Loved this. Me and my brother had the action figures. He had Bravestar, i had Tex Hex a d the Horse (something 30-30)

You know what i would have to concur. It won't be unlikely that AI is the beginning of the downfall of this civilization.
@@retrotoonsrewind I think AI has the potential to be more human than human. My mom was a psychologist, and studying consciousness is my jam. We got two ways it could go. One, we make an infinitely self replicating industrial AI that kills us due to an error in its cost effectiveness protocols. Two, we make AI that is just us, but better. At which point, that's our... sort of our child, as a collective species. It might kill us all, it might not, but it will surpass us, as we usually want of our children. I'm less concerned about AI, and more any throttled thinking machine at the mercy of whatever human or group controls it. So really, in the end, it'll always be humans that are their own worst enemy. But that's also our greatest strength. Never completely remove the ability for a population to fight or rebel, you will kill progress and your society will stagnate. China and Japan are two very good examples of this, where their insular nature and social conformity led to long periods with very little change in technology or culture. Sometimes, winning a war is a death sentence.
@@ashwhiteforest9078 Thank you for your insight on these. I think they are valid points. I am just worried at how AI will affect the system we have in place. Not that it cannot be improved with AI. But I am worried at how lightly the next generations will look at how much hard work on self improvement will be impacted with technology that is easily accessible and can spoon-feed almost anything that we, as human beings, have potential for. Moreover, the collection of data of AI are based on collected data on technology can only go so far back as history has allowed us to record. And I see this as limitation up to a certain point. AI I know can and might evolve into something greater but on the other side of the spectrum I think the human race will become it's slave without humanity realizing that they have become a prisoner in the very thing that they have created.
@@retrotoonsrewind Every generation will face stranger challenges than the one before. The old ways always give way to the new. The one who enslaves us of our own volition or ignorance is the master of war, and won without even fighting. Such a master would be the most ideal master. Only a god could accomplish such a thing. And to fear a god is to fear the sum of oblivion, when all is futile, and even the desire to resist leaves the body. Such a thing is death; none escape. It is awe in the face of the divine. The best thing one can do is put this master to task. If they win, they deserve our adoration. But if even after the war, unrest stirs within us, the master has not won, and deserves not that title.
Brilliantly said! And I think that the next generation might find themselves under the next master more out of ignorance than out of its own volition. We can only live in this one and leave the world to how it will craft itself. Let's see if any one of the old cartoon shows we had would have given a glimpse of what will happen next.
