I actually am late to this party but I got this version today! Thank you for the review so many years later! I will always love the 1981 Halloween II film! I know it’s not liked as much in the overall franchise and even Carpenter wasn’t a fan of this story for Halloween II I believe but all that said, it’s a gem watching this film every spooky season with popcorn and just enjoying the nostalgia of the aesthetics of that time period.
Such amazing detail in these NECA "Ultimate" figures. To include Ben Tramer's eyes, and to color them blue; to include crevices in the scalpel and finger nails on all of the interchangeable Michael hands...that's some dedication! Love that box art and jack-o-lantern too! It's funny, my first thought about the van that Tramer got plowed into was that it was a supply & delivery van for a local business, like the Howard Hardware one in Teen Wolf. Didn't realize it was a hippie van. Thanks for clarifying that. I love that Dick Warlock got to play the officer who ran into Ben Tramer!
And I thought the previous one by them was amazing lol. This one just blows it out of the water. Until seeing them side-by-side, I didn't realize how much more the new one captures the look (what my mind thinks) of Michael Myers. The bleeding eyes head will definitely be the one I'm going with. And that pumpkin accessory is one of the best inclusions with any action figure; even the syringe. It's all such a thing of beauty.
100% agree Halloween II is my favorite Michael Myers look as well. Unfortunately NECA left out the weathering on the mask but I added it myself and now I'm very happy w the figure.
Yeah, I thought about trying to add the "T" that runs from the corner of his eye to the left of his forehead. It's too bad, because all the images I saw of the figure, including the images on the back of the box, have that weather, but the actual figure doesn't.
I know man I was pretty bummed they didn't add the weathering when it's all over the prototype and images on the box like u said. I actually used black acrylic paint and blacked out his eyes and took a toothpick and dipped the end in sum paint and subtly added the "T" and also added a little on his nose. Luckily it turned out great! I used my Cemetery Gates Warlock mask as a reference when I was doing it.
@ULTIMATEbudokai3 No I'm only on Twitter and I only really use it to keep up with things I'm into. But if u want u can look me up and dm me and I'll send u some picks of my Myers figure 👍. My Twitter account is @un_dead89
Very nice 🎃 Halloween II is definitely a classic. Thanks for sharing and don't forget to watch the original Halloween in theatres in October. They're bringing it back 😘
Would love it if NECA came out with a three-pack of Lynda, Laurie and Annie. Probably my favorite assortment of slasher movie stalkees! An ultimate Halloween II Dana Carvey as the news reporter"s assistant would be cool too!
That's exactly what I said when I got mine he's a little poofy in the jawls.but from the side and just a little off center he looks amazing neca killed it.
The NECA Ultimates are hard to beat, fr. I don’t have that particular figure but I have the Mike Ultimates from the new Halloween movie. Definitely want that one now. Good video! Subbed
I really hope that NECA will release the Michael Myers from the original 1978 Halloween 🎃 film but a ultimate Michael Myers from the original Halloween 🎃 that will be so cool 😎 to own
Actually, the company that made that figure strictly kept it accurate to the film because, the first actor who played The Shape in H1 didn't comeback so, they replaced him with a guy named Dick Warlock. Now, this guy got bigger head or face and that's the reason why his mask was stretched. Especially his nose. Dick's nose was a little bit huge. It's actually cool to see that detail in the figure making it accurate both to the film and real life.
Oh this figure is simply exquisite. I remember when I saw the first publicity shots for this guy and noticed they included that Ben Tramer head. On a list of things I never knew I needed until it was provided LOL. My one and only gripe (aside from my waiting time because I pre-ordered mine through BBTS) is that I'm not the biggest fan of the head sculpt. I think that might be because the mask(s) here is surgically clean and bereft of the dirt and shading from the film. These heads are picture perfect for recreating the mask from the first film, but Warlock's outing needed a little something extra, I think.
I agree the head sculpt is a little odd and the mask lacks the weathering from the movie. It's a shame, because all the images of the figure, including those on the back of the box, have the signature Halloween 2 weathering, while the actual figure does not.
So interesting that Nick and Dick are averaged height guys. It's hard to imagine such an iconic slasher character starting off not like a big pro wrestler. Now, it's all about making these characters gigantic. It's like they're compensating for something..
