I think it’s worth it because it’s a discontinued bike and if you were to buy a brand new bike and doing all the stuff you did it would probably exceed what you’ve spent and also all the components look better than new ( used parts )and all the new stuff as well so its definitely worth it in my opinion
i restore 2 strokes as a hobby and i spend well well over 10k before i even look at aftermarket suspension and billet parts so 15k is easily done. some people think that because its a 2 stroke its cheap to rebuild properly but they could not be further from the truth
So clean, love the look! Pipe, suspension, graphics make a really nice package. Appreciate the shout outs! I’ll throw a head on the giveaway bike if you get the likes. I tapped in
The 06 kx look is timeless one of the best looking bikes ever. but the 125 looks a bit outdated now with the old shape plastics, because of kawi updating the new bikes it kinda needs to be updated every time to keep the new look. Still looks mint tho
For 15k your KX250 looks freaking fantastic!! All except that dent that sticks out big time in the side of the pipe. If you're spending that much, I would have either got that popped back out or a new pipe. I didn't watch the build video. If you already talked about. I know it doesn't effect performance any. It's just with everything else looking so good. Even the black paint missing from the lettering plate that welded on, idk that just sticks out to me.
Looks great man. Honestly not surprising but well worth it I’m sure. I’m doing a frame up on my old 01 yz250f and even with the motor being fresh and ready to rock already (it’s been ridden and well maintained for 20 years) I’m still looking at 15 plus for the build I want to do. Again. Well worth it for something you love. 90s and early 2k bikes are great machines still and deserve saving. 🤙🏻 blast some berms brah. Enjoy it. Money well spent. 🤘🏻💪🏻👊🏻

sad part is people like me that like riding but don’t build myself would have to pay labor to a shop. Bike build just went up to 19k😩😢☹️#great bike and video!
I know someone may have already asked this question but, what kind of wheels and hubs did you use and did you use the OEM axels with the new wheels? I’m in the middle of rebuilding my ‘98 KX and I’m in need of a new set of wheels for it. My parts list is at close to $5K!! Thanks and GREAT looking bike!!
Wow! I just made a parts list for my 96 KX250 and it was closer to $3000(not including purchasing the bike and what ive got into it already). I'm not into all the anodizing and titanium bolts though. I'm just going to go through the engine and bearings, lace up my own wheels, get some new plastic and graphics. Race tech the suspension and call it awesome. I already love the powerband so I'm not modifying anything.

If your going to foresure sell it then no definitely not worth everything you did but if it's something your going to keep forever and ride then hell yea it's 100% worth it
@@TylerMonagan yeha but you didn’t have any of that, can’t remember what you paid for the bike but that bike shouldn’t have cost more then 6-7k at best, nothing special the most expensive thing on their is the suspension which worked out the price and should have cost just under a $1000, maybe next time don’t spend 3k on oem parts when you simply can have the exact same thing after market 🤦🏻♂️

This ain’t meant to be hate and nothing against u but at what point does it become a custom built bike and not a kawasaki because the only thing you kept was the frame swingarm subframe and engine other than that everything has been replaced like you said nearly every bolt replaced, new wheels and tires, suspension, bearings, chain, bars, triple trees, plastics, full engine internals, and Vapor honing (I know it isn’t custom to do it factory but it still defeats the purpose when you degrease and Vapor hone everything)
I think it’s worth it because it’s a discontinued bike and if you were to buy a brand new bike and doing all the stuff you did it would probably exceed what you’ve spent and also all the components look better than new ( used parts )and all the new stuff as well so its definitely worth it in my opinion
Well worth it knowing you built that yourself. Looking forward to seeing you shed on that beauty.
Wow, you put a lot of work into that! Looks great man, can't wait to see you ride it!
Looks good man!
Those T.E axle blocks is the same as bubba and factory kawi used in 05 wich is pretty neat!
Wonder if I can just buy bubba's 125 from pro circuit. That'll be an awesome piece to own 🔥
