As a financial prude I talk with people all the time about them being broke. What EVERY SINGLE one has in common is a bunch of monthly payments. Car, insurance, subscriptions and everything else. Its ridiculous, it doesn't get any better and its dumb as hell. Its not even laziness its deceptive business practices.
Subscriptions are a pain to manage. Basically just a new channel system. I pay for 300 channels of crappy cable. I only use 15 channels. Getting ripped off.

I'm invested in TiVo so I'm stuck with Cable. The value of being able to skip crappy commercials is immeasurable. Streaming services with commercials is just awlful. I would pay a bundle for TiVo technology that works with streaming.
I remember when TV and radio were free, if you wanted to see a movie, you just bought a ticket, and people bought cars they afford and kept them.
You can still get free TV with an antenna from walmart but sadly there less channels ;(
We have rabbit ears in Los Angeles and pick up over 200 channels. No cable tv. We miss a sporting event or two but that's about it.@@willdavis2005
I remember going to the theater with friends 40 45 years ago and everyone clapped after the movie doesn't happen anymore since most likely it wasn't worth watching

I just paid $3.70 for a bag of ice at Ok! Yah inflation is coming down! Companies are using inflation as an excuse to make money! When is the fed going to stop it?
The icemaker in my 26.6 CF fridge broke last year, so I started buying bag ice. After a few months, I suddenly realized that all I needed to do was break out my old ice trays, duh. 4 trays in that big old freezer was all I needed until I got off my lazy butt and fixed the icemaker.

Individuals need to cancel and minimize the use and number of subscriptions services, tech has taken your music away to enforce a streaming model, now they are doing this with TV type streaming, autos are stealing your info with new models including your privacy...you get and buy nothing with subscription services don't do it, for every one you want to add, get rid of one you don't use much...

Well. When I was a kid, there was a high school class called Drivers Ed. Now, parents have to keep a log of driving outings under a bunch of conditions. It's a pain for kids and parents.

I am so tired of the nickel and diming going on so much that I am now looking out for them to the point that I will not order cheese if it is extra. One of the reasons being that they want to charge me $0.90 and I have a package of real cheese at home. The cost I paid for the real cheese is less than 4 slices of what they want to charge me. Things that I can cut out I do and that applies to tipping also. I very rarely eat out. I'm single and I order takeout. If I were to eat in and receive FULL SERVICE, I would naturally provide a tip for services rendered. If I am doing takeout, why should I pay? That service I received is part of the price I paid for my meal.
Unless we want to do a Chris Rock "I'm Going To Get You Sucker!" scene and I would gladly bring in a 20-ounce cup for my soda and containers for my food. They are already making us bring in our own grocery bags. This isn't that far off from that in my opinion.
Now's the time to cancel that subscription to Fox Nation!

We need an alternative transportation infrastructure that allows people to not have to own expensive cars, and be responsible for insurance, and tax payments, and maintenance. It's a one-sided system that also does not serve public health. Thus, they are not all lazy. Some don't want to be stuck in traffic, like their parents, live on deb, like their parents, be unhealthy, like their parents. Consider the facts. Most Americans are in major consumer debt, including driving cars they cannot afford. Why do you blame a new generation that says all this is a bit one-sided and insane?
Consider joining a Mennonite,Hutterite or Amish community

Cars are expensive to buy and own. This is the main reason. Add on Insurance and gasoline is killing with high inflation.
Buy used, pay cash, and learn to work on it yourself. There are UA-cam channels devoted to this and people act like it's a revolutionary concept.

What do vegans think is going to happen to all the animals? They will no longer be bred, kept and cared for. Cows and chickens are not pets. If meat alternatives were fully embraced the animals will eventually die off except for the few pets that the odd person will keep!