@@pizowell I'm hoping they release some B List slashers like Tall Man, Candyman, Herbert West, and the Wishmaster. It would also be nice to see a Pamela figure as well.
So every review I’ve seen so far, most everyone addresses the wonky head sculpt. Neca can be hit/miss with their ultimates. Still a cool figure! I might repaint mine.
Ahhh man you are tempting me Pizzo! I kinda wanna buy this even tho I never been a figure guy. I hope target has this! Michaels head looks tubby on the first head
Does anyone plan on taking that Ben head and giving it a repaint, to look more like the original Myers? I know the hair is a little too wild (plus the inclusion of sideburns), but I think I'd look great. Who knows when we'll be getting a '78 Myers. If Mezco can make one, why not NECA? Guess it has something to do with the Mezco ones price point, and not being sold at Target. Maybe they could release it as a con exclusive. Piss off a lot of fans, then eventually be able to sell it in stores - i.e. Target. It's not like I see any of this stuff at any other places..besides a local comic book shop.
The reason it was chubby looking is because Dick Warlock's head shape was more round than Nick Castle's. It's the same mask that was used in Halloween (1978) it just looks different because it was in a shoe box, underneath Debra Hill's bed and obtained a yellowish tinge from her always smoking cigarettes. Three years will fuck up latex to the point where it doesn't look like the original mask.
wasn't his coveralls green in the movie? they just look blue. I think it gives more of a Jude feel, sadly, not feeling a lot of II. The mask was much more dirtier and his body tone much more young and slender.
All you nerds cry too much....this figure looks as accurate to movie as it can get. Looks better than the prototype. The prototype doesn't look as accurate as the actual figure.
It doesn't matter how it looks compared to the prototype. It matters how accurate it looks to the movie, and it is absolutely a bit off from what people have come to expect from NECA, but it's fine. NECA have produced some extremely movie-accurate figures. I guess we "nerds" just need to lower our standards to your level.
the main issue with the figure is the neck, head on, is far too wide. what made michael look so unique in the movie was that high collar and the slender physique. the other thing is the profile - his features are way too flat. look at michael side-on in that scene where he's blinded - the nose and the jaw have a prominence to them because of the way warlock's face distorted the mask. that's just not reflected here. however, it's a solid figure, i just wish they nailed the prototype.
I like Halloween 5 Michael Myers. I heard many complaints about his appearance and the whole movie but I actually enjoyed both. His appearance was creepy and bulky and the suspense at his home was very high especially if you've never watched it. The only funny thing is how his appearance changes from the end of Halloween 4 to 5 since it takes place the same night of the explosion
This is the 2nd video I've watched dealing with this figure, the first vid I definitely noticed something a bit off with the regular head.. It doesn't quite match the box photo. The box photo is the spitting image of the mask in the movie. This saddens me a bit. 😔
That is one nice looking Michael Myers
I agree, there is something off about the mask...plump was a good descriptor....just seeing this now as I am just getting into collecting
I'm getting this figure for Christmas

I just want my H6 Ultimate, one can dream lol. From my understanding NECA reused the arms and thighs from 2018’s Myers. Same can be said for Roy.
Baldy Jack you and me both
I'd love an Ultimate Halloween 6 Myers figure, too!
Great video, the figure looks Amazing
It was not an ambulance, but people combine the cop car and the van in their heads which equals an ambulance lol.

I have this one but I don’t know how to put the knife on his hand can the hand to use scarfel can use the knife also ?
Yes it fits in that hand
I wish they made more of the side characters from the Halloween movies😢
Actually the Part 2 Myers mask was a little chubby when compared to Part 1. I'd say it's movie accurate.
The reason it was chubby looking is because Dick Warlock's head shape was more round than Nick Castle's. @@TheShape. Thank you, I forgot about that.
Its alittle too chunky though. Like if the head isnt scaled to the body correctly.
The h2 head looks good on the 2018 michael body though.
Cool intro
Yeah he diffently had a bit of the munchies in this one, looks good though and still better detail then the h1 cult classics version, h2 is the best
I just had to pay the extra money and get this off of NECA's eBay store. Who knows if and when it'll show up at a local Target.
wasn't his coveralls green in the movie? they just look blue. I think it gives more of a Jude feel, sadly, not feeling a lot of II. The mask was much more dirtier and his body tone much more young and slender.
No, I'm pretty sure the coveralls were blue.
They were spruce green
