Absolutely BRILLIANT idea using a walking stick for a hand hold! I was dreading adding another boring plastic grip to the inside. Love to see how people “think INSIDE the box”!!
I live in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and there is a local guy who makes walking sticks. (Sorry Mandy!) We’re going to play around and find one that’s “just right”. I’m a little goofy when it comes to picking out pretty wood grains, lol. His are hefty enough to screw in a few small hooks to hang keys on also. Will most a pic once it’s done.
Lots of good ideas. Modifications by real long-stay users help show the rest of us where the small footprint pinches, as well as what can be done about it.
I did too. That was a really great idea. I am constantly grabbing the edge of the door when I go out. I happen to have a walking stick that will work. I just need to figure out how I'm going to mount it.
@@sandyw821 Make sure to use something strong, you don't want to get hurt walking down steps and having the stick come off the wall. I'm thinking bolts however, need to make sure the walls can handle them.
I respect a guy who still wears Jams World shirts after all these years😊 Not sure about the lady who gave away her hiding spot under the hanging picture though.
Hi guys, i find these videos really interesting and i get to see how ingenious campers can be. I think it's to do with living in a small place and maximising space. Some great ideas in this video. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you so much for doing this.. I wasn't able to make the even this year because of prior obligations.. was really hoping to see what folks had done with their T@Bs.. Thanks for this and all of your videos.
I too, like others, here were impressed with the walking stick grab bar to exit the camper. We wonder how it was installed. I looked carefully at that section and it’s attached to the side of the wood shelf about the window to the right of the door and at the bottom to the side of the cupboard. BRILLIANT. Doing that today!!!!
Love the Wings for the galley. Guess she's got a new customer. I did a bunch of mods to my T@G - external solar charging port with parallel/serial switch to the rooftop panel, LiFePO4 battery bank, Roku player tied into the TV mounted behind the panel with USB port for media sticks, battery monitor and the biggest mods are propex ducted gas furnace and I replaced the microwave (it's a XL model) with full extension drawers. Next is to replace the Dexter torsion axle with a off-road worthy suspension. It's the boondock edition but I'd rather have a real off-road suspension. I also switched the 2" hitch with a off-road hitch - of course that's a mod you only need when you intend to tow the thing to places other people don't or can't go.
you all probably dont give a shit but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Andres Aries I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@@MandyLea I am going to order a TAB 400 Solo and your video has given me great ideas to personalize it…it’s going to be my full time home for as long as I can take living out of a trailer which we did for two years full timing but that was a big fifth wheel..I am looking forward to a simpler life. Again thank you for this video!
We are going to be, hopefully, buying a TAB (either a 320 or possibly a 400) in the not too distant future. Some of these mods are really great! Look forward to trying some of these when we eventually get our Tab
I love those wind wings! I’ve seen them on other teardrops but so far have only seen DIY patterns for the T@B clamshells and they seem way too hard for me to sew myself. I’m definitely going to check those out! Thanks! XO

Mandy Lea Photo You are excellent at sharing other people’s ideas! In doing so, you create a broader sense of community while revealing your photographers instinct for unique perspective. The way you capture people and their great ideas makes each subject interesting and lovable. Thank you!
Great video and thanks for sharing. An odd ball question for y'all. For those of you that have been living the nomad life no matter what you're living in or out of, have you noticed a difference in your health, an improvement? I've noticed that in the past decade of my various forms of nomadic living that I very rarely ever get sick. Unlike being sick in a stick and brick dwelling where I got the flu annually. I've always been curious as to whether it was environmental, physical or a spiritual change. Anyways a whole lot less stress on this end. Safe travels to all and good night.
I still have plenty of stress because we are still working to make a living on the road - but it is balanced by a lot more happiness. And yes! We hardly ever get sick. We've each only had one cold in 3 years.
Love everyones ideas and helpful shares today. But what caught my eye in a big way was the natural wood table top swap out. Wondered where she got the swing about base. I've seen similar in other trailers over the years but haven't seen them for sale as individual use or just as a base alone so you can add a top of choice. I'm a huge fan of the natural edged wood slabs living in the heart of NW Rockies. Just fantastic shares however so stay safe everyone and happy camping.
Well done as always Mandy! Some awesome ideas from some awesome folks! It’s no wonder my brother from another mother, Pat Wilson, looks so damn good all the time with that shirt hanger device he rigged up. Time for me to get with the program.
Thanks! Lots of good ideas. I’m down to 3 choices for my purchase and I’m leaning towards a T@b 320 S, Little Guy Mini Max or an RPod. Yours looks like a T@b 400. Anyway, thanks again for all the great ideas.

Mandy, great video with lots of ideas! We are brand new Tab 400 owners- I noticed the curtains made to cover the big window in the dining area- could you please expand on how those are mounted and how you make them? Thanks so much!
Sorry for the slow response!! The curtains I made don't actually cover the window. They are more aesthetic and just go around the sides for looks (and it gives me a good place to hang my pins!).
