I love when you insert a " history lesson" on a special find. That's one reason I love your channel. Love the stories and history behind metal detecting digging! Thanks Hoover Boys!
sorry to be off topic but does someone know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me

Anyone who detects in the woods has dug a hole a foot away from a can thinking they are right on it. I laughed my ass off on that part. Great video as usual.
Thanks Hoover Boys for another laugh (several) and a smile. I save your videos until I am having a rough day and make sure to end the day watching and listening to you crack each other up. Keep it up!
Both commentators apologizing for spelling epaulet (or epaulette) wrong and acknowledging that the other was correct...oh well, who wants to be an English professor when you could be a treasure hunter!
Thanks for posting the videos. Look forward to Wednesdays. Your cut in's on the history of The Hoover Boys finds are outstanding. Can tell it brings excitement to you and to us. Keep up the good work. Once again. Thanks
See Kurt......Someone else agrees with me! Around 16:11 you put in that little history lesson and I ❤️your delivery!! You really should do a history channel documentary! I knew I wasn't the only fan on the history lesson!
Hahaaa. Bobs pinpointer is a little off. That was funny! Thanks for sharing! Some amazing buttons on this episode. The dragoon’s history is interesting! Stay safe!! Kevin
I LOVE the Dragoons info. Huge fan of learning more about the artifacts you find. You are inspiring a new generation to love history. Great Civil War episode!
Still catching up on all your past videos. I do like the videos where you are all together. The friendship must run deep for you all to put up with each other. Lol. Keep saving history and keep the laughs coming.
Great finds guys! You all are my favorites to watch. Trying to get a good day out here in AZ to get with my nephew and go find some treasure or history!
Love all your civil war finds, my husband would freak out over the license plate, he collects them! Brad must think he is Tarzan, trying to swing on that vine!
Great dig everybody, congrats to Kurt for your first Dragoons button and John for your Civil War buttons. Enjoyed the video and as always Be Safe and HH my friends.
Congrats on the Dragoon button Kurt and thanks again for putting together an awesome hunt for us to enjoy! Always look forward to you guys getting together and hitting the woods and fields. Mike in sunny Florida
Hilarious hunt. All nice finds, Dragoon included, but I have to say Bobby was the star of the show. Barber dime and a cool pocket watch, but LMFAO when he dug a hole 1 foot away from his bazinga surface junk. And then could barely climb into the truck at the end. Ha! Not to mention Billy Buick finding the licence plate. He's either going to find the whole car or build it piece by piece. Stinky stinky. LoL!!
If y'all ever want to detect in connecticut let me know. My relatives got a nice property on an old mining/wagon trail in Connecticut with a lot of old walls. I've found some great stuff there
I forget to like your vids too many times. You guys rock. I live in Montana. Not a lot of old relics. Found a Virginia City dime once. Keep them coming.
That was a great hunt! Beautiful buttons and great relics. I think your civilian button might have belonged to a "camp follower" (snicker). You guys keep finding these amazing sites. Thanks!
CONGRATULATIONS to the Hoover Boys on some PHENOMENAL FINDS!! Kurt, I know about DRAGOON BUTTONS!! Because my old dirt hunting partner, who I lost back in June.of 2019, had found a DRAGOON COAT BUTTON about 20 yrs. ago here in Delaware!! But, all of you made some GREAT FINDS!! I look forward to future hunts on those same grounds!! NamVetLesTreasureSeeker.
Just watched your first two videos when you first started out, wow you have come a long way, love the history. looks like you have a great group of guys to save history with also. Keep up the good shows.
The strip of metal with a slot in it at 7:30 looks like a hasp. A fixed loop goes through the slot and a padlock is hooked through the loop. It looks slightly curved at the wide end which is where it would have been hinged. .
Great, another interesting video from one of my favorite digging teams. You had so much fun with each other again and your finds can be seen as always. Please, just keep going, it is a pleasure to see you searching and finding.🤩☘️💫👍
Lmfao ! I Luv that Bob dug that target 10 miles from where it was from! I think we all have done that once! Way kool spot! Those J hooks are great too! Good Vidayoo!
At least Brad didnt break anything....LOL. This was awesome. I have been waiting since last video...where you left us hanging. This is better than the cliff hangers on Oak Island. Only you guys actually found some GOOD STUFF. I am jealous
