Nice tutorial, appreciate it man.
does the quality change if it exports directly from your phone with d-log? the quality of my clips looks so terrible and I can't seem to figure out why
Why use an adjustment layer on each clip rather than colour correct the clip direct and then on adjustment layer for grade?
Good question! Yes, you can easily apply correction at clip level. The reason I do it this way is more preference. 1) It makes demonstration much clearer and easier to visually follow along with when you can see all the layers. 2) It allows me to add clips underneath from the the same scene and easily make a bulk correction adjustment (If they are same scene and locked settings as I like shoot). 3) When you advance to "Davinci" everything is node based. No adjustments are applied at clip level but on a node by node. Separating them into layers is the closest thing to this so it's a good way of thinking and habit to get into early. Either-way if you prefer and are more comfortable to add at clip level, then that is totally fine too. Hope that makes sense ✌
@@FlatPackFX I got DaVinci and i love the node based editing!
Excellent video! I just got my first drone, out of fear to crash it I chose a cheaper one than a DJI, I got myself a HolyStone HS720R using a very good deal on Amazon, the camera sensor and the footage is not as nice as the DJI ones but after playing around with some video editing software I've noticed that you can make it look so much better. I will eventually get myself a DJI at some point, mainly for the 4K 60fps and way better tracking mode on the drone itself. But this video shows how much better you can make drone footage look, even from a DJI drone's standard recording settings it's a dramatic increase.
The raw footage of my drone was a bit flat, but this video, among othrs have restored my hopes of getting nice shots from my HS720R until i am going to spend more on a DJI.
Thanks for this video, very helpful!
Thanks for sharing your setup. I think you have made a good choice, once you build up your flying confidence in no time you can look at upgrading. Most of the dji drones come with obstacle avoidance now which can massively help avoid crashes. Best of luck with your new setup!
Found it very useful
But what was the shortcut u used to expand the adjustment layer while color grading in premiere pro
Thanks mate, I just manually expanded it and just jump cut the video at that point.
