Totally agree. I spend more time on my eyes then I need to. Have more palettes than I need and my makeup almost always comes out the same with me being somewhat satisfied. Maybe I should start switching to single shadows more?
Look, I wear a different color of the rainbow every day on my eyes and do extravagant glam looks to go grocery shopping and don’t care much for brown eyeshadow. Yes! I watch other channels hosted by MUAs, and I do enjoy them. But Jessica's looks are things I can actually pull off, and I trust her reviews specifically because she's not using tricks of the light to make things look better so she'll get more free stuff from the brand. 90% of the time I just put my bronzer in the crease, and that's my eyeshadow for the day. She's shown that it doesn't take long to add a little shimmer with your finger, and after a little liner that's "glammed up" a tad for me. Between that and her general personality (so refreshing!) and the lifestyle stuff, I'm a forever fan.
I just want to say as a new Mother you have still managed to improve your channel. Which is amazing since being a Mom is a full time job in itself!👏👏👏😍

Ive come to that same conclusion as I wear more makeup. That my preference is brown but because of all these beauty youtubers wearing all these pretty colorful eyeshadow looks I feel the need to buy a colorful eyeshadow palette I'll probably never use??? 😂
@@4booky831- I use my same old Smashbox duo (brown and offwhite.... sooo boring lol) that I got in a box set like 2 years ago as a gift.... while all my palettes get passed over! So, while I do get excited over all the colorful pallettes, as you said, they wouldnt ever get used.
One of the main reasons that I like watching your videos is because you are kind of a calm/neutral tone. I know that sounds weird, but sometimes UA-camrs are just real hyper or loud or fit to into the mold of "I have to fit into this hip crowd." You are not like that. You are who you are and that is what I appreciate about you and your videos. Because most of the time, truth be told, I am not in the mood for colorful backgrounds or hearing "I'm shook" five hundred times in ten minutes.

Tonya Renee yes I honestly don't understand why people buy most drugstore things at ulta they're usually 2 or $3 dollars higher an item and I'd rather use my points on more expensive stuff and buy maybelline and ww at Walmart! Unless there's a super good sale and even then u usually have to buy 2 or 3 things from the same brand and it ends up being the SAME price it is at Walmart anyway. Like nyx,morphe or mur I cant get at Walmart or occasionally something they don't carry but I will go to 3 Walmarts first trying to find it lol
I'm so glad other people have noticed that! I bought a physicians formula mascara at Kroger and it was $7, went to buy the same mascara at ulta and it was $10. They absolutely mark up drug store make-up, but I don't get why.

I love the way you do your eyeshadow Jessica! You know what looks good on you and what you like to wear. There is something to be said for that. I tend to wear the same tones too. I’m very fair toned and certain colors look best on my eyes, cheeks, and lips. That’s just how it is. I’ve been watching Jessica for several years and I have learned a lot, she may not be a makeup artist but she has taught this 42 year old new techniques and what products may be best for me.
I think many of us love to watch your videos because you are very relatable. While I enjoy colorful looks, I really look for something that is easy, gets me out the door fast, and at the same time makes me look polished for everyday. I think your videos touch on a lot of that and that is exactly why I love your channel!

I just watched a video on tips for concealer and fine lines. She first starts off with a jade roller then an under eye cream. She uses her finger to apply the concealer. The key is to use small amounts at a time. Less is more. Then she gets the all nighter setting spray and sprays her sponge a couple times on each side (pointy part and round part, then squeezes both sides a couple times to soak in the spray) and goes over the concealer she blended in with her fingers. Then sets it with a small amount of powder. Her eyes look so good!
I have five kids, (oldest 11, youngest 2 year old twins) and hooded eyes and I LOVE your shadow style! It's what drew me to your channel! I love that you keep it simple and keep it real and focus on all aspects of the face without a heavy emphasis on eyes. My eyes are the least of my makeup concerns. You're just awesome to watch, I feel like I'm hanging out with a friend. I just leave your channel running when I'm cleaning or organizing or decluttering so.....THAT'S why people watch your channel. My ride or absolutely die single eyeshadow is that L'Oréal shadow. The one you shared but in the color "Paris on the beach" it's a super pigmented cream color that I use all over my lid as a base..no other shadow brightens my lid as much as that...CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT
Some automatic pencils have a sharpener in the bottom end. Kind of hidden and a lot of people don't know about them. Check that one and see. It could be a game changer for you. :)