Kurt I have said it before and gladly repeat it, The HB videos are on par with Curse of Oak Island episodes. meaning its not always about the treasure itself, as much as maybe the story behind it all, such as the Dragoon's. The one button with the "cloverleaf" in the center I am wondering if it might not be of "Irish" decent LOL. Even finding that Gold French coin Kurt was super kewl and I'd love to hear a bit more on it as maybe someone could explain its route to the US. Great 2nd Half And good work to all.
I found a hatchet head at and old farm site. South east Colorado. A few years later I cleaned it up to a mirror finish and put a handle on it. I think it looks great.
@@thehooverboys According to Osage County Kansas History, Dragoon creek itself is reported to have been named after a troop of dragoons who came over the Santa Fe Trail in the 1850s, and possibly, for a dragoon, Samuel Hunt, whose grave is located just to the west, who was said to have died while crossing the creek. Sounds like a place I need to go check!
Lovely hunt guys, always fun hearing about the history too. That was some fine hill country, must have been hellish to march through fully rigged with backpacks on tho. Especially in the summer or winter. From my hubby's grt. grt. grandpa's civil war letters, we learned, tho he was as assistant surgeon with the 11th Indiana Vol. Reg., he was allowed to wear his civilian clothes. But when he made full surgeon he was required to wear his uniform with proper insignia and epaulets. Which means that button you found Kurt, that was civilian in its looks, could still have been worn by an actual soldier. by the by ...I sure heard that buck snort there at the last, it was too loud to be barking spiders. ...ha ha ha... "Better out with shame than in with pain," my dad used to say. But that is why, "Old fart", is now more delicately rendered, "Superannuated Bilious Effluvium!"
Absolutely love the Dragoon button. You guys have such a blast detecting. I wish I lived closer to you all. Have a great weekend. Your friend Steve Bonds in Bay City Michigan USA
So many great finds but to see someone get their first CW bullet was cool. I will find mine in the next couple years fingers crossed. Thanks for sharing, good luck, happy hunting and take care.
you guys find the most amazing things real history from the civil war and others love the axe heads and buttons bullets well done guy look forward to the next video thanks
OMG KURT!!! At 7:50 you just found a soldiers epilate plate. That attached to the shoulder and it had the shoulder scales on it. That is an amazing find, and in a way a civil war “plate”. Great find man.
Awesome finds fellas! Id love to dig my first CW 3 ringer as well. First Dragoon ive seen dug on camera! WTG Kurt. B-Rad...that axe cleaning was disturbing...giggity. love it guys!
Awsome vid guys!.. Kurt i think that piece you asked about is a lock hinge plate like off an amo box. Quick question .. If Bob is "Bobby buttons" should Bill be "Billy bottles" lol
Kurt, I've noticed in some of the recent videos it looked like your pants had knee pads. I was just curious if they are the Duluth Trading Firehose pants. I have a couple pair and those things are indestructible.
I can't wait to wear my pants as high as bobby buttons does when I get older! As someone previously mentioned the brass strap is part of epaulet or shoulder scales. Go back and look for the rest of it. I'm sure it's there. Next time your in Va (I assume) send me an invite!
Absolutely fantastic digging guys, I love the buttons especially the Dragoons that's stunning, unlucky bobby on your not gold pocket watch, I have one 😉😊, happy hunting guys , & kurt means so much you still wear my welsh pin on your hat, that's 5 years for sure
I love when you insert a " history lesson" on a special find. That's one reason I love your channel. Love the stories and history behind metal detecting digging! Thanks Hoover Boys!

Nailed it! Plate from Epilette (spelling)
James Been I realized that after I posted it.

I was soo pulling for your gold pocket watch Bob!! I like the Civil War hunts, we never know what you'll find. Great hunt!!
Love all your civil war finds, my husband would freak out over the license plate, he collects them! Brad must think he is Tarzan, trying to swing on that vine!
Great show guys, good job. Thanks as always.
The small .36 caliber bullet that Brad found is a Remington St.Louis Arsenal 'Teardrop" bullet.
Awesome vid. Love the hunts when it’s dead of winter for me. Bob, nice pocket watch. It did say 8:30 until the arm got broken off. Great vid boys
Great dig everybody, congrats to Kurt for your first Dragoons button and John for your Civil War buttons. Enjoyed the video and as always Be Safe and HH my friends.

I need to do some research, but we have a creek in Kansas Named Dragoon Creek. Need to find out why it was named that.
That’s awesome
