- Talk about gender reveal!...
The tool used is a WidgetWorks spring-loaded diamond engraver. I was very impressed with the result of this engraving tool. You can view it here: www.WidgetWorks...
There are amazing things you can do with an ultrasound (sonogram). When I was considering a craft idea for my daughters sonogram, I had no idea I would venture into engraving it on glass. And it turned into a business/ Now I make sonogram glass etching with lighting for mom's, or soon to be moms, who want something extra special done with their ultrasound.
If I had to review Bobscnc E4 CNC router now, I am utterly surprised with this unit. I never expected to see these results. I will have to do another review video on this unit. It has outperformed what I ever thought.
When my daughter realized what I was doing her mind immediately went to Maddox, her third son who passed away. she asked if I could do something like this. Always to take on a challenge and appease her hurting heart, I dared to make it happen.
this is not the final project but damn close.
this engraving was done on 1/8" glass plate
this was done on bobsCNC evolution 4, or e4 CNC router with the widget tool 120-degree diamond engraving tip. the design was on vcarve desktop.
If you think you can, you can.

Bill, you are so welcome my friend.
I would love to be able to do this for my daughter,,,I have tried but there seems to be more to it than meets the eye.Great video
Hi Paul. I will be doing a video on this very shortly!
Did you ever get around to it? I've scrolled through videos twice now and can't seem to find it....
Thank you for making this video. Our heart felt sympathy goes out to you and your family.
We lost our first grandson who was born prematurely and the only memories we have is the scan before he died.
I would love to make this for our family as a reminder of the little one who passed away.
It's been a rough couple of years loosing so many dear and close friends to Covid but this loss is so very deeply felt.
If you could make a video of how this is done I am sure that many people would be very great full.
Thank you again.
Please Stay Safe.

Bill, I am sorry for your loss brother. That can be really tough but I am happy to hear that you have the scan to remember him. Check out this video, I show you how to make it step by step: ua-cam.com/video/qmafPyMkWHU/v-deo.html
I think projects like this really bring people together to remember the good times when things are rough. When you make it, it will definitely bring your family a lot of solace and remembrance that it sounds like you all need right now.
That's all some
Reddsmorris, glad you liked this one brother!
EXCELLENT!dID YOU CONVERT TO AN svg?
I haven't figured out how to do that with V-carve. It doesn't give me the option to save that format. Do you know?
Hi, great project even though the reason for starting this is quite sad and I am wishing you and your family to have all the best.
Like others I would also like to see a how to video about this.
Regards from the Netherlands
Jasper from the Netherlands! Thank you for your heart thoughts.
My friend, I've had a lot of requests for this so it's moving to the top of the list.
What meaningful cnc project do you have on your plate???
Do you have some program for cnc router for gllas cuting machine is beveloni mts42
Woah man! Nice CNC Armin! Im sorry but I dont have anything to help you with that industrial CNC. Sorry I cant help on that one. Have you considered talking to Bavelloni on what software works best for their machine?
Sorry for your loss. I would love to make one of these, have you mad a video on the proses yet?
Hi Doug. Haven't done a video yet. It is quite tedious to make. But I've had enough people ask that I'll do one.
Garret - Where did you get the back light?
It's an LED lamp I covered up...like a table lamp. Many LEDs on Amazon.
Very cool! Sorry for your loss. What bit did you use?
Hi Brandon. Thanks for the condolences. It was definitely hard times.
The bit is a Widgetworks -degree spring-loaded diamond engraver. I looked around and the only other I could find was one on amazon that had bed reviews for glass engraving.
Here's a link to their site. Search for 'diamond' www.WidgetWorksUnlimited.com/?Click=8456
What tool path you use on vcarve
Hello Herschel. This was done with aprofile toolpath on the line, 0.1" depth, 120 degree widgetworks diamond bit 30ips. Does that answer the question?
Yes thanks
Would a 90 work too
Did you do any photo editing
@@herschemiller7863 no. Did all work on top of original. This was with arcs. I would draw circles around lighter colors and snip . I should probably make a video on this. It's a bit tedious.