The cover girl exhibitionist works best for me when I use a lengthening mascara underneath and a small coat over top! I use the cover girl clump crusher (one of my ride or die faves) with exhibitionist over top. Give it a shot, it made me fall SO in love with the duo. Keep being you girl, you’re a ray of sunshine ❤️

That Burt’s Bees bronzer looked like a shimmery bronzy highlighter! My favorite cream bronzer stick is Benefit Hoola Quickie contour stick , blended in with Chanel soleil Tan de Chanel ...🌷🌸💕🌸🌷. Gonna try that Covergirl concealer!
I recently got punctual plugs in my tear ducts and am also trying Xiidra. The plugs are painless and a game changer for dry eye. Already my “tear film” has improved. Highly recommend! 👁

Absolutely love it. Then, since she had you try the Joah foundation, and knowing you both have dry skin as I do, I got that too. They work great together. I'm on my 2nd tube of The Exhibitionist Mascara. It's one of my favorites for an everyday look. The Covergirl concealer sounds good. That will be next on my list! I think you would like the NYX bright idea illuminating sticks. I used the darkest shade as my bronzer for the longest time as well as the Chardonnay color as my highlight. I got compliments on them a lot when I wore them, especially the highlight! Just thought I should share since you’re on the hunt for a Creme bronzer from the drug store ☺️

I have a similar skin tone to you. I first bought the Maybelline Urban Cover in Porcelain, and it was too light for me. I got a second tube in Natural Ivory, and it’s a match.
Responding to the comment about why would someone watch you. I watch you because you are REAL. You still value money. You don't take advantage of your influence. You only do sponsorships with brands you genuinely love their products. You don't pop off on social media saying things you probably should have never said. You are goofy, silly, kind, and warm. I relate to YOU, Jessica. I watch every single video you upload because I feel like I'm listening to a voicemail a friend left me. I watch your videos because you remind me to stay positive, be grateful for what I have, and have fun with makeup. I typically wear more colorful eyeshadow than you do but who cares if you don't like to wear more colors on your eyes! It's what you like and what you feel comfortable with. We watch you because we relate your personality. I still remember the video where you mention that you are out of breath because you ran downstairs to eat some cheese.

Personally, I watch your content because you're relatable! I'm not a makeup artist either, so your content is similar to my own tastes and lifestyle. FYI my local Walmart has testers! Products are also SEVERAL dollars cheaper than the drug store side of Ulta.
I have always wondered if Ulta marks up the drugstore items because of the $3.50 coupon because even Target is cheaper.
Tonya Renee yes I honestly don't understand why people buy most drugstore things at ulta they're usually 2 or $3 dollars higher an item and I'd rather use my points on more expensive stuff and buy maybelline and ww at Walmart! Unless there's a super good sale and even then u usually have to buy 2 or 3 things from the same brand and it ends up being the SAME price it is at Walmart anyway. Like nyx,morphe or mur I cant get at Walmart or occasionally something they don't carry but I will go to 3 Walmarts first trying to find it lol
I'm so glad other people have noticed that! I bought a physicians formula mascara at Kroger and it was $7, went to buy the same mascara at ulta and it was $10. They absolutely mark up drug store make-up, but I don't get why.

My daughter recommended Ulta face sculpting color stick in med. Warm. It is taupe shade when blended. I've repurchased about 5x. I'm fair/neutral.

