Can anyone with any boat enter and join in with these runs? I'm not talking about some jon boat with a 15 on it, but something like a Donzi Sweet 16, or a 20' CC, or something of that sort.
HELLO, valid question - anyone can join Florida Powerboat Club- with or without a boat. We have social membership program for $ 100 annual. But with respect to going on our runs, you just need to have a powerboat that is suited for the conditions of the event. A Donzi sweet 16 is kind of small compared to our average 35' boats, but I would say about 25 feet is entry level from some of our runs, where we are not going in the open ocean. thanks hope that helps!
@@FLpowerboatClub I appreciate the reply. The question came up when my wife and I were halfway joking about showing up in a 90 hp Thundercat.
I know a guy who did the key west run in I believe a 22ft boat.
