 😉
Thread lock for cleat bolts next time
Lucky you cleaned your bikes 😅
Wait, James brought his own pole spear to Thailand?
bye bye ,bearings ~~~

Why didn't Laurence simply put his laptop in a Tailfin pannier?
We have been asking him this the whole time
zo dat was even heftig en toen was er water en veel
Just don’t go to koh tao in november/december 😂
Epic!
This could've been easily avoided by reading the news.
Now I'm rethinking my carbon Tailfin rack
Ya this video has made my internal debate over an alloy vs carbon tailfin purchase easier

I remember how insane the dogs were in Thailand….
does anyone else use blue loctite on their cleat bolts?