Not only that, but you are extremely personable and fun to watch. I am not shocked at all about how great your following is!
I love the way you do your eyeshadow Jessica! You know what looks good on you and what you like to wear. There is something to be said for that. I tend to wear the same tones too. I’m very fair toned and certain colors look best on my eyes, cheeks, and lips. That’s just how it is.
I’ve been watching Jessica for several years and I have learned a lot, she may not be a makeup artist but she has taught this 42 year old new techniques and what products may be best for me.
I think many of us love to watch your videos because you are very relatable. While I enjoy colorful looks, I really look for something that is easy, gets me out the door fast, and at the same time makes me look polished for everyday. I think your videos touch on a lot of that and that is exactly why I love your channel!

You’re not a terrible youtuber. You’re literally the most honest UA-camr out there. All of your recs that I’ve bought have been excellent.
I just watched a video on tips for concealer and fine lines. She first starts off with a jade roller then an under eye cream. She uses her finger to apply the concealer. The key is to use small amounts at a time. Less is more. Then she gets the all nighter setting spray and sprays her sponge a couple times on each side (pointy part and round part, then squeezes both sides a couple times to soak in the spray) and goes over the concealer she blended in with her fingers. Then sets it with a small amount of powder. Her eyes look so good!
I have five kids, (oldest 11, youngest 2 year old twins) and hooded eyes and I LOVE your shadow style! It's what drew me to your channel! I love that you keep it simple and keep it real and focus on all aspects of the face without a heavy emphasis on eyes. My eyes are the least of my makeup concerns. You're just awesome to watch, I feel like I'm hanging out with a friend. I just leave your channel running when I'm cleaning or organizing or decluttering so.....THAT'S why people watch your channel. LOL!
I mix the flower blushes in pinched and bubbly and it makes a great color!

My ride or absolutely die single eyeshadow is that L'Oréal shadow. The one you shared but in the color "Paris on the beach" it's a super pigmented cream color that I use all over my lid as a base..no other shadow brightens my lid as much as that...CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT
Try the Jordana blush, bronzer, and highlight sticks. I found them at Walgreens!!
Some automatic pencils have a sharpener in the bottom end. Kind of hidden and a lot of people don't know about them. Check that one and see. It could be a game changer for you. :)

The cover girl exhibitionist works best for me when I use a lengthening mascara underneath and a small coat over top! I use the cover girl clump crusher (one of my ride or die faves) with exhibitionist over top. Give it a shot, it made me fall SO in love with the duo. Keep being you girl, you’re a ray of sunshine ❤️

That Burt’s Bees bronzer looked like a shimmery bronzy highlighter! My favorite cream bronzer stick is Benefit Hoola Quickie contour stick , blended in with Chanel soleil Tan de Chanel ...🌷🌸💕🌸🌷. Gonna try that Covergirl concealer!
I recently got punctual plugs in my tear ducts and am also trying Xiidra. The plugs are painless and a game changer for dry eye. Already my “tear film” has improved. Highly recommend! 👁

Hi Jessica. I'm new to your channel, coming over from ThaTaylaa's channel. I wanted to thank you for having her use the essence glowy primer. Having dry skin, I went out and bought it the next day. Absolutely love it. Then, since she had you try the Joah foundation, and knowing you both have dry skin as I do, I got that too. They work great together.
I'm on my 2nd tube of The Exhibitionist Mascara. It's one of my favorites for an everyday look. The Covergirl concealer sounds good. That will be next on my list!

I think you would like the NYX bright idea illuminating sticks. I used the darkest shade as my bronzer for the longest time as well as the Chardonnay color as my highlight. I got compliments on them a lot when I wore them, especially the highlight! Just thought I should share since you’re on the hunt for a Creme bronzer from the drug store ☺️

Get punctal plugs in your tear ducts....it stops the tears from draining, and keeps your eyes moist. I had it done when I got lasik surgery.

Right now I'm just using the loreal bb cream ,using essence blush , tarte amazion bronzer in -- princess, covergirl eyebrow pencil in rich brown, L'Oréal voluminous mascara in the color maroon, colllab setting powder , and hard candy plumping serum gloss ,a small eyeshadow pallete from sleek makeup and covergirl setting spray.
