Thanks for this video and this helped my final stacking parameters to give a much better final image. I have recently updated my W!0 system to SSD and 32gig memory and much better now with no crashes.
Yes, there are two ways: First, you can gradually prefer or suppress upper or lower frames in your stack (under 'Set stacking parameters'). Second, with 'Hologram stacking' (under '3D view') you set a contrast score threshold of structures to appear visible, together with a pre-selected viewing angle one can display any structures present in your stack (e.g. bottom view etc.). Structures above the minimum contrast from every layer can be exported , e.g. for 3D printing...
Hi jonz, thanks for your question! PICOLAY saves stacking results automatically in the folder that also contains original images. The file names describe the stacking parameters used. Watch other videos, e.g. Tutorial #1 to see how this works... :)
I normally use 20 or even >50 images with small step-by-step differences. Those sets will be aligned correctly and give better stacking results. Good luck!
Your tutorial is as intuitive as your software. Thanks.
Great tutorial ! Easy to understand and apply. Use it for macro pictures.
Hi im just starting with photo stacking. Like your reviews thanks

Excellent video, very helpful! Minor suggestion for improvement: some of the slide text is cut off by your video box in the lower right corner.
Is there a way to adjust stacked image opacity?
